Ed 001, Down the page we spoke about ramos,

With the media recently i think ramos may have burned his bridges so to speak, so if mufc was serious in there interest would you be able to confirm that there is actual interest from us and we are looking for a deal potentially to be struck ?

Cheers

{Ed001's Note - right now, there has been no moves from anyone other than his brother stirring the pot. If it becomes known he has burnt his bridges, then we will see who jumps in, though I am pretty sure we can rule out Chelsea. Ramos was one of the players causing trouble behind the scenes while Mourinho was in charge.}

July the 1st can't come quick enough. Be interesting to see who we actually sign , been linked to 300 players already. Looks like LFC have stolen a march on Firmino , only seen you tube clips , but looks half decent , But we don't have a great record with Brazilian players but only time will tell. Ramos a no goer in my eyes . Need a Scholes like midfielder , a rock of a defender , a striker who knows were the net is , and hopefully De gea to stay. I'm sure the board have got things in place , but god almighty the suspense is killing me. Here,s to the new season and getting back to the united we all know and love.

Ramos is clearly using us to get a new deal we should move on and get someone who wants to play for the jersey like otamendi he wants to come just pay what needs to get the deal done and stop messing about can't believe are paying nearly 30 million pound for firminho we don't need him we've got enough attacking players we need a WC DM and BBM who can dominate midfield which in turn will unleash our flair players Mata di Maria depay and her erra without them having to defend as much get us back to doing what we do best counter attack with pace like the old days of giggsy and kanchelkis etc

(not united related)
I was just hearing on sly sports that Liverpool are in for Roberto Firmino and two other South American players. Could it be a case of them spending the Sterling money already?

If Liverpool are getting firminho over us then I reckon lvg either wasn't in for him or pereiras performances in the u20s this summer has made him think twice which is right in my opinion we should be promoting our youth if their good enough instead of paying over the odds for MOTD fever players like Firminho,Anderson

I agree, nach73. Pereira is a similar player to Firminho and it could be that the manager wants to give Pereira a chance.

Firminho is a top talent though. It would be interesting how Rodgers would use him and Coutinho in the same side.

I think Firmino will be the real deal. He has had a real rise to the public eye recently and is constantly improving. Regardless I hope Pereira is involved more this coming year, a midfield 3 birth is really helpful for youngsters as the pressure is shared a little more.

Rodgers probably doesn't have a clue but Firmino represents a relatively big name with an affordable fee that will appease the fans for a bit.

Firmino is best in Coutinho's position. Maybe the plan is Firmino and Sturridge up front when he leaves the medical room.

So, now Lpool are favorites to sign Fermino.It was us, then Shity, now pool. Eds any real info about who is closer ?!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed004's Note - None all three clubs appear interested in him. Can't see why City would want both Sterling and Firmino}

23 Jun 2015 15:06:03
There's a bit of info about him on the scousers page, basically all 3 clubs are willing to pay the fee for him but at the moment no one has agreed the "conditions".

Just wondering if the eds (if possible) could give a rough guide line to the stages of a transfer process for a player between 2 clubs?

. only reason i'm asking is during some transfer windows teams seem to do there business quickly while our activity seems to drag on sometimes was just wondering is there any particular reason for it or is a combination of things?

cheers

{Ed002's Note - As it is not transfer related, sure. Clubs will typically informally ask an agent (a) if the player is going to be available, and (b) would the player consider a move to the club. There may be some broad discussion on the sort of deal that would be offered. If the answer is yes, it is then necessary for the club to approach the player's club to ask if they would be willing to sell and if they would grant permission to speak to a player's agent and possibly even the player about actually making a move. This will typically involve either broadly (through an offer) or actually agreeing a fee and responsibility for any significant costs (agents fees etc.). Once this has happened the club will be able to speak to the player's agent and perhaps the player himself to look at the package that will be involved. Many players are looked at and discussed at a high-level with agents and clubs; a subset of those have an offer placed; a subset of those involve discussions with the player's club; a subset of those involve discussions over terms, and; a subset of those go ahead.}
