Apparently utd to put in a final bid of 41 mil, if this is not accepted, they wil turn to other targets.

Believable25 Unbelievable44

I think that Barca will accept in the end.

Fabregas and his representatives have been very quiet throughout this process, usually when a player is certain they don't want to leave their agent will be out saying so.

Plus, something must have prompted a bid from United in the first place, I don't think he is as unavailable as Barca make out.

For example Chelsea were told that Rooney is not for sale, but their bid was prompted by the player being unsettled. I am sure that a second/larger bid would force United in to a sale.

Perhaps there is a similar underlying reason to the bid for Fabregas.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are not going to get him other than rvp we have missed out on our top targets for the last number of seasons can't see this season been any different I would say we could field a starting 11 we have missed out on since the glaziers got their hands on the club and it will only get higher with a manager like moyes in the hot seat

Agree1 Disagree1

It is quite amazing when you think about it. United have missed out on so many, yet they remain the top club I England and one off in Europe. Imagine we made thos signings. If we get fab we will be class. But I don't think we will in the end as we won't put the money up. But looking forward hopefully seeing some if the youngsters get a chance. Zaha, lingard and welbeck look really good together so far!

JL

Agree0 Disagree0

United and Moyes must have had the go ahead to make a second bid

Agree0 Disagree0

We won't get any of our top targets we will end up with Baines and Fellani and possibly Gail Platts twin Modric. Another season of poor football ahead. Gone are the days of entertainment at OT. All teams now look forward to visiting us with no fear most now stand a chance of winning

Andy r

Agree0 Disagree1

They just won another championship. and produced high entertainment while dominating the league.

Good news we bid again for fabregas. there's also news of it being rejected. I think another bid is needed, hope we get him world class player.

CSC not for sale, who is next?

Believable16 Unbelievable10

Every player is for sale at the 'right price'. The people in charge on United, know what they are doing. Have some faith.

Agree0 Disagree1

Fallaini is my guess

Agree0 Disagree1

United have been told by the chairman of barcelona that cesc is not for sale and to stop pursuing him

Agree1 Disagree0

Every player has a price, even Messi and Rona
ldo would be sold if the right offer came in.
We are near that price on Cesc Fabregas, another bid if we're prepared to do it, will be enough.
Flyhalfmitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

CSC not for sale? They may go for DFS next then.

Brendan81

Agree2 Disagree0

What a ludicrous bid to begin with. We now know why we failed with alexis sanchez, hazard and all the others. These transfer offers were never meant to succeed in the first place.

The gundogen bid will materialise soon.

Agree0 Disagree1

35m will do it

Agree1 Disagree0

I think we will look to Modric next. I would be happy with that and I would expect us to agree a fee with RM as they do need the cash.

Sydney!

Agree1 Disagree1

If we sign Modric for RM then we can kiss our already minimal chance of Bale goodbye, as that will give Madrid the cash they've been waiting for to fund a deal for Bale.

Dan

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with Sydney. However I recon united will advance with one final bid.

Agree2 Disagree0

Boo-hoo, someone's giving Barcelona grief pursuing one of their players. Slightly hypocritical for them to be complaining about it really.

I have a slightly different take on the Fabregas thing. For United to continue to pursue him, they must have had encouragement from somewhere - probably the player's agent. What's happening at the moment is the usual everybody sticking their chests out bit. Cesc doesn't want to burn his bridges with the Barce fans in case he ends up back there. Barce don't want to appear to cave in and sell good players to other big clubs. We want to push the situation. I guess the only thing that would change the score now is a bigger bid from us (£35m-ish, I suppose) or Cesc asking to move. We'll see how things go over the next few days.

As for the Bale thing, it's unlikely Spurs would sell to us anyway. I suspect the Bale pursuit is more to apply pressure to RM to let us at Ronaldo, but I don't think either will happen.

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't really feel that we need modric personally I think he's over rated. We have kagawa in the position modric plays and I think he will go on to be better than modric. Put the money into cesc

Agree2 Disagree0

Ozil?.

