Murmurings of Klopp or Van Gaal possibly coming in the summer if we don't make the CL. It wouldn't surprise me if CL was a minimum requirement in the job. I would take either over Moyes especially Klopp even though Van Gaal has a better cv and is a CL winner and has vast experience of the Ajax system which is Barcas pattern of okay also.

Barca system comes from cruyff, van gaal and him do not see eye to eye on system, although would be an improvement

Agree0 Disagree1

Thanks for the history lesson Eric but I didn't say that van Gaal invented Barcas way of playing I said he has experience of it . Barcas current style of play comes from Rinus Michels old Ajax team and the Ajax system of diagonal play generally in a fluid 433. Michels was cruyffs manager at Ajax when cruyff was playing for the Ajax team. Rinus Michels style of play was then taken by cruyff when he became a manager.

No name, I'm not sure of any football managers job where results are irrelevant. Results will come into it.

Agree0 Disagree0

No name, Rooney was hardly going to sign without getting a pay-rise was he? And you are right, Moyes is going nowhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is several reasons why the deal went public.

A) To show the footballing world United is a force still.

B) Entice other world class players to come.

C) To get their share prices up.

D) Make other clubs/players jealous of the sheer wealth of the club.

E) To help distract from all the negativity and stories of players leaving.

Etc etc

So, all the right reasons then. no name? ;)

Agree1 Disagree0

If anyone can be called the Father of Ajax and Barcelona then it is Vic Buckingham.

Agree0 Disagree1

Yes ok Mort if you really are going to blow the dust off the books then it could be possibly attributed to him.

Agree1 Disagree1

I would hardly think they would release them for a negative reason Andrew. Yes there could be side effects from it but I really doubt that is their intention ATM.

Btw I think I need to change my name as the post from the guy that left no name has been removed encase people think it was me hehe

don't believe that will happen, then again I didn't think rooney would get 300,000 grand a week, what a waste of money.

if ed 002 is around!
how genuine is united's interest in william carvalho, with reports saying we have watched him 12 times this season. do u see united making a move for him? is there any other team interested?

Believable4 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - In the past 9 months Saint Etienne, Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter and Arsenal have all shown an interest in Carvalho but the suggested price is well beyond what most would want to pay. Manchester United's interest is still there but they may well seek to negotiate.}

Ed002, do you think they could offer a player in the deal? Thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No idea.}
