Posted on twitter half hour ago

do u really still believe I asked for 30k I haven't ever asked for any money and I have never rejected anything. ravel morrison

SpartanRed {Ed007's Note - Do we REALLY need every bloody thing posted on Twatter put on here? Anyone who wants to follow it can, stalk away but please give the rest of us peace about it.}

Believable1 Unbelievable6

Understand your frustration Bond but in fairness words straight out of the mouth of the individual involved (even if contrived) has to be better than the lies printed by the papers everyday that get posted....as of everyone really wants to read the papers they can buy them too!! ;)

Enigma {Ed007's Note - Fair point mate I guess. It's just Twatter really does my nut in with all the fake BS and that kn*b Barton!!!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ravel says he has never asked for x amount or turned down an offer , fergy says his demands are unacceptable, whos telling the truth
jred

Agree0 Disagree0

Agh come on, Barton's hilarious on Twitter. I reckon Ravel will be signing soon or when his court order is over.

Percy {Ed007's Note - Barton is a fool. Disgusting human being.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the ED, every single post is about Ravel or twitter. Don't understand why people post up someone has written on twitter. Let's get back to the Rumours. Mind you there probably won't be anymore rumours until the summer, United aren't going to buy this window!

United Till I Die 1987

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Ed have to admit it helps me getting them posted as I dont want to get sucked into it myself so keeps me up to date on these type of things.
Woffsta

Agree0 Disagree0

Morrison may not have known about this. Sounds like greedy agent business to me

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, but his idiocy as well as arrogance often makes me chuckle.

Percy

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit of an over reaction there from the ed. as I don't use twitter I found this interesting. And it is a decent source, I.e straight from the horses mouth

This window it seems we are most likely to bring in Crystal Palace's duo of Nathaniel Clyne and Wilfried Zaha, and maybe Jack Rodwell/Barkley....... Edd what do you think?? {Ed007's Note - Please not Rodwell!!}

Believable14 Unbelievable1

Bond i'm surprised at you, all 4 would be good signings. {Ed007's Note - I honestly don't rate Rodwell that highly.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I Think the Crystal Palace duo would be good additions they seem to enjoy playing together, they seemed to have a pretty good understanding of each other when they played us. More importantly they both look like decent talent. Clyne would be relatively cheap as he's outta contract soon, could sell him on for more if one of the twins cements the spot. Good competition will only make them player better!

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally, I think we have enough cover at these positions already. Granted they are all good prospects (bar Rodwell), but dont we have very good prospects in these positions already?

Gar

Agree0 Disagree0

None of those are good enough! We have too many average players as things stand, why bring in even more? We need top quality players who will make a difference now!
Besides, we already have our own youth comming through. Its better to get some experienced players instead.

Millz

Agree0 Disagree0

We will not sign anyone this window
SC

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think we are or will be in for Zaha! Clyne yes. I would be surprised if we weren't atleast monitoring Barkley/Rodwell!

United Till I Die 1987

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope for Rodwells sake he never signs for us, the lad would be up against it from the start. Some fans seem to think they know better than the likes of Moyes, Ferguson, AVB, Redknapp(who all rate the lad and tip him for great things) and would be on his back and expect wonders from him. The lads still young, tallented and could do a job all over the pitch for us. Id be more than happy if he arrived. For his sake i hope he goes elsewhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do people keep going on about rodwell, he isn't better than anyone we've already got or as good as , top quality players not average players we need

What happened to the rumours.... Instead of focusing on pogba and Morrison.
Wolvesinsider

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Are you suggesting this is a diversion plot by the club? To not buy a player, but get Welbeck, Ravel and Pogba all signed up to keep the fans happy? A bit cynical isn't it ;)

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps were all resigned to the fact that there will be no major signing this window?

Shame!

Gav

Agree0 Disagree0

Yours is a good point syd!! But tbh I don't think that keeping someone with an attitude like Morrison lies that highly on Sir Alex's wish list.
I'm an out and out wolves supporter guys with good contacts in the molineux but I do love to watch united!! I just hope that the kids don't spoil the fun for you fans.
But If I'm honest.... My main point was that you should all get over it. I don't mean that harshly but nobody is bigger than Manchester united and if kids with little experience already think they are then let them think that and go ply there trade ales where. At best Morrison will be another mario ballatelli and in fairness inter let him go for what some would call a modest twenty million!!

