ED's is M.E.N our Marca or can we give some credibility to the Ronaldo reports?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed004's Note - there is no chance}

Better to put it to bed early than have it partying all night. As always cheers Ed004.

Be very interesting if Madrid were to sell Ronaldo back to us, can't see it myself. I think Perez would get shut of Benitez before they allowed Ronaldo to leave.
Think we all agree it's the silly season time again.
I'm sure one or two players will still come in for squad balance, be interesting to see how Van Gaal will keep everyone happy with the inevitable squad rotation. Again who knows what our owners,ceo,and manager have planned

PSG have lunched a bid for Lacazett. It has been reported in some quarters. If this is true, what hapoens to Cavani? If any ed is about could u please shed light if there is truth in this rumours. Thanks for the good job u are doing always.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed004's Note - I think they confirmed that Cavani would remain their next season}

23 Jul 2015 21:11:27
Ibra seems more likely to move if lacazette signs for PSG given his age.
Decent signing if they manage to get it over the line along with di Maria. Will defo be pushing even harder in Europe this year.

Don't really get why they bought stambouli from spurs though the lad couldn't get a game while he was in England.

24 Jul 2015 09:35:21
And in other quarters they may "breakfast" a bid for De Bruyne. :P

Pedro deal will be discussed with Barca when the teams meet at the weekend. Expect it to be announced and finalised early next week.
This will leave us free to offload ADM (a shame, but he won't fit in a 433 formation and he's not fully committed either)
Once we recoup money from this sale and free up his substantial wages, we will place a bid on the table which Munich will be unable to refuse for Muller. Money and wages won't be an issue, we just have to wait and see what Muller himself wants although with Lahms comments during the week, I'd be hopeful as it shows Muller hasn't told his team mates he's 100% on staying.

This leaves us with a front 3 of Muller-Rooney-Pedro, Depay will push Pedro for a place and will also play whenever Rooney is injured/rested. With those 4 players leading the line, Hernandez will be kept as an experienced back up and a young front three of Lingard-Wilson-Januzaj will be given chances under LVG

23 Jul 2015 19:32:40
Ed004 is it seen as a replacement for adm or would he come even if adm stayed?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed004's Note - I think he would probably be a replacement unfortunately. I want Di Maria to stay and prove himself this season but if we wants to go better to sell him now when he has still a big value.}

sky sports TRANSFER CENTER is just as bad as the newspapers,

UNITED TARGET €25M MIDFIELDER

Manchester United have lodged a €25m bid for Lazio's defensive midfielder Lucas Biglia, reports Corriere dello Sport.

The Argentina international, 29, is contracted to the Serie A club until the summer of 2018.

it's a running blog of what other people are reporting, funny you managed to regurgitate that word for word yet missed the part where they credit it to 'dello sport'. may i suggest you're more observant in future.

i have a friend similar to this who's oblivious to how articles credit others to attract readers. on another note he also has no idea which sources have some credibility. i often get messages linking ridiculous players to clubs and it always transpires he read it on the most unreliable sites.

'tottenham to sign messi'

i digress but does anyone else have this type of friend?

At this rate with midfielders , we will hardly score goals , but on the other hand we won't concede many either . Any positive rumour will do me at the moment , the quietness is killing me .
C'mon Mr Woodward make some kind of statement regarding another couple of signings at least . Or even departures. Intresting to read that Young has not Been offered a contract extension as yet.
We live in hope.

It's clearly aimed at Sky Sports and he's clearly holding Sky Sports accountable for the rumour. The only reason he managed to state who was because he's mastered the art of copy and paste, it's abundantly obvious what his point is.

Agree0 Disagree6

23 Jul 2015 20:40:19
My point is sky is just as bad as places like goal and the metro etc, who just "quote" other BS rumours.

Should sly sports not be accountable jist necause they didn't make the rumour up?

There still showing trash on their site in the hope to get people to read it,

That was the WHOLE point of my copied ans paste post.

Hi Edds,

Lots of rumors going round regarding a bid for Muller. Any news on interest etc?

Thanks in advance!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed004's Note - There is interest but there is about a 1% chance Bayern would sell}

23 Jul 2015 12:13:44
so there is a chance

The chance is if HE wants to leave. Bayern would not sell him at any price. Hope Basti phones him :)

Talks between Man United and PSG regarding Di Maria have have broken down.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

23 Jul 2015 10:14:17
I doubt it, he wants to go, the club aren't against him leaving and PSG want him.

It's a matter of time until PSG pay the £50 million we are asking. I don't think we will see him improve this coming season for us as he doesn't want to be here so it's best we get as much money back as we can now.

