is there any chance of us putting a sneaky bid for parker

Believable7 Unbelievable33

Now please stop these Parker rumours. We may clash with Barca, Real Madrid, Inter, Milan in CL. How would Parker fare against these teams?

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of Parker but he won Player of the year and represented his country then surely he cant be that bad. If we fail to strengthen our midfield maybe a season long loan wouldn't be too bad option for all parties.

Agree0 Disagree0

He represented England these days i could do that if i really wanted to

Man Utd are apparently interested in Christian Eriksen of Ajax. Any of the Eds heard anything?

ShakeyJake

Believable24 Unbelievable19

Think this rumour should have read as follows:-

"Man Utd (along with every other club in the world probably) are apparently interested in Christian Eriksen of Ajax. Any of the Eds heard anything?

ShakeyJake"

Robbo

Agree0 Disagree0

Trust me, there is no change that Christian Eriksen is going to move away from Ajax this year

- maybe next year.

Dutch guy on talksport

Question: Is it true Wesley Sneijder has his heart set on a move to Man Utd?

Answer: Absolutely, absolutely.

Believable33 Unbelievable24

Well spank my ass and call me shirley....if the "dutch guy" said it then Im off to get my Sneijder shirt printed ;)

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm gonna get a shirt with dutch guy printed on the back if this is true Jroc

Agree0 Disagree0

Im going to get a shirt with "The dutch guy says Yes, screw you Delmonte"

Agree0 Disagree0

He has NOT got his heart set on a move he WANTS to stay at Inter. He said so himself. He said IF he leaves its because the club WANT him to not because he wants to. Get your heads out the clouds

Agree0 Disagree0

That was a classic I do believe he wants to come though. Half a season of benitez will put anyone off a club Of course he is not going to say he wants to leave Inter. if he stays the fans would love that

Just heard from a fella that believes he is 'In the know' I have talked about him before and I am still pessimistic, but he hasn't been wrong yet. He says that United and Inter talks have stopped not because of fee or salary issues, but simply because Inter want a replacement brought in before they let Sneijder go. He has confirmed that Inter are looking at Gago & Pastore.

So if he is correct this could go the distance as Pastore will go the distance.

Sydney!

Believable6 Unbelievable12

In my opinion its totally plausible, I don't beleive that talks have 'broken down', I believe Inter have just said "Look, we'll discuss a deal when we find a replacement."

Agree0 Disagree0

Gago?..was he serious? i tht inter were after Banega
DJ

Agree0 Disagree0

I still think Wes will happen it's just going to take all summer to happen.
Think you could be right Syd we are waiting on Inter.

Red Daz.

Agree0 Disagree0

As I posted the other day a journo from Italy was on talksport saying the longer the sneijder saga went on the cheaper Utd would get him..... To the tune of 10mil possibly

Show us the money Inter tell Man United to make their move over £35m target Sneijder...

Believable37 Unbelievable12

Manchester United are set to launch an amazing £32m bid for the former ballon d or winner Kaka from Real Madrid. In what looks likely to become Sir Alex s biggest summer spending spree in his 24 years in charge. Manchester United's transfer policy is not usually to sign a player of kaka s age(29) but ferguson has been a long term admirer of the Real Madrid playmaker. After what has been a nightmare spell at the bernabue it is a deal that kaka would relish and If anyone could nurse Kaka back to form it would be Sir Alex

Believable22 Unbelievable83

Bull s**t kakas injury prone and out of form maybe past it and hes on massive wages and would take to long to settle into the EPL

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, £32 million bid for a 29 year old who he needs to nurse.... Fergies not senile yet. Although better still kept spreading it and maybe Man sh*tty will try and hijack it and go him :)

Agree0 Disagree0

As good a rumour as any on this site. Not happening though.

If he ever was to join United it would be on Loan.

Gaz

Agree0 Disagree0

Kaka is worth £5m-£10 if that. He is nearing 30 is injured most of the time and when not is a shadow of the wonderful player he once was.
Mik

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody will take a chance with kaka for silly money, but for a smallish fee would be worth a gamble, unless madrid see sense on his value there stuck with him on silly wages and hardly any playing time

Agree0 Disagree0

Think it would def be worth a bid of around 20m?

Agree0 Disagree0

Utd work on policy of 27 or under for most major transfers, u wont get fergie payin that much even if he was fully fit, its 2 years then dead money

Agree0 Disagree0

Kaka has a CHRONIC knee problem
Real would struggle to get bags of money for him under these circumstances.

i understand we are the unnamed club with 45mil euros bid for pastore.chelsea cannot play modric lampard pastore essien n ramires together with torres.reports from italy suggest that its either us or inter as wesley u know who's replacement.ac milan are interested in ganso n montolivo so its definately not them.all other interested parties viz madrid n barca are looking elsewhere due price.hence leaves very few parties with money need n interest
also with nasri city bound i would strike them out
seen this lad play in copa america he surely has what it takes to cut it at any club or league in the world
i guess this about sums up the PASTORE SAGA till date
hope we are in for him
would like replys
UNITED ABHISHEK {Ed002's Note - You may wish to read my reply to Syd a little earlier.}

Believable11 Unbelievable25

The thing is SAF said sneijder deal wont happen, and i'm guessing it's due to a lack of money so why would we pay even more for someone who hasn't proved himself yet..

i think he would be a great buy though, better than hamsik anyhow

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this rumour definately has legs....

pastore could walk into any side in the world and at his age would definately make sense.....

with all this recent talk of monies being made available from quatari funds / possible talk of a takeover and the fact the we have already spent in excess of 50 million definately gets you thinking.......

