Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria is being offered around Europe to top clubs including Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain.

Argentinian star Di Maria has had an indifferent season at Real Madrid and agents are now sounding out interest before his long-term future is decided.

Meanwhile, Anderson has vowed to do all he can to stay at Manchester United and prove he is not a £20million flop.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be sold in the Summer.

Ed any truth in this?
Dan {Ed002's Note - The issue would be finding a club to fund a move that Ronaldo would want to move to. They will certainly be selling to fund some purchases.}

Ed I know you don't like to talk money but assuming we have 20m to 25m in plyer sales this summer do you believe that we could afford a net transfer budget of 80m going out? Hypothetical of course.
It seems like we are bringing a fair bit in at the moment.

Dan {Ed002's Note - These are simply random numbers - one of the reasons not to discuss money Dan.}

Hey eds+Sydney, if any of ye get a chance I'm just wondering do any of ye have an idea as to what positions united could be looking to strengthen in the summer?i think a cm is must, some say begovic could be on the way, rumours of strootman, eriksen, Wanyama, Isco, Rodriguez etc, just wondering what ye think or know?thanks Sydney and eds, great work on the site as always

I would say Begovic in for DDG or Lindegaard (hopefully the latter). Strootman, Wanyama or Bender in for a midfield berth and if he hasn't already agreed a deal with BM, then possibly Lewandowski. Zaha will come in for Nani and I imagine one or two youth will be purchased. Much will depend on outgoings IMO.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Although I wasn't asked, I'll give my opinioms anyway. I think up to two cm's, a left back and a forward play who prefers the left hand side.

Ideally - Digne, Strootman, Modric and Rodriguez.

If you want to get an idea of the positions we might strengthen then just keep track of the players we scout. We have been scouting strikers, left backs, Holding/defensive mids as well as very young attacking midfielders (18 or under). That is exactly how I see our summer going with possibly another CB coming in as well if Vidic and Ferdy leave.

I don't see ddg going, or begovic coming in. No strikers, probably a winger or 2, maybe a single cm, possibly a fullback.

Agree3 Disagree0

Sydney, no other wingers other than Zaha in your opinion then? We could of course be moving away from wingers, maybe only have Zaha, Valencia and Young? Young and Zaha can play in a fluid front 3 so I guess its plausible. Maybe Lewandowski replaces Nani? Or he replaces Welbeck / Hernandez.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD WE GET RID OF DDG?! CRAZY TALK! LAST 2 GAMES HE HAS BEEN GOOD AND THAT WILL ONLY IMPROVE, THAT I AM CERTAIN OF!

Scott.

Agree3 Disagree0

I agree with Scott the SHOUTER! DDG has been a good acquisition we knew his faults when we signed him and naturally over the next 3 years he will bulk out and retain his suppleness, he will be a goalkeeper of the Schmeical mold.

Everyone talking up Begovic needs to remember he plays for a lesser team so he has far more action to deal with more shots = more saves. Al Habis is the biggest clown since David James yet remarkably teams like Liverpool are looking at him (maybe not that remarkable as they are the worst buyers in football), it is so misleading looking at goalkeepers for lesser teams.

We need Hummels, Rodriguez/Munian and a defensive midfielder, probably not popular but I like Mulumbu. Out with Nani (unfortunately Valencia), Young, Rooney. That will free up the funds, wage allowance and mean we leave out the wingers from our formation which is where we are heading with the signing of Kagawa and focus on players like Clevs.

Sween

Agree0 Disagree1

Sorry sween, left the caps lock on! :os but yeah agreed defence and midfield needs re-inforcing for sure!

Agree0 Disagree0

No way Rooney will be sold unless someone offers silly money (at least 750m, probably more).

Could see us moving away from wingers though, both Kagawa and Rooney could flourish in the hole with playmakers on either side (Isco perhaps, and who else?)

Agree0 Disagree0

Holly crap Thorne if we get 750m for Rooney we could buy Ronaldo and Messi and pay the debt off lol. Katef

Agree1 Disagree0

Lol, not sure how I got a 7 in there. Anyway that's barely enough to keep CR7 in hairgel for a season.