Agree4 Disagree7

23 Jul 2015 14:32:25
I think if we can get £50m for a player who I don't think intended joining us in the first place, ie PSG would've bought him last year but for FFP, then that's best deal we are going to get.

Clearly the shackles are off us financially now given not only the amount of money we are allowed to pay for players and wages but the amounts we seem able to write-off:
£9m for Di Maria
£13m wasted re Falcao in terms of loan fee (£6m) and wages of c. £200k pw more than he was worth.

So as funny as it is we can't be too critical when City are being ripped off paying £49m for Sterling and Liverpool £33m for Benteke.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2015 15:22:50
From the horses mouth he wants to stay doesn't. I really don't want Di Maria to leave. What is the real reason he wants out?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2015 10:26:51
This is interesting. United say they won't sell unless adm asks to leave, on the other hand, they have a price in mind that will let him go for - and PSG are offering less than that. What if he does ask to leave? Would that then affect the asking price? Would united still demand the original price and would PSG then be less inclined to offer it knowing that united have a player who wants to leave. Would it then be seen as united's negotiating power being weakened?

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2015 09:25:37
Hi Ed's,

Do you think we might enter the race to get John Stones? Everton are reportedly after Evans and have historic interest in Smalling. He is a very good player who could make it to be a top CB. Do you see us/ have we shown any movement to secure the player?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - you haven't yet shown any interest, but I believe he has indicated a desire to join Chelsea, should he leave Everton, so it might have put you off getting involved.}

23 Jul 2015 10:13:04
They would have a fantastic signing on their hands.

I imagine he might be a little put off by what we have done to Phil Jones. Both are/were very promising young centre halves and he won't want his career to go like Jones.

Agree3 Disagree1

23 Jul 2015 14:36:27
I think Jones had potential but as they say in horse racing just hadn't 'trained on'. Talk of him being future United & England CB and captain seems well wide of the mark now. The only CB I'd have any confidence in is Rojo and he's hardly Jaap Stam is he?

I hope we are in for both Ramos AND Otamendi as imo we need 2 class CBs who can walk into the first team with Rojo and Smallinh back up.

Agree1 Disagree1

23 Jul 2015 15:24:29
And what's the problem with Phil Jones? I just don't get some comments.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2015 18:13:41
I actually think both Jones and Smalling will greatly improve if we bring in a world class central defender. Jones has a lot of injury problems and Smalling is very inconsistent, hopefully eiher Ramos/Otamendi or whoever it is will improve them both. Just thinking this based on how good Evans looked when he played next to Vidic or Ferdinand, the guy looked unbeatable until Vidic got injury prone and Ferdinand lost his legs

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jul 2015 19:10:09
Jones' positional play let's him down on occasions. Whilst he's brave enough to put his head where others won't put their feet that's usually because he's put himself in an awkward spot in the first place.

I like to see young players progress into great ones but by the age of 23 he should be the finished article should he not? If that's the case he certsinly is not. And Smalling was dismal until picking up considerably in latter half of last season.

We are 2 top CBs short though if want to genuine title contenders.

Agree0 Disagree2

24 Jul 2015 10:30:36
I can't see two CB's coming in this window. only 1 possibly.

And Halesini, as far as expecting all players to turn into "great" by the age of 23. the less said the better.

Agree1 Disagree1

23 Jul 2015 07:50:52
Morning Edds, wonderful morning, and I was hoping on some good news on transfers?

Which brings me to defenders, again? Can we see any young bright sparks coming in? Martin Hinterregger comes to mind? Surely Salzburg must be resigned to letting him go and at a fair price too?

Also, Lucas Moura had a good game for PSG? With Di Maria going to Paris xould he come in the opposite direction?

Cheers guys, keep up the exellent work, Ronnie.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - there is nothing new to report from me sorry Ronnie. Though I don't know how much longer United will hang around trying to agree the Otamendi deal before they give up and look elsewhere.}

23 Jul 2015 10:05:36

it can't be that hard to just agree to his buyout clause.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2015 21:04:57
They will be haggling with Valencia over the price mate. If there is a chance we can bring otamendi in for less than the €35m buyout then I'm sure ed Woodward is trying to do it. I know we have a lot of cash to throw about and activating the clause seems the easiest thing to do but can't imagine ed letting every club rinse us of the money we have available. He looks as though he is getting the hang of transfer business and has learned a lot from shouting his mouth off about who we are targeting and seems to have clubs best interests at heart.

I hope he brings otamendi in though and possibly a striker.

Keep up the good work ed001 site is awesome 👍
