SickBhoy {ed's note - O'Neill has already been ruled out for the Liverpool job, there are no currently jobless managers in the running or they would have been appointed.}

O'Neill wouldn't give our youth a chance just like he held Villa's youth back for years.

It's no secret that Mou wants to return to the PL and I can only see him coming to Man Utd. I believe this will happen within the next three years or so. I guess it depends whether Fergy lasts that long to see if we need a manager in between that. Martin O'neil anyone?

I think O'Neils boat has gone on that one, when he left The Hoops his stock was sky high, I honestly thought Villa would be challenging for a CL spot under him. Now though, there is even questions over his man management, tactics etc. I think (maybe even hope) that AF stays on till Jose has done his work at Real and is ready to build a new dynasty at OT. The biggest club in the world deserves the best, and after AF, Mourinho is the best. Could Owen Coyle handle managing a club THAT big?? As for Saint Martin of the O'Neill. . . . . NEXT LIVERPOOL MANAGER! !

{Editor's Note: I would suggest Laurent Blanc with Owen Coyle as an outside chance.}

*Thats a great shout ed. Though I would say that as Im biased. Ive been saying for a while that Owen Coyle is creeping up as a great choice for when Fergie retires. He plays football the right way, generates a great spirit amongst his players and is as honest as they come when faced with the press.

I think we will surely secure transfer of defour but what about else

@Rossi was sold for £6.6m, there is no set price to buy him back, apparently United have to offer Villareal an acceptable offer to get him back.

I think in the summer we will resign rossi mainly because owen will most likely retire and probably another striker will leave rossi is a great finisher and is left footed and can also play left wing just wat we need
and ed u no that man u put a buy back clause in his contract does that mean we can buy him back for a set price? or wat? {ed's note - that's exactly what it means mate, I can't remember the price that was set, but the reports were probably incorrect anyway, they normally are!}

im just gonna guess double wat we sold him for :) but i don't have any idea how much we did sell him for :( {ed's note - it doesn't always work like that, often teams let a player move on the cheap on condition of a low buyback price. For instance Adam Hammill left Liverpool for Barnsley for 500k and the buyback price is rumoured to be anything from 500k to 1.5m, so at the most it will cost 1m overall to bring him back. I would guess United did something similar with Rossi, I seem to remember him not being sold for huge money. But, of course, there is always the problem of convincing Rossi to return, he might not want to come back in case he can't get playing time.}

{Editor's note - I admit Pastore is out of our price range but he is the player I would sign for a big amount. He will be amoungst the best in the world some day}

@I agree Ed but he is out of our price range, hes another player that has sneaked onto the scene. I think this is why Fergie is snapping up a lot of 20 year old talent from around the world. Players are starting to show their true abilities from the age of around 20-21 so maybe he is getting to players before they cost too much money? Hernandez, Obertan & Bebe in two years time will all be worth much more than we paid for them.

We tried getting Ozil at 20, but we would pay an extra 1m to agree the deal, now look at him! I still think we have one top top player already in our ranks, Paul Pogba, he will be world class. I just hope he gets his chance soon and i would give him a big buy-out clause too.

Sydney!
{Editor's note - We also had a bid accepted for Pastore earlier in his career but he chose Palermo to get game time..}

Sydney!- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
That would be a formidable team Sydney! But here is my eleven:
- - - - - -De Gea- - - - - -
Isla- - - Ferd- - - Vida- - - Evra
- - - Fletch- -Schwein- - -
- - - - - -Pastore- - - - - -
Sanchez- - - - - - - -Nani
- - - - - -Rooney- - - - - -
I suppose it is all great fun picking your dream eleven, but given the choice, what player would you like to see at Old Trafford the most? I mean a player who would make an instant impact and change the approach of the team completely. And please don't say Messi, Ronaldo or Xavi. Out of the players we are being LINKED with, who would you choose? Personally, I would choose Sanchez; if not him, then Schweinsteiger.
G.A.G.U.S
P.S- Editor, did I use a semi-colon correctly? I bet your really impressed with my punctuation aswell. {ed's note - no good asking me mate, my English is awful!}

@Pastore is way out of our price range mate, his clause is 60m and it would take two thirds of that amount to buy him and we do not have those funds.

Sanchez could be bought for between 17-20m with some hard negotiating, De Gea would cost 14-16m and Schweinsteiger would cost Berbatov plus 10m. Even this is a bit far fetched, i would expect De Gea, Sanchez & Henderson. But we will have to let some players go.

Is it just me or does Jose M take every opportunity to talk about Man Utd in the media at the moment?

Do you think he is constantly trying to put himself forward for the job when Saf retires?

I took his comments at the recent LMA meeting as this, SAF I would very much like your job when I'm done in Madrid so please hold out for a couple of seasons.

yours sincerely

JM

{Editor's Note: He responds to loaded questions honestly - or at least reasonably honestly.}

Ed, do you know what question he was asked, in order for him to talk about Fergie not retiring for at-least a few years?

{Editor's Note: Not off the top of my head - and I would not expect him to turn up at Manchester United anytime soon.}

Ed, who would you put your money on to be the next Utd manager? if you were a betting man. . {ed's note - Carlos Quieroz.}

I have to say good shout, although Gill did recently say that it would be someone who has a track record of winning trophies, and I am pretty sure although open to correction he has only won them as a no 2?

{Editor's Note: I would put my money on Laurent Blanc.}

He appears to have the making of a great manager with the sort of class needed, But, only 1 trophy again isn't a proven track record. .

Man United are interrested in Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David de Gea. He is very young, very talented and also interrested in amove to Man United as not only does he support them, he idolises the current keeper Edwin Vandersar.

Ed, are united over relying on crosses and mistakes from opponents for scoring goals?
i feel united are even below teams like sunderland and villa in midfield creativity
we need a CM player who is purely attack minded and creative rather than playing multi roles
we cannot challange for title this season unless we buy creative midfielders in january

rumours in
xavi (barca) 24 million
degea - 16 million

Editor - I am expecting & hoping for an announcement or something today regarding the PIKs, i doubt we will here anything til late this afternoon until America wakes up.

Ed would this be done through wall street in NYC or will it be a deal done in Texas? Obviously if its a deal from Texas we may not ever know were the money has come from, is that fair? {ed's note - I don't expect to find out quickly mate, the truth might never come out. These kind of people don't make their money by being honest and open in their dealings!}

With man city and other spending clubs now stateing interest in our targets hulk from porto contrao from benfica benzema madrid henderson sunderland i think united will sign gylfi sigurdsson hoffenheim varela porto jeremy menez roma henderson high chance we may still nab him gary cahill bolton reina if he wnats to leave i know optimistic sanchez isla both chileans hamsik napoli cavani napoli de gea atletico madrid eden hazard lille with anderson admitting to a brazillian reporter that he like it in manchester but would prefer to go back to portugaal and would choose porto his former club i think that might help us if we decide to try and sign hulk anderson plus 15 million maybe obviously these are not alll going to happen but i think a few will because obviously fergie wants to bolster the attack with more prolific goalscorers and midfield with more pace and creativity after villa dominated us the other week i think he will look for pace now instead of people like berbatov so hulk sanchez those kind of players fast strong premiership type players