SAF will not let you down. But there's gotta be more activity than morrisons strops! Surely Syd?!?!?!?
Wolvesinsider

Agree0 Disagree0

Morrison isn't stroppy, he has failed to turn up to training on a couple of occasions, but he was injured (no excuse I know), but I guess he feels there's no point in training whilst carrying an injury? All we know is that SAF has said what Ravel wants is unrealistic, no money has been mentioned and Ravel has made it clear via Twitter that he has not turned down any other and that he has not demanded any cash. I am confident that it will all be sorted out within the month, it is getting a little tedious now so lets hope so ;)

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't say fairer than that syd!!

Just reported on sky sports that utd more than likely to accept a half million pound bid from Roma for Morrison

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Fergie very abrupt when asked about it - refused to comment - looks like Ravel (or his agents moe likely) bluffs been called and if he doesn't get some wise counsel soon then a promising career could disappear into obscurity and mediocrity

Agree0 Disagree0

If he goes he is a bottler - running away to play for a mid table club in a league in decline instead of staying and fighting for his place and possibly standing alongside the likes of Neville, Scholes and Giggs as a United legend.....he is using money as a excuse - he knows when he looks around him in the changing room that if can do the job he will have wealth beyond what most ppl dream of. I dont reckon he has the heart (or balls) to stay and fight.

IrishRed

Agree0 Disagree0

All i say is what ever fergie decides to do, will turn out to be the right thing. Look at Tevez, imagine if he hadn't sold him, we wud have been under pressure like man city. Fergie rocks!!

Agree0 Disagree0

@noname

we didn't sell Tevez, he left for free.

He also went on to be a crucial player in City's rise to power.....a bad move letting him go IMO (specially considering we kept Berba over him)

TomBomb

Agree0 Disagree0

Tom Bomb

Would that be the same Berbatov who was our top scorer last season, without which we wouldn't have usurped the scousers by securing number 19?

Just asking like.....

Red Rob

Agree0 Disagree0

Tom B0omb we still would have had thse issues with Tevez though, would you have wanted him here sulking and throwing the toys out with all this homesickness rubbish? Disrupting the dressing room?

Agree0 Disagree0

Read his twitter people. He will not go just media making a deal of nothing. He also stated about two weeks ago that it was either utd or barca that he supports. I actually miss sneijder rumours haha this is becoming boring

Neil

Agree0 Disagree0

When asked if he wore a City shirt he said he would never wear any other shirt than a Barca or United shirt.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

The interest from Roma is true! Can't see us selling to a PL side so Italy is a possible move. Imagine Ravel is stab central sorry Italy, the lad will be worse of in Iraly (criminally speaking)

It appears that a lot of players that aren't quite good enough have and are being got rid of. In addition to these, Diouf could go to Hannover and then PIG may well be out this window too. Could this point to new signings? I have read that Nathaniel Clyne could well be on his way this window. Perhaps we may get someone else too.

Rudderpost

Believable11 Unbelievable5

PIG??

Agree0 Disagree0

Who is 'PIG'? Some fans need to learn to respect the players wearing the united shirt!

Millz

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to get rid of the deadwood not only to get their wages off the bill but it also means the youngsters are more likely to get the chance. Hopefully De Laet, Diouf and Kuszczak leave this month which frees up more wages for a new signing or the contracts of others at the club.

On the subject of Nathaniel Clyne I for one would be disappointed if he signed and is the only one signed. Not because he isn't a good prospect for the full back position, I actually think he could be very good but it's not the kind of signing the fans want. Even though we all know the s**t some of the papers talk, it goes on for months and as the months go on it is difficult no to take notice and be drawn in a bit by rumours of a big name coming in. Just hope for once they come to something and we perhaps sign someone who isn't labelled as potentially very good but someone who is currently going to make a difference.

Rjmanutd

Agree0 Disagree0

@Rudderpost
What is PIG.?

Agree0 Disagree0

Is Diouf to Hannover aloan or a perm? And if its a perm how much?

