Apperently man united are just monitoring thiago and trying to go all out for fabregas. I hope this isn't true and that we are doing all we can to get thiago. I really rate this player and could be the buy of the season.

I agree, fabregas is excellent, but Thiago isn't far behind and could be exceptional for the next 10 years or more.

I really doubt unless forced Fabregas will move and although we obviously know how good Fabregas is I would genuinely rather take Thiago for various reasons as you do too, and personally Thorne I don't even think he is behind NOW, the Barca manager maybe thinks so, but the impression I get is the Barca fans don't either, as views I read they would much rather lose Fabregas than Thiago

Get both

I hope we do get Thiago and a quality holding midfielder too, preferably a deep positioned Fellaini

I think the reason barca fans would rather lose fabregas is because of his age. Thiago could be a long term replacement for xavi, whereas fabregas is only going to have a few years at the very top once xavi and iniesta start declining.

I would definitely say fabregas is a better player all-round at the moment, maybe close on the attacking side of the game, but while he's no Roy Keane, fabregas is at least more intelligent in his positioning defensively. It's something Thiago could do with working on a little, as he offers very little defensively.

Thorne

Yes Thorne defensively Fabregas is better and Thiago does sometimes give the ball away and maybe is not as consistent with his passing as he tries more killer balls. I wouldn't say its an age thing though I think they genuinely think Thiago is a special player and with Fabregas they don't (shows how spoilt they are talent wise)

Eds any substance behind these reports of personal terms between United and Thiago being agreed. They seem to be reaching to me.

manchester united agreed personal terms with thiago father. annual salary will be 5 mp.

Surely his dad's a bit old to be running round a football pitch? I suppose we've got Giggsy already!

Isn't his dad a bit old?

Agree0 Disagree1

But he is a world cup winner. ;)

Lets be honest lads, Thiagos dad would still mean less game time for Anderson, Cleverley, Nani and young!
