Hi Guys

The Manchester Evening News is reporting that David De Gea has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid.It states that although United have been discussing a new contract with him for weeks no offer has yet been made.It suggests that David will join them in the summer.All this but no fee has been agreed between the 2 clubs.
I do not know how reliable this is and I personally hope it doesn't happen.Real can keep Bale and I want us to keep David.

Well it wouldn't be the first time real Madrid have done this, really wouldn't be surprised if this is true tbh.

The gu/press are always reporting that personal terms have been agreed with players who are not currently available for transfer - which is not to say it isn't true.

would anyone see a deal involving De Gea and Bale swapping clubs as a good move for United having now signed Valdes?

Hi Ed, any truth in us looking to resign Pique?

Believable4 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - I am not so sure that Barcelona will be looking to sell anyone right now.}

21 Jan 2015 20:19:02
I thought Barcelona had a transfer ban. Does that mean they can't sell as well as buy?

With Chelsea being strongly linked with Cuadrado have we shown any interest, or is there a chance of snatching from the clutches of jose by matching his buyout clause?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona were looking to replace Dani Alves with Cuadrado but due to the delay in the sale of Alves lost out to Fiorentina in the summer who finalised the purchase of the rights held by Udinese. That gave them full control over the future of the player but efforts to get an auction between Monaco, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona failed. Manchester United would certainly like Cuadrado, but it would have to be "at the right price". He remains of interest to Chelsea and they have scheduled talks with his agent, but they too will want to avoid an auction and the price they have in mind is far from that being asked by Fiorentina. He has not been playing particularly well and Fiorentina would likely consider a January sale if they can sign a replacement - and if they can get a decent price.}

Thanks for your quick response! Very insightful

According to sky, chelsea have opened talks to sign juan cuadrado. That's not good news for us. If we want to sign him we better bid for him soon. Do you see this happening Ed002?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Discussions between Cuadrado's agent and Chelsea are scheduled. There remains an issue on price.}

Hello ed 2.
Pls shade some light on our potential interest in pogba and marquinhos

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea remain keen on Paul Pogba and would like to strike a deal for next summer. Although Real Madrid moved on from their previous interest, there is every chance of a summer offer including players in part exchange. Again, Manchester United would like to strike a deal. With Barcelona unable to sign players before 2016 and PSG and Manchester City in a difficult situation with UEFA and subject to financial sanctions, that effectively only leaves Bayern Munich as potential buyers, although PSG may well try to sell to raise the funds for Pogba or offer players in exchange.

PSG have no intention of selling Marquinhos just yet. They have said that Manchester United and Chelsea are interested and that Bayern Munich are very interested in the player.}

Ed002, a reporter based in Turin from La Stampa is reporting this morning that we have made an offer of 80m euros for Pogba (for June). Any truth in this?

Are we showing interest in him? Best midfielder in the world within 2-3 years IMO.

{Ed002's Note - His agent has said that a number of clubs are interested but no offers have been made yet.}

Chelsea in talks with Cuardrado :( they are building up one hell of a squad ! They are going to be tough to catch next season regardless of who everyone else sign

this lad is brilliant, another we are gunna miss out on, well done ED WOODWARD. person.

You guys really think Cuadrado's that good? I'm highly skeptical about him. Playing like a world beater in Serie A is different to actually being a world beater.

Agree1 Disagree0

I've seen a bit of Serie A this season and have seen him quite a few times, personally i don't see what all the fuss is about tbh. Every time I've seen him, he has been very average and that is in a poor league. Wouldn't go anywhere near £28m for him.

Apparantly we have been told if we want Marquinhos(20 yr old) we would have to pay £112 million.
No thanks :-)

I think they were quoting for 30 percent of that french provincial team playing in Paris because that is what they are lol.

Hi ed, are we serious about pogba or is it purely for the papers?

Believable3 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps not as serious as others.}

21 Jan 2015 09:43:41
Part of me wishes that we were, but then the other part of me thinks he will run to Madrid as soon as they say that they want him.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jan 2015 13:36:23
yes but that's the fear with most players. Madrid want someone they will get him.
apparently a paper called La Stampa (how reliable I have no idea) are reporting that we have bid £61.5 m for Pogba

I think ed means that chelsea are serious. I think if we want him we will get him even if chelsea was in the running, the question is if we would want to put up the money being asked. I doubt we would spend 60 million on him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid and PSG are serious and will look to be offering players in part exchange. Raiola (one of two people who caused him to leave MU) says no offers on the table just yet.}

Axel Witsel has came out and said he has always liked United and he would like to play in England. Ed002 has recently said due to a possible wage cap being introduced in Russia some of the high earners could leave. Do we have any interest in Witsel?

He plays quite deep for belgium so i think a 3 with him, Herrera and Di Maria could work really well