Agree0 Disagree1

As long as it is not Cabaye that would be a good start.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jul 2013 21:43:28
How do modric and kagawa play in the same position?

Agree0 Disagree0

Would geuninely prefer Cabaye to Modric as I too think he is overrated due to inconsistent performances. modric a bit like nani in that on his day he is unstopable but unfrotunately these days are few and far between. cabaye would be a lot cheaper than modric and the money saved could be used instead to finance a move for a huge star

Agree0 Disagree1

Bale will not happen, please stop, its getting stupid now.

First time poster but visit the site everyday. Never had anything to post until now. My friend is working on Gary Neville's roof. Apparently Neville has said Rooney is as good as gone, didn't say who to though. United are tryin to raise as much funds as possible from the Rooney sale to get bale who nev has said is 50/50. He is almost certain we will get cesc.

Wynn

Believable21 Unbelievable55

Is he working in the eco friendly roof that Gary Neville has.
KevDarko

Agree2 Disagree1

Yeah, i'm sure Gary told the person doing his roof information that no one else (e. g the press) have been told

Agree0 Disagree0

As someone who has worked on quite a few footballers pads or de foe, le seux lee Dixon ect work is carried out through a main contractor and trades will have absolutely no contact with the client of that level at at all. '. , so I would go with this being a load of s***, we will be lucky to sign anyone at this rate let alone roofers tales of world class footballers

Alman

Agree1 Disagree0

Guess he didn't get the memo that Barca has turned down the second offer. Can't see Man United paying 40+ million for Cesc

KB

Agree0 Disagree1

The offer was 40m euros. Hopefully we'll go higher and I wouldn't care if we spent £40m to try and get him, he's exactly what we need.

Dan

Agree1 Disagree0

Barca haven't rejected second offer get your facts rite they won't make a desicion until new manager is signed

Agree2 Disagree0

Actually, Alman, it depends on who you're doing the work for. Most people having work done on their homes would talk to the people doing it, "celebrity" or not. I used to send engineers out to fit mobile phones to high end cars. Some famous people would leave keys with an intermediary, others would talk with the fitter. Quite a few chatted to the guys a lot, made them lunch etc. So it's not an unbelievable rumour on that basis.

Agree3 Disagree0

That would be because they haven't turned down the second offer yet!

Agree0 Disagree0

Think your mate fell off the roof and cracked his head as all the info is bs

Agree0 Disagree0

My brother in law fitted blinds at Asmir Begovic's house and he spoke with him about football and things in general. I also had a friend who installed sockets at John Gregorys house when he was Villa manager and he was there and spoke with him too so this chap may be telling the truth. I expect most people will say I am talking BS too though lol
Cheekos

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would you come up with such lies, honestly state your opinion on what's going on, you don't have to come up with a rubbish back story

Agree0 Disagree0

Neville doesn't have a roof, he's got a crazy underground flower house

Hi all,

not posted for a while, just heard a whisper, lewandowski will be the next move after the fabregas situation is sorted. Lewy will be replacement for wazza, who looks more destined for the emirates than chelski, also fellaini and baines for a combined 40mil, but this will be later in the window,

regards
lorcan

Believable15 Unbelievable36

I thought Lewandowski was pretty much nailed on to go to Bayern?

Agree1 Disagree1

Are you daft! he is gone to Bayern!

Agree1 Disagree1

I wish that was true put it sounds like a whisper from someone on fifa.

Agree3 Disagree0

He is rumoured to be Bayern bound but worth a shot. I've been saying for weeks that a loan move could nake sense.

Think about it.

RL on loan for a year saves us splashing it big and then next year a different set of players will be available I. e. Ronaldo or Bale.

Or of course after a year on loan (that I guess we'd have to pay for) RL may decide to stay at United.

