@Stoke are very close to signing David Wheater of Boro for a mere £1.5m, with Huth saying he is 100% staying with the club, is Shawcross on his way out? Remember we have first option on him. We also know that Fergie has phoned him on a few occasions so could he be on his way back home?

The way Fergie rotates the squad he will not always be an unused sub and will play pretty often through the season. Editor do you think Shawcross could be an option with J Evans being sold?

Been a while since i posted on this site. But seeing that blaire mayne has returned here i felt like sharing some of my thoughts. First of all i would like to adress the gk situation, i think we will sign someone with a low profile and a very good work ethic like marseiles no 1 whats his name. Then moving on to the midfield i'd like for us to sign someone from real madrid maybe one of the diarras or even one of frenando gago or sergio canales. Who knows? Afterall snieder, robben and vdv are all rm rejects. Then on the left i'd like to see someone like an oscar cardozo who can play both as a winger as well as a striker and finally i'd like to see people like ravel morrison and paul pogba promoted to the first team

Cleverley : Jan recall option available, as per Rudderpost and SAF, Tom will likely return.

Sir Alex gets serious about Adler after Man Utd clause revelation

clause' in his contract should the Premier League giants come knocking.

And BILD this morning says United are now seriously weighing up a move for Adler as

Adler is a product of the Leverkusen youth academy and has made well over 100 official appearances for the Werkself since making his debut in February 2007.

The shot stopper has also been capped at senior level for Germany.

I have no contacts just my opinion but I believe that 3/4 players will be signed with the 4th depending on whether Evans is sold. I think a new GK will be signed with my preferred choice being de gea, a CM, a LW and possibly a CB. The left wingers will be between young, sanchez and bale although bale is highly unlikely. The CM will be rodwell and the goalkeeper will be between de gea, adler, neuer and stekelenburg. I hope we get de and if not then neuer. Finally, it depends on whether sir alex still has faith in jonny evans as to whether a centre back is signed. He may well stick with evans but if not either gary cahill or shawcross will be signed, most likely shawcross. Also, van der sar and neville will retire with giggs and scholes to stay on for one more year to ease the transition of new players.
