I think there may be some truth behind the big signing talk, if sir alex really wanted a player I think he would be backed, also there must have been something promised to wazza in that meeting before he signed his deal, i know it was also about getting him a good contract but I do belive big signings were talked about also!

This rumour has got a tad out of hand now, there is no £36 Million signing, especially not in January! the two people you guys have said are Hamsik and Kaka.
Well based on the logic of a few posts i've read in the past, Kaka knocked sir Alex before going to Madrid so Sir Alex wouldn't go for him.
And Hamsik? £36 Million for a player who's only been good the past 18 months, a player who isn't proven at a level like the premier League in terms of fitness, Pace and physicality.
The £36 Million signing is. . . .rubbish :|

I think you're right Ed.
Hmmm, Ganso and Pastore both seem to be incredible players, although I haven't seen enough of either of them to give a valued judgement. However. . .Ganso I think may have more potential, although given his cruciate injury, I would probably prefer Pastore for now.
I know this is all hypothetical, but I think we can only wish for either of these players to join.

Thats a hard 1 ed, pastore has been in europe a year or so now which I suppose is a bonus, only seen ganso on you tube but he looks awsome but could take a while to settle to our game, all in all I think ganso might be slightly cheaper but id say pastore is less of a risk but if you could get ganso for alot cheaper-say 20m, then id take a chance on him!

I would stop getting carried away with these alledged great midfield signings. SAF will not be spending big in January and I'm sure he has a multitude of irons in the fire for the summer, as is normally the case. I wouldn't expect any signings in January, but if there is, it will not be a big money one.

dear unnamed sir,
ngaiak does not know sir alex ferguson, mr gill or the glazers. nor does he know sir bobby charlton. these are probably the only guys who will know about transfers.
but if they do decide for a transfer, and negotiations start taking place, then ngiak has indirect friends who will know IF there is an activity. not the exact person bought.
as ngiak has mentioned yesterday, there is no activity at the moment, and certainly no activity in the scale of a buy over. that will take many months of negotiations and a long drawn process of financial red-tape.
so as of today at this time, no there is NO takeover and NO big buys. .
36 million, ha ha ha

Why are people ignoring the Ganso suggestion?
If he has recovered from his injury then that is the sort of price range, he is wanted by Real, AC Milan and co, is 6 foot tall and physically strong, one report indicated he could be a defensive midfield player but has all the skills. Utd have a relationship with Santos after the Possebon deal. This lad has it all and wanted by all , if he recovers from his injury. He is due for his next medical examination on 28th December but where is he now?

Not Essien. .or Rossi. . .is currently in Europe. .but not for long. . . think physical. .but talented. . able to hold the midfield as Keane used too! But with more talent at his disposal. . .more control on the ball and passing and is mentioned often on this site so there will be happy people posting soon. . I will also add this. .even though I'm United thru and thru I'm a huge admirer of Essien. . but this guy puts him to shame. . or should I say looks like Essien did when arrived at Chelsea but will at Utd grow into the finished article just as Essien did and then will put him to shame. . A raw talent people already comment on and a midfielder with too much physical presence for most fluffy European sides to cope with. . .enuf. . I need to run and hide!

The Danny rumour seems to be picking up a lot of pace! i know we were interested in him a couple of years ago and i think he's a good player, maybe he's the kid we're after in the summer?
ED, What do you think? It seems to be in every paper recently!
I personally think that he'll be alright, but while we're getting him the likes of Chelsea would be a buying a player miles better than him, are just settling for a poor mans Gerrard?