Wishful thinking ;-)

Ben

Agree3 Disagree0

Not that this is going to happen at all, but if had the slightest chance, then Dortmund would ask for a fee, most like £10m.
They are not going to get rid of everyone as they are still trying to compete for Champs League positions.

melwing28

Agree0 Disagree0

Melweg, the going rate for forwards of RL's ability is about £50m so £10m for a year isn't too bad. I'm sure the difference in his and WR's wages would pay about half of it anyway.

Alternatively some sort of permanent deal that has him on a fixed sell on to Bayern after a year could achieve the same thing but cheaper dor us.

It's a bit off the wall but clearly RL holds all the cards with regards his next move.

Ben

Agree0 Disagree0

I forgot to add.

BVB are in a similar position with RL as we are with WR. Albeit with less media coverage and manipulation - in the UK at least.

Ben

Agree0 Disagree0

Difference is that WR has 2 years left on his contract and RL has only one. We could wait another year. Perhaps even 2 if the club thinks its worth it.

Dan

Agree0 Disagree0

Lewandowski will join Munich this summer

Agree0 Disagree0

Dan I didn't mean the contract length. I meant the player clearly wants to be playing elsewhere. Not ideal in a team environment.

Ben

Agree0 Disagree0

Why on earth would u loan out your best forward for the final year of his contract? Be better selling him than taking a 10mill loan fee

Agree2 Disagree0

A. Because he wants to leave so what's the point of keeping him? B. If they sold him now that's all they'd get. C. They'd prefer he moved abroad than to Bayern.

A deal could be struck that suits Dortmund, United and Bayern, it won't happen but my point remains that I would be happy if it did.

i've got a feeling at this rate, Paul Scholes will be coming out of retirement in December again. ;)

Del Boy!

Believable57 Unbelievable11

Oh it is so frustrating been a utd fan, this is why I didn't want moyes to get the job everton got the better deal here a manger that has won a major honour in england, don't forget phil nevelle will come into a player coach position aswell. Once we have been told at the end of august that we tryed to bring in some world class players then after tgat there will be the no value in the tranfer market, the glaziers got what they want in woodward and moyes 2 yes men

Agree0 Disagree3

Coming out of Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea bid for Rooney. United said ok 10 million and Mata and he's yours.
Chelsea declined only interested in a cash deal. This is not over yet watch this space

Agree0 Disagree1

Del boy
What a comment!

Even lot many united supporters are thinking same. In absence of quality wingers people are thinking to call cantona back. that's definatly our club board can do

Rodio17

Agree1 Disagree0

I would rather have him back than sign Cabaye.

Agree1 Disagree1

I like the way this is now a complaints forum not a rumours site

Moyes has said himself in a press conference " i'm only in the job 3 weeks" he had a winding down period at everton!

And why have they come back with a second bid for Fabregas?

Get out from behind your Consoles and start living in the real word

(Bagolego)

Agree2 Disagree0

How can u think moyes only in the job 3 weeks, he knew long before the season ended that he would be utd next manager. They spend months working on transfers do u honestly think they only approached moyes in may to take the utd hotseat u would want to get your head out of the console they back in december when quardiola said no they probs approached moyes a month later

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone seems to be signing but us. If Rooney goes, we could be starting next season with a weaker midfield than the last two.
Everyone at OT talks about a money chest and how generous the Glazers are, but where's the evidence? As we are, can't see us finishing about City or Chelski. Hurts, but hope Moyes can pull his finger out.
Not interested in hearing him say we could only get Cabbaye and Fellaini - but never wanted Strootman and Thiago anyway!

Agree1 Disagree0

Maybe he already accepted the Bayern offer beforehand

Ok ill be the first to say it,
Ronaldo was seen in Bournemouth last night, word is he is having a medical ;-) why else would he be there?

Believable26 Unbelievable47

Well, have to say, this is getting worrying from our point of view, it now seems we've wasted too much time trying to put a package together for him and fair play to Bournmouth, they've taken advantage and begun talks with him, where will it end?!lol

Charla

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, it can't be anyting else ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

A friendly with Bournemouth which Madrid won 6-0 perhaps?

