Apparently we have inquired about Sterling? Don't get it. if he goes to any of the heavy hitters in the league lfc certainly would't allow it to be Mufc. But then again surely United aren't just trolling,we are above that. Has his agent intimated that he would like the move if it was possible?

Maybe Liverpool are using United here to show defiance to their fans. We won't sell to United, making a sale to Arsenal/City more acceptable.

Well Ed1 has confirmed there was an enquiry. The way I see it is Sterling holds all the cards, if he decides he wants to go to X club his agent could tell X club and they in turn tell Liverpool either you sell him to us now or next year he buys out his contract (Not as basic as it sounds, search Webster ruling for more info) and comes to us with you getting little to no compensation. This is all very simplified of course but it puts Liverpool in a tough situation where Sterling can within reason call the shots and force a transfer to any club that offers Liverpool a reasonable sum for the lad.

My personal opinion however is that there is more chance of Anderson getting fit than there is that Sterling plays for MUFC next year.

An enquiry in private that became public somehow. Liverpool are playing games IMO and have every intention of selling - as they did with Suarez - knowing that the player wants out. It's about timing and price and placating their angry fans (and pundits!!)

I'd be gutted to pay over £40 million for Sterling. I don't usually care how much a player costs as long as he is the right one but Sterling is quite simply not worth anything over £20 million. Yes he has some tricks, and yes he is young but he still has such a long way to go - especially his finishing.

So pleased we have Memphis instead.

A couple of reports that we have possibly reached an agreement with Otamendi but still to reach agreement with Valencia. I think if there is any truth in this then we will also move for Garay (will be a rcb and an lcb). When Rojo plays it will mean besides Zabaleta we will have 3 of the starting 11 of the Argentina national team, not too shabby.

Michael Zorc announces Hummels has decided to stay at Dortmund. Press move straight on to Otamendi, amazing how unashamed the British Press are.

Has he said he'll stay or is it just him saying that he has held talks with the player and his agent about the future and it went well?

Hummels is happy to see out his contract if Dortmund don't want to sell him.

I feel for you Ed, he really is crap. How he has lasted this long at United is astonishing. He'll fit right in at Everton though ;-)

{Ed025's Note - thanks for that brendan..he is one of the worst i have seen mate, but still ahead of rojo, mcnair and jones.. :)

That took forever to come through :-)

Jones has gone backwards hugely, McNair is only a kid so a bit unfair, Rojo will be a good squad player for us. I quite like Everton though, so I hope Sunderland stay up and buy him like they do most of our not good enough defenders :-)

{Ed025's Note - so do i brendan.. :)
