Could only listen to last night's game on the radio then saw the highlights but when I heard Fletcher was being moved to RB and Ando was later taken off I think that's where we lost the battle. Chelsea were able to run at the defence with ease. I am glad the manager took off Buttner and also brought on Powell but for me I would have taken off Giggs over Ando and would have liked to have kept Fletcher shielding the defence if there was any other option for RB/LB

I'm not too disheartened though, would have liked us to progress and even try to win the trophy but I'm glad out of the 2 games we picked up the 3 points in the league

Big game against Arsenal next, if we manage another 3 points we'd be in a good position with some more favourable fixtures ahead...

Anderson was shattered and the commentator said that he asked to be subbed. To be fair for him he was up and down the pitch, winning the ball and obviously getting the 3 assists. My man of the match.

I think the team were fantastic. The young lads at the back did us proud and they will learn from the manner in which the game came to a close.

With that said, isn't it about time we saw the back of Nani. Sorry to beat the same old drum, but the guy has no footballing brain whatsoever.

All the talent in the world, no ability to ever fulfill the potential. i think he could be fantastic in another league or for another team; but for us, his time has to be up.

Ando was unbelievably good. He tackled, chased people, move the ball, run up and down the pitch .... Etc. I would say if he can stay injury free and play like this we would have one of the best midfielders in the world in him. Mine man of the much as well.

Would have liked to see brady on for Buttner. I think fletcher moving to right back left chelsea a lot of freedom in the middle of the pitch and created problems for us on the right back. Powel just did not do enough in the middle of the pitch against the chelsea midfield.

Shahram

Agreed shahram. Another stupid decision by Ferguson when he could have brought Brady on and left fletcher in midfield. Why does he keep making stupid decisions?

On Anderson: "He was the best player on the pitch until he tired. He needs games now and hopefully we can give him them."

he did look like he was nearly gone, and signalled to the bench to be subbed to be fair.. still i would agree that brady at lb and raf to rb and fletch still in the middle would have been better.

As good as Anderson was why cant the guy ever last a game out? Surely thats a midfielders job to get up and down the pitch. Far too unfit is his problem which is a shame because the guy undoubtedly has bundles of talent.

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember Cloughie used to go round night clubs & bars checking his players weren't there.

Sir Alex will have to send Mike Phealen round all the Kfc's & Greggs to keep an eye out for Anderson.

He is looking the fittest I've ever seen at the mo. Let's hope he digs in more & stays off that treatment table.

Unbelievable how unfair you guys are.
No wonder Carrick and Scholes don't tire, they hardly move!
But Anderson gets stick big time for running his lungs out and tiring at the end?
Sure he could be as fit as Valencia or Nani, but give me a break!

Anyone think we may make a big signing in January? Or will it maybe be a youngster or two? I'd love to see Baines come in maybe Tom ince and possibly strootman.

Caolán.

Believable5 Unbelievable19

I can tell you Baines is not coming in. Everton want too much and besides we bought Buttner instead.

I dont rate tom, he's not even as good as Welbeck, and he is a year younger. Muniain is younger, and 10 times better.

Strootman is a playmaker, plays an attacking role and his defensive contribution is not better than cleverley or anderson. He is wayy too overrated, and not as good as other youngsters in his position ( veratti, wilshere, eriksen, maher and so on ). Would much rather have wanyama.

As for baines, i think he is great, a truely worldclass player, but he is 28, and a fullback. I dont think he has enough years left in him to be bought around the 20 mils mark. ( i know we got van persie for that much, even though he is older and more inury prone, but this is Robin Van Persie we 're talking about! )

Mick

What about Victor Wanyama from Celtic? Any real interest in him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mick that is what I have posted before on strootman as well. Everyone thinks he is a box to box holding midfielder but everytime i have watched psv he plays a lot higher up the pitch and more like lampard and scholes in their early years.

Finally, don't see us signing anyone in january and if a good offer comes in for Nani we will sell him.

Shahram

Agree0 Disagree0

If we do make any signings during January, which isn't that likely, Wanyama would be my choice. He'd give our midfield some muscle, he passes well with either foot, is capable of Yaya like forward runs, scored important goals and is also importantly a Man Utd supporter - Scolesy is his hero. We may have a bid for Ince, but I have seen little of him so have no opinion.
Mik

Agree0 Disagree0

Scottish press printing 12 to 17 million for victor wanyama in january.

Agree0 Disagree1

Doesn't Ince senior get involved a lot in Thom's life? If so that could break any deal.

Giggs & Ince are great buddies, but Sir Alex & Ince got on each others tits.

As for Strootmen I think we need to think better ability on the ball.

TJ

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the Wanyama bid could be £20+m. A host of clubs are looking at the young Celtic powerhouse, including Man C, Arsenal, Spurs & the usual suspects from Europe. Wanyama has a contract till 2015, but has refused an improved contract, so can see him leaving, the only question is where he will be going.

Agree0 Disagree0

Victor Wanyama !!

Would love to see Ince at United. We could really do with some fresh air on the wings.

This season our wingers have been a huge disappointment. He could make the position on the left wing his own.

He scored 8 goals and has 6 assists in 13 games. Quite good for a young lad. Even if it´s only in the championship.

Who else here would like to see tommy ince at united. He may not be united quality now but from what I've seen of him he is a big prospect for the future and can be a great player at a club like united. Just like his father

Believable17 Unbelievable8

I would, great pace brilliant skill on the ball and can beat a man, the only worry with him is he could turn into an Adam johnson kind of player.

Caolán.

Agree2 Disagree1

Why would we get him when we have :
-robbie brady: same age, just as good
-larnell cole : younger, more talented
-jesse lingard : see above.
- Josh king: very talented, might be a good squad player.
- Bebe: lol! He is cr** but i just like to keep reminding everybody what we bought for 7 million.
- Januzaj: twice as talented, better prospect.
- Daehli : see above.
-Barmby: exact same type of player, younger.

And last but not least welbeck, not much older, and can barely get a game. Why would we bring a player who is not as good and cut chances for our own youth?

if we were to bring someone to block the development of our youngsters, might as well buy someone worth it! ( muniain, isco, lucas ocampos and so on )

Mick

Agree3 Disagree0

Brady is just as good? When he was on loan at Hull he didn´t deliver anywhere near the performances of Ince. Brady has no future at United. He´ll be a good Premier League player but not more.

Cole and Lingard are different players and will probably end up in a more central position.

King is a striker and with the competition of young strikers like Welbeck and Hernandez there´s literally no chance for him. There are even more young strikers with Henriquez and Wilson who probably have a bigger chance than he does.

Januzaj and Daehli are 2 or 3 years away before regular first team football and they are similar to Cole and Lingard. Their future is probably in a more central position too.

And Barmby.... for me he is probably the most overrated player in the Academy. I can´t see him make it at United. He´s around Bradys level of potential and as Brady isn´t good enough......

Ince is a very good english talent. If we can get him for a low fee it would be great business for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Might well do if holloway leaves to go palace he wont be there to hike up the price or say hes not for sale!

You mean just turned 18? If you just looked at him on Wikipedia, that's wrong. Considering his bday is 27th October 1994. He does look like he could be something special.