Robbo

Agree0 Disagree0

It could still be Chelsea as Essien is ruled out for most of the season and they will want someone to fill his place

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope its true, for me Pastore is the missing link like Cantona was all those years ago all be it a tad more expensive than Cantona was.

Invisible Stuey

Agree0 Disagree0

SAF would not pay 45M Euros or about £40m on Pastore. For that money we could try and get Ganso, who is only just 21 and has a much bigger future IMO and still have nearly enough money left for M'vila.
Mik

Agree0 Disagree0

Pastore is only 22.if someone thinks he does not have the united factor then check out copa matches.i dunno about his passing but he has inherited scholesy tackling n shooting boots
UNITED ABHISHEK

Agree0 Disagree0

Scholesy tackling? And that's meant to be a good thing? Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Scholes tackling..... HAHA..... Brilliant, my favourite ever player but tackling.... come on. :-).... HERBIE

all quiet on here at the moment...

People on holiday or have we all realised that are summer spending is over? I've heard that we are now cooling off signing anyone. We had 3 targets and all have not come off, so now they are thinking they will do with what they have.

I personally think we desperately need a creative midfielder. We want to match Barca, but we're not mending the area that's required to do this.

Jones is a Centre defender, so anyone else claiming he's a midfielder is deluding themselves that he is the answer...He's not.

I've also been told that United will not sign Ganso (unproven and a risk) Pastore (too much of a risk) or Rodwell (too much and not fulfilling potential just yet)

So, i think Cleverly has a big chance to shine along with Anderson. Transition year for us, but short term pain for long term gain

Believable42 Unbelievable11

Agree regarding midfield.... but must add that Anderson is just not good enough... i hear people say differently ...but that guy is big lazy Brazilian that cannot get box-box and is nowhere near scholes...if he was good enough he would have pld in euro final...midfield does need addressing and maybe two addtions...Schneider too expensive for 27... maybe Nasri with possible Schweinsteiger...long term then we look at Pogba/Tunnicliffe/Morrison... another point ...i would have Will keane ahead of Wellbeck {Ed007's Note - You do know that Schweinsteiger turns 27 on 1st of August? Him and Sneijder are the same age.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree to an extent. Anderson has shown that he has the ability, but has failed to be consistent throughout the season. A full season will decide his future. I am more concerned about the wellfare of Darren Fletcher, leaving us with Carrick who takes 6 months to warm up.

Schweinsteiger will not be joining. He's signed a new contract recently, so we can forget him and Nasri is off to City.

I see the dilemma. There's not much out there, so why not give youth a chance..

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no question about us having strong defensive, GK, winger and striking options, but our CMF is worse than the other top 6 in EPL with exception of Arsenal if they lose their big 2. We have great youth to come through around 2014-15. However Carrick is just OK, Fletcher when fit is a real worker of the Nicky Butt sort, but not top class. Anderson is as good as it gets but though capable of being very good, can also be poor and inconsistent. Jones could do a job as DMF but we desperately need at least one creative midfielder, They are out there-Ganso-Hamsik-Erikson-or go cheaper and go for Honda.
Mik

Agree0 Disagree0

Mik,

Do you seriously see Honda, Erikson or Hamsik being that great for United? Better than Cleverly? They would be just as big a gamble as he is. I completely agree that we need a creative Midfielder, but we need someone proven and experienced. Scholes is impossible to replace, but some 90% there would be great. Only Sneijder and Modric would fit that.

Ed002 - I was told that Inter Milan was the club that bid £45m for Pastore yesterday. Does this mean Sneijder is nearly sold? It certainly means he is close to signing for someone doesn't it?

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - The offer that have been made for Pastore include Chelsea as we know, Juventus including a bunch of surplus players, Roma offering part ownership, Manchester City which was rejected and both Milanese clubs (but they have non-EU player quota issues). Both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have made serious enquiries but neither will have the cash for a deal so will be looking at horse trading. I don't know that Sneijder is near to being sold and I am certainly not convinced that Inter have made a new offer of £45M. As you are aware, I suspect that the Pastore transfer will drag on a while longer. The 45M euro (not £45M) offer being referred to is the offer previously made by Cheslea and Zamparini has spoken with Chelsea recently and invided them to make a further bid.}

Believable4 Unbelievable10

If we are going to buy a CM and have the money to spend i would rather spend it on a youngster. Pastore (i have not seen any of, only what i read).

Am still convinced we will buy a CM, we need one but we dont know really what fergie really thinks of his youngsters.

Juventus Launch £7m Bid for Berbatov....

Believable14 Unbelievable36

Am I right in saying he has only a year left on his contract?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just like Juve at £12m put back for Modric, just like they were willing to pay £15m for Nani. They are fantasists. United have already turned down a verbal bid for Berbatov in the region of £12m.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

He has but United can trigger an extra year if they want. It was built into the contract.
He'll go if hes not happy playing third fiddle, SAF has alreday give him an out with his comments this week so i wouldnt be surprised to see him go

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a bad way to loose 30 mill player...we must be rolling in money to let him walk for free

Agree0 Disagree0

If he were to go I suspect we'd want at least 15 million. Should be attainable as there seems to be a few clubs interested. Would be good to keep the strength in depth striking options though.
