If united win the league and do well
In champions league this is what iv been tild will happen in the summer

Out
Carrick 10m
Berbatov 15m (anzhi)
Park 5m

In
Modric or Mountiniho
Gago 10m
A young striker in the mould of berba 12m {Ed007's Note - So what happens if they don't do well in the CL? Not buy anyone??}

Believable1 Unbelievable32

Who told you that - your mate down the pub?

Marky Mark

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah, that guy who swears he safs great Grandad who lives in the bushes next to the duck pond in Glasgow who gives you united tips if you feed him Hovis Best of Both...also goes by the name Ed007 ;)

JWalk {Ed007's Note - That's just uncalled for!! It's 002's bush I live in ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Well this is bullsheizer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Berbas is out of contract next year

Agree0 Disagree0

A striker in mould of berb!
We have the real Tussard wax model sat on the bench don't need to replace it just need rid
KingE

Agree0 Disagree0

If you had just said this is what I would like United to do next summer then people wouldn't jump on your back like they have. Saying you have a source/have been told by someone is just stupid as that info isn't widely available.

Agree0 Disagree0

Carrick out for £10 million? I'd say more like £4 million!

Berbatov out for £15 million? I'd snatch their hand off for that price for him!

Park won't go nowhere. He hasn't long been signed a new deal at United.

Modric won't come. He has his heart set on a move to Chelsea. Spurs also turned a last minute £40 million bid from Chelsea on deadline day. So, if SAF does want him... he'll have to cough up!

Gago... why? we don't need him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Berba for £15m? His contract runs out in the summer so he's a free agent. That basically screws up that theory then

Who does everybody think our defence will be tomorrow, with Smalling, Vida and Ferdy (whats going on with him, is he out?) i can see some of the youth being tried! but whom? I think Pogba will be on the bench ready to come on at some point, i would have him start but i dont have Sir at the start of my name.......yet.

(sir)JWalk

;)

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Rio has calf injury was close to being in squad sunday

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers pardoe, goes without saying that well have a young defence, will be interesting to see how our young lads will be able to cope with very bitter rival fans hurling abuse ;0

JWalk

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Carrick & Fletcher at CB as they both need games?

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think fletch will start after playing on sunday as well.

JWalk

Agree0 Disagree0

Tom Thorpe is to make his debut at centre back and Valencia will again play at right back, where he will be used untill Smalling and Raffael are fit again,Evra is to be rested and will be replaced by Fabio.

I thought the Mirror said we were being bought by Qatari's today. Is this a quarterly thing. I thought they were buying us on June 30th. I suppose the Mirror will run the story again in December.

So what is it to be Flotation or the Qatari's

Mike the Moston Red

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Glazers decided not to float yet as market is volatile even though they have been approved to float club.

Also you said Mirror they tend to print alot of bull!!

ed do you think we will sign snijder in januray {Ed004's Note - No}

Believable7 Unbelievable16

We wont buy big in january unless we are desperate. by next summer sneijder will be 28 so unless his fee has fallen then we wont spend that kind of money on him. someone like goetze who will be 20 next summer and after this season will have experience in the champions league

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be a great buy gotze would do well and sir Alex Ferguson would get the best out of him

Agree0 Disagree0

No.

SAF has the squad to win the Premier League again without Sneijder.

SAF wanted Sneijder to help us topple Barcelona in the champions league. But, Sneijder has featured in the champions league for Inter Milan now so if we did buy him in January he would only play in Premier League. He wouldn't be allowed to play European games because he would be cup-tied.

I can't see SAF spending £35 million on a player he doesn't really need just to help United win the league again which they're capable of doing so with the squad they already have.

Welbeck, Vidic, Hernandez and Cleverley I believe will all be back for the Liverpool game which is in 3 league games time.

I think Evra has lost his touch,he is no-where near where he was 2 seasons ago.
Rafael is very good right back no doubt about that,..but Fabio can also be a good right back,he has played as a right back last season and did very well...
My question is,..can Fabio take over from Evra and be a regular left back in the year`s time or do we have to look for someone for that spot..some names will be thrown one of them is Izaguirre.!
Anyone.?

DC_9

Believable10 Unbelievable16

I think that Rafael is a good right back. I also think that Fabio is a good right back. But who's a better right back?

There's only one way to find out ...

FIGHT!!!!

Danny Pughnited

Agree0 Disagree0

Evra was back to his best against Chelsea let's hope he keeps it up!

Agree0 Disagree0

Evra was okay apart from the two occasions Ramires slipped him and had two good chances against De Gea with Evra in no mans land. Can't wait for Vidic to return. I hope it's this Saturday.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay i can understand people's frustration at Carrick 'loosing his touch' but Evra?!
No no, i still believe many teams fear old Patrice.. He's so experienced and he's got such a fighting spirit on or off the ball! Fans should be happy we still have him.

Ozwald {Ed004's Note - But he is loosing his legs every season now and that will cost us. I think a replacement needs to be bought this summer. Bale would be the expensive one or Izaguirre}

Agree0 Disagree0

Obviously you did not watch yesterdays game, as Evra was superb, his best game this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way we could sign bale. Definitely Barca will get him.