Agree0 Disagree2

Real Madrid played a friendly with Bournemouth last night Ronaldo scored twice!

Barnes85

Agree0 Disagree2

He was there with madrid playing a match

Agree0 Disagree1

Hear he is signing for Bournemouth with 99% ownership of the club in return :)

Shahram

Agree1 Disagree1

Err, don't you read the papers. He was playing for Madrid in a friendly against Bournemouth.

Agree0 Disagree2

Seems that humour is lost on many.

MDJ

Agree6 Disagree0

Relax folks, just a little bit of levity/ sarcasm. Nobody really believes he is signing for Bournemouth.

Agree4 Disagree0

! People actually thought this was a serious post?! Christ on a bike!

Agree5 Disagree0

Ha

Too many Americans on here?

DanW

Agree2 Disagree0

This is really happening, part of the agreement was the friendly match they played as Madrid have identified Bournemouth as having great potential to market themselves. Ronaldo has a caravan down there (2005 6 birth tourer, its a beaut!)and loves playing bingo at the club house. Only sticking point is Marc Pugh won't give up his No. 7 shirt but Ronaldo's agent doesn't think it's a deal breaker.

Jiameuk

Agree3 Disagree0

Madrid played Bournemouth in a friendly last night RM won 6-0

Agree0 Disagree1

Ha, so it's got nothing to do with the fact that Real Madrid just played Bournemouth, beating them 6-0?!

Agree0 Disagree1

What has it come to when some people believed this.

RRED7

Humour mustn't be some people's strong point lol.
Redpaul

Agree3 Disagree0

Wind 'em up & reel 'em in!
Blimey. :/

Agree2 Disagree0

This is amazing news. The way I see it, is that it gives us an 'in' to get ronaldo after all. He'll play a few months at bournemouth, realise that he is 33years to young to live there and then we can step in an rescue him in the Jan window.

I pray this all comes off. We need such great news. Thanks for the original post!

mikee

Agree1 Disagree0

Laughing at all the reposnses, think he was well aware why he was there!

Agree1 Disagree0

It's a shame to see your humour wasted on so may CTR

I love that people were actually getting a little angry at this as well haha I thought it was funny

Agree1 Disagree0

Thought the original post was funny, but the replies are so much better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol come on guys! Its sarcasim ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

What an obvious place for a manchester club to conduct their medicals - away from their worldclass medical facilities and 250-odd miles from home.

Bournemouth is nearer Paris than Manchester, numbnuts. Wait, maybe PSG do THEIR medicals in "the medical epicentre of Europe" (or Bournemouth as it's also known). {Ed004's Note - You obviously didn't get the sarcasm from the post I'm not sure how you didn't get it from the replies}

Press reports this morning that Rooney will sign for Chelsea for about £30m but not in time for him to play against us on 26 August. Sounds a good deal to me.

Believable22 Unbelievable26

Yes that's what's coming out of the Bridge. United are also waiting to see what happens with cesc. if he turns us down. Chelsea still keen on moving Mata on, a swap deal with Rooney is still on the cards.

I washed David Peggs car

Agree0 Disagree0

I imagine any deal for Rooney to join Chelsea would be done after we have played them.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally, my money is on Rooney staying in this window and leaving in January. Moyes would look pretty stupid if he sells now after insisting that Rooney is not for sale. When the window changes it will be a different story though as he will not lose face by selling.

The most important thing for a new manager is to be seen to be strong willed. Selling now could make it seem like he will cave under the slightest pressure.

Agree0 Disagree0

So worst case RVP is injuried anyone got any bright ideas who will score because I havnt. Short sighted, unless there is a cunning plan. Baz

Agree0 Disagree0

Baz, I'm with you there mate. Although we have other strikers obviously, I don't think they have consistent league winning form.

