Mike Phelan just refused to answer the queestion on 5 live when asked if ronaldo was returning to Old Trafford he replied no comment, after answering all the other questions.

Hasn't mike left?

Ozwald

Agree5 Disagree0

Yeah he has left. Probably just said no comment because he genuinely doesn't know because he has nothing to do with the football club anymore.

Agree0 Disagree2

Doesn't know but doesn't want to let on he doesn't know.

Agree2 Disagree2

Even if he has left he will still know everything going on behind the scenes he will still talk to SAF so he defo knows what's happening

Agree4 Disagree1

He was SAF right hand man literally, and a deal like this would like this would have been set in motion a long time ago. I for one believe this rumor because honestly it makes sense. Ronny is the type of player who yearns for the love and praise of fans, something he knows he will get at United. He also won the Bollon d'Or, Champions League and all of his other silverware there. Plain and simple he is coming back. It's not if, just when. I would bet my house on it too that Phelan knows all of the details.

Agree6 Disagree4

Rather have Bale

Agree6 Disagree12

Dont rememer ronaldo winning ballon d'or

Agree2 Disagree9

Ronaldo won the Ballon D'or in 2008 after his brilliant season this us

Red Man

2008. Fact

Agree4 Disagree0

It's possible you don't remember Ronaldo winning the Ballon d'Or if you're only four years old in which case I commend you on your ability to use a computer. Kids these days. Just keep surprising you!

Ryan.

Transfer window is open Moyes is the new manager heard we may be in for Sneijder too . not

Believable19 Unbelievable108

Give it a few weeks before Sneijder is mentioned on here ;)

Ozwald

Agree2 Disagree1

So few weeks ago, we were told to wait for Moyes to start, then we were told to wait until transfer window opens. All this, while city, barca, Chelsea, bayern, real, Monaco were going round buying the best players available.
So now Moyes is in the job officially, and transfer window is open officially, and nothing has happened.

Agree3 Disagree6

Haha, half a dozen of hours have gone by and you're complaining nothing has happened?! Have some flippin' patients would you.

Ozwald

Agree9 Disagree0

Unbelievable no name! You expecting bale, Ronaldo and thiago before close of today?

Agree4 Disagree0

Lets be fair city and Chelsea signed their players before the managers had even become managers? I for one would rather Moyes take his time and get the players he wants and not what the chairmen think you want.
Transfer deadline isn't til end of August and sly sports stated that Moyes main priority was to talk to WR and these started 3 weeks ago. Obviously if WR wants to go then Moyes transfer dealings/targets will change, so give it time.

Agree2 Disagree0

Tucker, to be fair anyone who knows how it works behind the scenes like 99. 9% on this page will know that Varela, Garay, Strootman, Thiago, Baines, Di Maria, Lewandowski were all players SAF wanted. So even though we have waited until Moyes officially joined before we buy the majority of our players, they are still SAF's targets originally. I doubt all of the above will sign and I imagine Moyes may bring in one or two of his targets, but the players above are SAF's targets.

Sydney!

Agree2 Disagree2

We already knew about Moyes and transfer

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Thiago was planned as it was unforeseen that his release clause would be activated. That probably made us show an interest again. I may be naive here but I assume that talks with DM was at an advanced stage way before Fergie announced his decision so he has had a whole to look at targets. Obviously DM and SAF have chatted about targets identified and I assume did so for the last few months (even with DM in charge of Everton). My point being is that the transfer targets will have been identified months ago. Not just when DM took charge. Admittedly as some have said; some may depend on Rooney but its good to see we are being linked with players for positions that everyone has been asking for. Ita slightly amusing that some people have complained about Baines! At least it shows that DM knows where we need to improve! Give the man a chance and judge his buys at the end of the season!

On a separate note. Eds - stop punishing us for the minority of persons that come in here. There are so many sites that are similar but I like the banter on here and greatly value the Eds work and input. I'm sure most do. I understand your stance and you have made your point but I feel that you are punishing the loyal people to this site. You could have blocked them but have taken it out on the 'innocent' rest of us (the ones who respect everything you do for this site). Each time I log on and you haven't replied makes me think how childish you're being. You're taking it out on all of us. You've made your point now please come back and let us enjoy the site for what it used to be. I'm getting incredibly bored now and it's just like any other football forum! Take your head for a wobble and think of the innocent ones! :-)

I suppose everyone missed the last word of that post then?

Agree1 Disagree0

My response was to the no name about city etc already signing players but we haven't! Nobody has signed anyone that makes me envious! Have patience!
