Manchester United Rumours
Manchester United may be after Javier Pastore. Although unlikely as he would be expensive. Also as you probably know we are definately after David de Gea. This is very likely as de Gea wants to go to Manchester United and idolises Van der Sar

I don't usually do rumours and I really don't know how accurate it is but on Friday I heard from someone abroad that the Glazers are looking to dilute their ownership but not a full sale just yet. It likely means someone or a corporation investing. There are few places the Glazers can get new loans for over £200m without any publicity without bringing in shall we say a rich investor.

"""Manchester United Rumours
Defour, Sanchez, De Gea, Lindegaard ?
ngiak, rainfishtrombone or anyone. . can you confirm these players are our targets? please"""
good day sir
other than the almost concluded lindegaard, nothing else is confirmed. man united have actually launched a bid for defour. as for the reply, ngiak has no idea yet.
the other 2, well, as of now its just newspaper speculation, ngiak thinks. especially sanchez, where NO official bid has been made so far.
the only way to be certain is to be good friends with the man united phone lines and fax.
well, its fun though to have that little bit of uncertainty and to see how a small rumour can spread like wildfire and be an "almost certainty".
what ngiak has heard that there are quite a few good players on their last year of their contract etc one of whom are really interesting the club. . again, just hearsay. .

{Editor's note - And who might that person who has beeen interesting Man Utd and only has a season left in his contract?}

Manchester United Rumours
Manchester United targets are David de Gea from Atletico Madrid for around £20 million, and possibly even Javier Pastore from Italians Palermo for £27 million.

@The most De Gea can cost is £16.7m (‚Ǩ20m), that is his buy-out clause.

Pastore has a buy-out clause of ‚Ǩ70m (£60m), Real Madrid have already offered ‚Ǩ30m which was instantly rejected, he will cost a team close to £40m, he is way out of our price range, a similar player, who i actually prefer is Ganso, Santos have already turned down a £12m bid from Lyon, i believe £20m would be too much for them to refuse seems he is desperate to leave Brazil.

I know there has been negotiations between Santos and United but they were nowhere near close to agreeing a deal, its not just the price, Santos truly want to keep him, he has a ‚Ǩ50m buy-out clause (£43m) so they are in a good position. I believe United offered in the region of £15m for him. Its hard to know anything for sure because United's deals are always kept extremely secretive. I cannot be certain on the price offered but i can be 90% sure that United have been talking to Santos.

Fingers crossed!

Sydney!

Very exciting news indeed!
ngiak knows that there is NO selling of shares
and he knows that there is NO selling of ownership.
there are ongoing negotiations for sponsorships (and there seems to be a leak of information before things are signed)
by the way, man united are in the process of negotiating a few sponsorship deals at any given point of time. its almost like routine work in the glazers regime, and the only thing good that has come out of their time here.
this is an ongoing process and the type of sponsorship, who is sponsoring and how much are just pure speculation.
as for the playing staff. . there will be signings this january. as we all know officially there is the danish goalkeeper. there may be another one or 2. however, a slight damper. there will NOT be a huge nett spend (this is also part of the glazers policy).
what this means, according to ngiak is that there will be players moving on. as for the specifics, again, things are still on the negotiaton table and nothing has been finalised yet. again, anything mentioned is pure speculation. was there some article saying gibson is leaving?
well, ngiak may sound a little non committal. but this is the "truth" on the surface. the bigwigs (glazers, sir alex and gill maybe mr charlton) are holding the cards close to their chests. no one else knows the plans as yet. and they will not leak them. they are very closely knit. .other than subtle hints one way or other that sometimes sir alex or gill give, while playing the "media game", ttaly confusing them and everyone else (we are signing players, says one and we are not says another).
as a side note, ngiak also knows that what sir alex mentioned this week was true. the glazers do not interfere. they set some very general "rules" example, try to break even on players in/outs and their long term plans etc but the true "decision makers" on transfers, day to day stuff etc are still sir alex and gill.
ngiak feels that maybe its a good way to work, but mr rainfish may have other ideas.
hope this little bit of info helps.
gan
ps. . mr rainfishtrombone, your attitude recently has been refreshing. more people are coming out of the closet and there seems to be an infectious air of optimism. well, time will tell, as what ngiak always says. .looks like ngiak has served his purpose here, maybe its time to move on.

Do you think De Gea will come or is lindegaard no 1?

Your thoughts on Welbeck n Diouf?

Red Rebel

~Fergie wants De Gea, you have to look at the evidence, Fergie went to watch him during a United match! Guillem Balague has confirmed United have inquired. The club saying there has been no contact between United and them is completely false, United have been making offers for him since the beginning of last season. I believe the last two offers were 9m & 12m more recently, both offers ignored. And we know that two keepers are leaving United so two keepers will have to be brought in.

Welbeck is top quality, loads of energy, good pace and is an all rounder in attack. At just 19 he has time to become a very decent impact player for United, probably be a squad player but will be a United player for a few more years yet.

Diouf is a good player, hes strong, fast and he is always in the right place at the right time. I am not sure he will make it at United but i expect him to be given the chance before he is sold. We only paid 2.25m for him so we should treble that even if he doesn't succeed at United. He is also on a very low wage, i believe its around 15k a week so players like this are basically free players because of his resale value, United could afford to keep him out on loan forever? Blackburn or whoever will be paying his wages so he could be a united player til hes 25 then sold on if he has not made an impact.

I am hoping the penny has finally dropped with Macheda, he bagged a brace for Italy U21s mid-week, he got the goal at Villa, i think he may get the nod tomorrow ahead of Rooney on the bench. He can score goals with ease but i think he gets too nervous. Watch out for Bebe, i think Bebe will get a game tomorrow?

Though i have seen De gea play and he looks impressive it worries me slightly that he comes with very little experience with only 30 lge appearences for atletico. V good young talent but i would have to go with Neuer and cud end up being cheaper if Shalke continue to languish in relegation zone. As for midfield i think Defour is a must. I would also lik to see Sanchez and Rodwell. Carrick and unfortunately andos time is up n Gibson may have to be moved on aswel. Up front we look ok once Roo stays n finds his form. Sell Owen n put Macheda on loan. I would keep both Welbeck n Diouf give both a chance nxt season. Finally at the back thank god neville finally retiring n Brown can follow him. Johno n rafa can fite for rb n fabio can cover aswel if needed. If Evra was to go the only replacement id want is Coentrao. Your thoughts ed?

Red Rebel
{Editor's note - I agree with the replacement for Evra. Don't know how you would say Ando's time is up and Gibsons isn't as Anderson is the better player. Brown is still a good player. I would prefer De Gea}

~Brown has been at United since he was 10, he loves this club, he is loyal and he is happy to sit on the bench, players like that are gold dust. How you can say Ando's time is up is beyond me, the guy has been suffering with flu for a couple weeks now. Lets not forget he is only one year older than Cleverley & Obertan.

De Gea is a quality player, hes world class at 20. Gibson must be sent on his way, he has a world class strike, he is a world class free-kick taker but his outfield play when the ball is rolling is not United class. he needs to be loaned out and if he does not improve we must sell him.

Coentrao is a good player but he would cost a few bob.

If you read correctly, i did say gibson may have to go aswel. anderson frustrates me so much. has the obvious talent but dosn show it nearly enough. As for Brown he may have been there forever but is hopelss at cb n his performance last week was appalling. How Johno is left on the bench is a complete mystery to me.
