What are peoples thoughts on Axel Witsel. I feel he could be Hernandez type signing because he's not that well known and he's young, good passer, good shooter, and can tackle too. Also he could have an immediate impact. I want to get, Varane, Sanchez, Witsel and de Gea. Gilly {Ed007's Note - I said before that Witsel caught my eye more than Defour!!}

A player who has seemed to drop off the radar as far as this site is concerned is HULK. . . .but a friend who lives in Lisbon has been telling me that there are rumours that Utd are looking very closely at Hulk.
I'd be very happy to see him in a Utd shirt! Has looked a quality player for years and I think he would fit in very well at Utd.

Biggest surprise of the summer will not be an addition, but a subtraction. Heard it here first, Nani will be leaving the club for a fee of around £20 million to an Italian club. SAF has grown tired of his wasteful dribbling and poor crossing, as evidenced by the fact he has rarely featured in the squad in the last month or so, as we've been playing our most important games. Nani himself is frustrated with this, and will request a move, which SAF will be more than happy to grant.
Who will replace him though? Not Ashley Young, a poor man's Nani. But Tottenham's wing wizard Gareth Bale. He's unhappy with Spurs' collapse over the final third of the season, and desperately wants CL football again next season. A bid of £25 million + Anderson will be enough to prise him from Dan Levy's clutches.
Further signing(s), apart from De Gea and Varane which are done deals, are yet to be determined. Barring any other major departures there will likely only be one more, the main targets being MC Yann M'Vila of Rennes, and MC Javier Pastore of Palermo.

United reps have been so busy for the last couple of days. de gea deal is done. now they are holding talks with Udinese and Inter. Udinese want 25 mil. United are offering 18 mil. but i hope they will reach an agreement soon. and also sneijder is unhappy at Inter and wants to leave the club. .inter are willing to sell but at the moment demanding 35 mil which is too high for United. they are trying to use kiko in the deal. .25 mil+kiko could see Inter accepting the offer. .

Apparently united are willing to spend £60 million on 3 signings i am sure we will get a keeper (De Gea) And Varane. These two would cost alot so this would leave us a good sum of money in which united will make a big name signing after this being the rooney was looking to leave. .My guess is sneijder
But also alexis sanchez's agent has told "La Gazzetta Dello Sport" that he would only move to his 'dream club' manchester united. Otherwise he wil stay with udinese to play CL football and 'repay what theyve done for him'

The De Gea should be do after the CL final and it looks like we have agreed a deal to bring sneijder but the personal terms are a stumbling block and united have already made contact about bezema

Okay this is what Ive learnt in the last 20mins. Adam is definately signing for Utd. I am not happy to bring this news believe me because I'm hoping that this doesn't mean we aint getting Sneijder/Modric. Adams family have travelled from Scotland and are staying in Poulton at the moment. They have spoken openly over the last 24hrs about how proud they are that Charlie is signing for UTD. Thedy go to OT with him on Sunday and the deal has been agreed by all parties at this stage and will be finalised the week after the C/L final. He is also going to the C/L final as a Utd guest. Further more he has bought a house in Worsley, I had previoulsy said sophie was looking in Wilmslow-my apologies that was my error. Deal done I'm afraid and altho the guy is ok, he's not fit enuf and not good enuf to stand in the middle of our mid-field, How can we be linked with the likes of Sneijder and then bag Adam. I'm not happy myself no doubt some of you will be. I'm just worried that SAF is backing this guy coz he wants to support another scottish player, I'm also hoping this doesn't mean the end of our shopping in mid-field. this also explains what he said in the interview to the Utd Review and on Twitter. I'm really unhappy about this and to be honest has knocked my excitement for this week. Sorry to waffle-Nico.

It looks likely that we will sign Raphael Varane and (I am increasingly convinced) De Gea. Accepting that SAF need not be bound by his words, that would only leave 1 more player who must surely be a central midfielder. I pray that this is not Adam or Rodwell.
We need an established creative player so Schneider (spelling) fits the bill.

after failing to sign Cavani, city were expected to go back for sanchez. but they have gone for Jovetic instead. cuz they were told by sanchez's reps that the player either wants a move to Man Utd or wants to stick with Udinese to play in the champions league.

Question what about Eden Hazard as a target, from what I have seen of him he looks like a player that would offer additional creativity ? Anyone have any thoughts on this ?
{Ed002's Note - Hazard signed a new contract with Lille and if he cannot get a move that suits him (Barcelona and Real Madrid were his preference) then he could stay and play in the Champions League next year. Juventus are very keen but cannot offer football at the highest level right now. Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus, Real Madrid, Spurs and Barcelona have shown interest or admiration for the player. I would not be surprised to see Manchester United throw their hat in to the ring as well. If he does move and I was pushed for an answer, I think he could end up in Italy, possibly at Inter. The recent Liverpool bid rumours seem to be little more than the recycling of the story of Damian Comolli asking to be kept informed of any movements for the player and this is several weeks old.}

What business does Redknapp have chasing both Parker and Adam if there is no gap in his midfield? Is it possible Modric is going? I fail to see how Van der Vaart, Sandro, Modric, Jenas, Palacios, Pienaar, Parker and Adam will work together. Especially as Redknapp and Levy have been quoted as saying they want to bring down the wages being paid.
Sir Alex has already said that Modric is his player of the season. We know he won't be playing Champions League football with Tottenham next season. And he is perfect for this current United team. I think Levy would be tempted by 35 million. Just my thoughts on the situation.