Agree0 Disagree0

How about evans as a left back? he wouldnt have as much defensive responsibility and he is able to pick a pass

Agree0 Disagree0

Evra's qualities are his pace and attacking support. Watch how many times he takes the ball down the left hand side. If you can think of many better than Evra then feel free to list. He's as good as any other in the Prem and up their with the best in Europe.
As for the person saying Evans as left back, some Utd fans baffle me. Also, why do we need to buy a left back? Fabio looks a great prospect.

Rant over.

Agree0 Disagree0

Evra is getting older. Sure, i've seen him make some bad defensive mistakes. But, Evra is easily one of the best leaders on the team. Just look at his relationship with Young, Park, and others. He has a bright and welcoming attitudes. Saying that, it might be his last year as a starter but still play.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Every time you yo-yos mumble nonsense about Evra being past it, I laugh. I laugh because of how remarkably obvious it is that none of you knows a thing about football.

Next time you feel like mimicking some popular tripe you've heard or *gasp* read, instead of echoing the thought with a vacuous look on your faces, do a little research yourself on Evra's statistics.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think whenever we play fabio we struggle defensively. He's to lightweight

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought Evra had a good game against Chelsea but on the whole I do agree that he isn't up there as much as he was 2 seasons ago.

Fabio is not a bad player. But he's only young still and I don't think he could yet read the game as well as Evra. Evra has a few years more experience over Fabio.

If Evra left in January, I would look for another Left Back that would be our number one Left Back. There isn't many of them around these days although Aly Cissokho and Fabio Coentrao do stick out for me. Coentrao just recently moved to Real Madrid though so we couldn't even bid for him.

If RM continue to play like this, days are not far when they will be the most hated club in Europe, maybe then players wont go there and we might have chance to bring in talented players.

anyone think evans might be better in midfield?

Believable1 Unbelievable33

You pal are a jackass Evans has no huge spark same as carrick in the long run these players will let us down I can see it miles away in fact I can see it from ireland ...... Caino

Agree0 Disagree0

NO!

MDJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you off your head!! enough said.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not too mad an idea, his long range passing has been pretty great this season. But the pace of the PL would kill him. He's slow enough on his feet for a defender, but in midfield he'd be slaughtered.

If any Serie A clubs are watching though, he'd make a pretty decent deeplying playmaker for you. We'll take £20 million in cash or a large bag of cashew nuts, your choice.

Danny Pughnited

Agree0 Disagree0

Daftest thing ive ever heard! hahahhhaa

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, in somebody elses midfield.

Sydney ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Evans is average at best, and that's in any position...hopefully by playing him regularly now we can at least get a decent cash sum for him next summer...
we have a great squad but I hate it when the likes of carrick and evans get drafted in as they immediately pull down the overall quality of our play, would rather gamble on youngsters (e.g. pogba for carrick) at least then they get the chance to develop and we could get the likes of carrick off the wage bill {Ed004's Note - You need some experience in the dressing room, and Carrick does a good job when he plays}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed004, OK so I agree experience is important, and we have lost a lot recently, so if carrick goes next summer we will definitely need to bring in some experience

(preferrably Modric + one other!)

However, I cant agree that Carrick does a good job for us on the pitch anymore. I havent seen it for a long time (apart from the Chelsea match last year). Whenever he features our play seems slower, more lethargic, less cutting-edge etc. I find it frustrating tbh when he is on the team sheet

If we could give Pogba some experience in the Carling cup and as a sub I would prefer to see the likes of him getting a chance before Carrick towards the end of the season, if he proves himself oviously - if only in terms of providing that little extra cutting-edge

anyway, as you can tell I'm no Carrick fan :

HP
(sorry forgot to sign the first time)

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you say midfield or Minefield I know which one I would prefer to see him in. RAINFISHTROMBONE

Agree0 Disagree0

What was that about backing players in the red shirt?

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought he played well yesterday, but still wouldn't have him anywhere near mid field!

Percy

Agree0 Disagree0

What the fudge evans plays well every1 slates him u knw wat I'm sick of people thinkin they know better then alex ferguson if SAF thinks evans is good enough to play I support him an wish him all the best I guess since berbatov not playing fickle fake united "fans" need someone else to criticise it makes me sick

Dick van dyke

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is mid field? it seems like it should be somewhere in the american mid_west. Perhaps if he is going there we could get an extra ticket and send gibson as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I would like to see Evans in the changing rooms where he belongs. He is the weak link.....always has been always will be.

Agree0 Disagree0

You'd like to see him in the changing room. That's a bit saucy isn't it. Pre or post shower?

Danny Pughnited

Agree0 Disagree0

You lot are clueless! Mr J Evans

Agree0 Disagree0

Sell him. We should have bought Simon Kjaer in stead.

Personally i would love to see Edison Cavani at united he has a lot of potential and is already one of the most wanted player's in europe another hat trick v AC yesterday looked very good against City last week has all the assets needed to become a world class striker what do you guys think of him?