Agree0 Disagree0

United could get Clyne (if interested) for around £1m. He will leave for free in the summer and Crystal Palace will not want that. They already have a replacement in Ramage. I think if we are interested we may get him for a nominal fee in the next two weeks or for free in the summer.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone else getting the feeling that we're gonna shift all this deadwood and have the impression that we're freeing up wages and/or space in the squad for the young 'uns.....only for Morrison and perhaps Pogba to leave, leaving us fans wondering what the hell is going on?

RED_SKY

Agree0 Disagree0

Kuszczak is a very had name to remember to spell so most fans call him Tommy K, Kitkat or PIG (Pole In Goal) its not disrespectgul just an awkward name.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha did someone say we should respect the players? Do we really think that the majority of them hold the tiniest bit for us lot when they are sat in their mansions? Let's not kid ourselves.

Ed - just wondering if you knew of any reason that Pogba and Morrison have never been sent out on loan (I stand corrected if they have) like Cleverly, Wellbeck & Beckham amongst others were? I think in hindsight it could have been beneficial to show them that the grass is not always greener...maybe its not too late if its first team football they are both after?

IrishRed {Ed002's Note - Given their ages the only chance they wopuld have had is this past summer. I have no idea if it were considered or not.}

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Fergie stated a few months ago he wanted pogba to become comfortable at manchester after moving here at such a young age. i guess he wants him to feel welcome and at home at manchester united which would affect any decision to move away in the future in uniteds favour

Hey Ed, any news on why we haven't offloaded Kuszczac?

YankSAW {Ed002's Note - Nope.}

Believable1 Unbelievable5

No one wants him or his wages is probably the reason. He hasnt played enough to entice clubs to be after him

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm quite surprised a championship side hasn't snapped him up actually, let's be fair, he ain't a bad keeper.

APC

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to disagree APC I think he is a bad keeper. Has plenty of mistakes in him, and isnt gifted enough in other departments to make up for it

Do you remember the last few games he played for us at the end of last season? He was like a donkey tbf. Not the best example of being shown off in the 'shop window'

This is probably why we havent been able to shift just yet imo

Gav

Agree0 Disagree0

No one has come in for him, saf mentioned it at last weeks press conference! he was surprised no one has been in for him yet

Glad to see some of the deadwood getting cleared out. I think even Park and Berbatov will be gone come the summer. We should probably even add Anderson on the "for sale" list come the summer imo. He has had his chances and hasn't convinced, and if there are to be any squad players, they should come from the youth system rather than bought.

The issue with Pogba, Morrison and supposedly Wellbeck as well is very sensitive. I personally believe United can reach a settlement between what they are asking for and what we are currently offered, especially with Wellbeck. We have never been the biggest payers in Europe, that has always been the case. But if anybody deserves a pay rise its Wellbeck, guy works his socks off every game, links up so well with all the players and having watched him progress through the ranks at the academy, i would hate it if we lose the best striker we have produced from the academy for quite a long time, over a 10-15k difference in negotiations.

Its different with Pogba, he hasn't proved himself yet and i think what he is being offered right now is fair, possibly additional performance related bonuses could do the trick. I believe he either needs to get regular substitute appearances or a premier league or maybe even a championship loan would do him a world of good, just like it happened with Cleverley.

Morrison, i don't think he is any sort of position to demand a better deal than what he is being offered. After all SAF, the whole United staff and the club in general have done for him, i think he owes us one. He should be training hard and trying to change his life around. If SAF feels he can't do that and is a problem, then let go of him, because i don't think he will develop at any other club with the kind of attitude he has. Barcelona? Learning spanish? The boy can't get the hang of English properly after all these years for god sake!

I can't help but think that all this contract madness is the effect of giving into Wayne Rooney's demands, but then again we should have had his contract done and dusted behind closed doors.

With all this turmoil about the contracts, one particular youth player and my personal favourite Ryan Tunnicliffe is quietly going about his business on loan, has got his head down and working hard. Where Morrison lacks in work ethic, Tunnicliffe makes up for it. If his development is carefully done, with maybe a premier league loan next season, or even being integrated with the first team now that we have cleared out a lot of space in the squad, he could develop into a very good midfield option with the kind of steel, leadership and drive we have been crying out for.

On a final note, i am astonished by the amount of fans who think it won't be a bad idea to sell Nani! Yes he is a bit inconsistent, but the options that are being talked about to replace him, are they even as consistent as he is? I don't think so for one minute.