As we all know, we need a goal-scoring midfielder who can take some of the pressure off RVP, Danny and Chicharito when they are not playing well, or dare I say it - injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hernandez

Agree1 Disagree0

What about Hernandez? I got the impression he was a prolific goalscorer for MU and Mexico? Hernandez supported by a better midfield/wings will be much better. He wouldn't need to drop deep to get the ball and could concentrate on being a striker, nothing more, nothing less.

Sydney!

Agree3 Disagree0

If Rooney leaves we will need another world class striker who could it be?

Agree0 Disagree0

Like SAF said more than once last season, Shinji Kagawa will be a much improved player for us this season. I can see him getting quite a few goals and assists.

Ozwald

Agree3 Disagree0

Why is it that other top strikers go for 50million -Falcao and Cavani both similar ages, very good strikers go for 40 million+ - Suarez and goodish strikers like Higuin go for 30 million+ Rooney is still a far better player than this guy, yet 30 million is a good deal for Rooney? If he goes to Chelsea he must go for at least 40 million. If he goes oversea then 30 million doesn't look so bad. I like the idea of Lukuku and 15 million or Mata in a straight swop. We'd be mugs to sell Rooney, even if he isn't at his 50 million peak, to Chelsea at anything other than a high price. Could you see then selling us Oscar, or Hazard for 20 million?
Mik

Agree1 Disagree1

Robert L on loan for a year before he joins Bayern would work for me. Especially if we can swing it for Ronaldo to return next summer or splash out on Bale.

Agree0 Disagree1

Allour other rivals are doing business except us. I know its early in market but not happy everything seems slow if your not fast your last

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to love the fans that want us to spend spend spend!
Let other clubs spend £50m on a player, who cares! Look at how much City and Madrid have spent recently, have they got anything to show for it? Madrid £80m for Ronaldo, what has it brought them exactly? How about £50m that Chelsea paid for Torres?
Spending a lot on fees is not the answer. It's about quality simple as! We spent under £40m on RVP and Kagawa and look at the rewards!
Look at City this year, who exactly have they bought that would worry us?

melwing28

Agree0 Disagree0

So you think it is a good deal, but you are scared of him playing against us. Which says it all, he's a superb player and the people who hate him on here, will regret slagging him all the time when he's won the league with chelski. But it will be too late then.
Nomidfield

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney will go for a lot more than £30m to an English club. Still got a sneaky feeling that Lewandowski is the replacement. No sources for I like everyone else on here do not have any. Just a feeling.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry forgot to say if Rooney leaves and RVP gets injured who can score goals. Baz

Agree0 Disagree0

Mata and Fabregas ohhhh

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jul 2013 15:58:32
If Rooney goes to an English club we should be getting more than £30m for him! Why would we let a direct rival strengthen significantly for that price?! Also, I would insist on Mata in any deal with the chavs. Mourinho said Rooney is the only one he wants, well fine but if he wants him that much we'll have Mata thankyou very much!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rumours going around we have made a bid for De Rossi and potentially will do a swap deal with Nani being involved.

Shahram

Believable12 Unbelievable40

I would love this to be true, de Rossi is awesome and would be the hard man midfielder we've missed since keano. plus nani has had 6 years to prove himself and he just isn't getting to the standard and consistency we need him to be at.

Good option to offer long term cover for rio and vidic. I know we have jones Evans smalling and the young lad keane, but this guy is good. My mates son has come home from Holidays in Spain. His mothers family have their own house and lived there for years and supposedly know people that know people. As they always say.

I have heard from him so that Cesc is all but done, the bid is accepted by Barca but they must contact AW to see if he wants to take first refusal.

The details of the extra stuff in the bid are Shirt sales percentage etc and of if any offers for DDG come in Barca will be notified as a gentlemans agreement in place for him.

Maybe total nonsense but I really really hope it's true

Reddevil

Believable11 Unbelievable59

That's a good one.

We receive a fixed amount each year from Nike so this % shirt sales is impossible to start with. Tell your mate to at least try to come up with a better story next time.