PRR8

Believable13 Unbelievable3

I havent seen much of him tbh but from what I have seen he seems quality, also, talksport's "european correspondent" (not the best source I know but at least he has watched him regularly) mentioned him in the same breath as rooney and messi this afternoon - suggesting that in terms of an out-and-out no. 9 (as opposed to a more creative no. 10 role like the other 2) he is among the best out there!

I for one am looking forward to seeing more of him play this year, and fingers crossed SAF or one of his spies do the same!

HP {Ed004's Note - He is a brilliant player}

Jamie Redknapp says on SSN that United want Modric. He obviously talks to daddy. So now Chelsea have signed Meireles & Mata who likes to come inside, will Chelsea still want Modric? Will Levy stop him from leaving next summer too if Modric wants out?

Sydney!

Believable5 Unbelievable9

You read into things way to much mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lampard will be out the team,They will see Modric as the ideal replacement.

Agree0 Disagree0

With the knowledge that Chelsea & United wanted Modric and the possibility of Chelsea no longer wanting him, you have to see that there is always a chance of him coming here, especially seems we haven't filled the position yet. Lampard could go next year, but can Chelsea go on another spending spree next summer too? Wouldn't they pushing their luck with these FFP rulings? Just a thought.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if chelsea don't want him he doesn't want us, he made that clear in the summer and i don't want players here if were not their first choice to play for. besides we won't spend the money required to get him, i'd rather go for Mouthinho anyway now.
Shappy

Agree0 Disagree0

Shappy it's not that he doesn't want us, Its juat that chelsea were to only team to make an official offer. I know he said he wanted to stay in london but if United made a bid and it was accepted. do you still think modric will reject it? Also i think redknapp will prefer to sell modric to man utd bcos of the last window and with fergie respecting redknapps stance on modric. TRUMORS

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds like a bit of a long shot to me this....having said that, I'll be praying this theory has some accuracy as in my opinion Modric is the one player who would elevate Utd's play over and above anyone else we have been linked with

he's averaging almost a pass per minute in the prem at the moment, just one of many stats that illustrate his dominance of creative play in the middle of the park...which just happens to be what we need!

and before anyone mentions the fact he doesnt score goals, 1 - Utd arent lacking goalscorers with Rooney, Hernandez, Young and Nani all firing, and 2 - Modric does have the ability to score golas anyway...just look at the goals he has managed for Spurs (mostly screamers) and tell me he isnt likely to score 10+ in Utd's team, with more opportunities to go forward

anyway as you can tell I'm a fan of Modric, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed until next summer : )

HP

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if he scored none, the amount of goals he would create would be startling. But I do agree, he would score around 10 goals easily in this United team.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think United should buy a young and good defender in Jan and let Jones play in mid. I know he said he prefers defense but now he is so much confident on ball while going forward. It would be a waste of great talent IMO if he doesnt play in mid more often.

SHAITAN

Believable3 Unbelievable20

Or with Vidic ferdinand and Rafael back from injury along with Smalling Evans Fabio and Evra we could buy no one and just play Jines there.
Shappy

Agree0 Disagree0

*Jones* obviously. lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Ferdinand has a couple of years left on him, Evans is no good, Evra is OK at the moment so we should be looking at one more defender.

SHAITAN

Agree0 Disagree0

Jones seems to have a similar style of play to the legendary Franz Beckenbauer, both confident on the ball and can bring it out of defence.
In defence of Evans at least he has been paying attention to Paul Scholes coaching as his passing is improving(and very similarly styled!)

Those could have been Indian Sikhs, they wear turbans and you can always spot some next to the united dugout at OT. But they wont be escorted by MUFC security for sure.

Did anyone see the mistake made by Reina for Tottenham's third goal? If that was De Gea they (media, blue noses, scousers etc) would have been all over it like a tramp on a bag of chips!!

Salford C

Believable13 Unbelievable3

Totally agree with you

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but the press wants to knock the top teams and their players as it sells more papers then knocking players from teams nobody cares about.
Shappy {Ed001's Note - apart from Shappy having a point, if Liverpool were top of the table it would have been in the news. I think a lot more of it comes down to how Reina conducts himself, he is well liked by people, so there are no press desperate to jump on him. He is also not a recent huge money signing like De Gea and so has had time to prove himself.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yh but lets be honest reina has proven to be one of the leagues best keepers and de gea is new so tht is why they are down on him like a sack of s*it to try and make something bad of man utd's amazing season

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Sep 2011 06:32:25
although we played well that midfield has to be strenghtened carrick is a no no and in defence evans just does not have the authority of a vidic this was a great result against a top team but we can do a lot better title20 on its way

Believable11 Unbelievable7

Have to agree with this, Carrick is brutal not good enough and never will be same goes for Evans, I think righ back could be a proble for us as Smalling is a centre back not a right back but is doing ok, Rafel seems injury prone not is not the bset defender inthe world. Fletcher is a shadow of himself hopefully things will get better for him as he was only back. still say we shouold have signed a scjnyder(sorry for the spelling) type player as our 2 midfielders were bad yesterday. Have to say Jones is a class player, hopefully we can keep this run going and get title no 20 in the bag
