Hi Ed - keen to get your insight on the future of Alexis Sanchez please in light of OGS' recent comments on him.

Just find it ofd we scramble around signing Ighalo, when we have a better player on our books who could play striker who we own and are paying for our on loan at Inter?

Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - It is not a simple thing to end a loan early - and in most cases it is not possible - particularly given he has been out injured for most of the season. As I have explained before, Manchester United want him moved on but there is no interest right now.}

Ighalo now confirmed. We could have done a lot worse by not signing anyone.

He is not the quality player that everyone wants at United but, at least we have some cover upfront. We left it too late and that's the type of player we are going to end up with most often on transfer deadline day.

I am glad we signed someone, we are already short of options with just Martial and Greenwood and imagine having an injury to either of them, it would had been disastrous.

From what I have seen, Ighalo seems decent for the short term - decent pace, can dribble and is a little trickier inside the box, has a physical presence and can score goals. He also is a lot busier than Martial and the opposition defense would not be as comfortable as they have been.

He is probably a United fan as well and is his last chance to play for a big club and that too at United. I feel he would feel privileged to play for us and would give his all, fulfilling his dream in the process.

There is not much expectation or pressure on him as he is a underdog right now and that could really help him play his natural game and probably he is going to surprise a lot of people. If he can score anywhere between 10-15 goals during his time here, it would be a great loan spell.

let's play exactly my thoughts.
There seems to be a shift in transfer strategy.
We are looking for hungrier and these 2 100% want to play for United.
One is potentially world class.
And the other is a seasoned striker on loan.
Could well be the difference for top 4 finish.