REDFAITH

Believable19 Unbelievable7

Correct, do not sell Nani.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great post,well said,nice intelligent,sensible post!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will agree deals with all three of the youngsters. What they want and what we have offered is not worlds apart. It will save the Glazers a fortune in future buys and SAF knows he could use the cash he does get in other areas of the squad, so I think a common ground will be met eventually. Perhaps they will announce them all together. Wouldn't be bad to read Paul Pogba, Ravel Morrison & Danny Welbeck have all agreed contract extensions on the yellow infobar on SSN.

I think people who want Nani sold are mental. He is better than all of the other players we have been linked too. He can go missing on occasions, but he is also a match winner for us and has proved that on several occasions. We shouldn't have to sell our best players to bring new players in, why not keep Nani and bring in another player? Players like Park & Anderson should be the one's who are offloaded for squad space, not our best players like Nani.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

If someone came in and offered £30-£40million for Nani we would sell him......

Agree0 Disagree0

Great post - agree with Sydney's ! point about Nani - but think Anderson should / will stay - needs to be played in the right position (more attacking) but Cleverly and Anderson for example was pretty dam good.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Anderson should be given til the summer, but the point I am making is why get rid of our best players when we can keep them and bring in more good players? Makes no sense to me why anyone would want to sell our best players? Even if they wanted Hazard or Bale instead, surely having Nani in the squad as well as Bale or Hazard is better than just Bale or Hazard?

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Best post I have ever read on here. I agree totally with the comments re: Nani. He, along with Valencia and Young, are a frightening combination.

The club should do whatever it can to keep Welbeck, Morrison and Pogba. As someone also mentioned, these should be our back up players who are getting ready to take over. We have always done this at United. We always bring in youth. If we didn't give our youth players chances, then I am sure a lot of supporters would be very disappointed.

Let other clubs spend huge amounts on, albeit good, players, but where is the fun in that. I don't mean we should not strengthen the team with quality players from outside the club as and when they become available, as that would just be stupid.

We have always bought big in the past, our history shows that, but it also shows players who have come through the ranks and players whom have come to the club as relative unknowns and become legends.

When people start to moan about who we haven't signed, I think they need to look a bit more closely at The Wizard that is SAF, and say I trust him. I do, and hopefully a couple of silly boys will stop messing around and take a look at the likes of Giggs and Scholes. Then go to the museum for an hour. Take a good look around. Then ask yourself this? Why would I want to walk away from this??

Red Pedro - Still in dreamland. 19 is the new black!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed Syd, It would have to be a massive offer to dell nani and exactly who do we replace him with? Mort

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi all,
Btw great post dude.
Syd I'm with you here, selling Nani would be nothing short of insane IMO. £40 million someone thinks we would sell? I think not. Not when the only players you might replace with with you would pay near enough that for anyway.
Anderson I agree should be sold.
WE NEED A CM THOUGH, A DECENT ONE!
Paulio

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with everything and dont sell Nani. Him and Rooney are our 2 matchwinners and dont tell me Rooney has been majorly consistent. Dont sell either and buy in. Anderson had his chances but also appears to be a crock so sell him while we still can I say!
Woffsta

Agree0 Disagree0

Afree about Nani. Frustrating at times but without doubt the best wing man in the league.
What's with all the Ando bashing? Him and Cleverly were a breath of fresh air at the start of the season. Both have suffered bad injuries, Ando himself is just coming back from serious knee injury. When him and Clevs are fit and playing, i think we'll see a massive difference in out performances. Anderson will prove to be an influential player for us, when he is playing with the right people and playing in the right postion, namely NOT a DM. The kid was born to attack but has been shackled so badly in the way he is deployed. He's an AM not a DM/CM, and should be played accordingly. In my opinion anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course we should keep Nani who else apart from Rooney can turn a game on it's head for us? Even if he doesnt manage that every game

Im not sure about Anderson, I'll be glad to see him given (another) chance between now and the summer but if he doesnt impress he should go. I understand what ppl mean when they say he should be played in AM as he seems more comfortable there but tbh he miss passes too often and isnt exactly prolific in front of goal! So would he add enough to the team effort in that position? We shall see...

Anyways great original post!
You actually made me optomistic again about our future having felt depressed for weeks with all the negative press and all

Thanks
