We are being linked with Ruben Pardo of Real Sociedad. Now, I will happily admit that I do not follow Spanish football and have never heard of him. He is reputed to be the "next Cesc Fabregas" and available for only £2 million or so. Can anyone tell me anything about him and whether the reports linking him to MUFC might be true?
Mike B.

Believable22 Unbelievable8

Great news we need more Pardo (e)'s

Agree0 Disagree0

He looks a decent prospect real madrid were reported to be looking at him but he's only 20 a Prospect at best surely

Agree0 Disagree0

For £2m where is the risk. could be the next michu

Agree0 Disagree0

It's okay saying the next Michu but for every Michu there has been 100 flops for that price. £2mill doesn't sound a lot in football terms but we need to concentrate all our resources in some much needed areas. Has needed addressing for some time. Left wing, midfield etc

Ed's out of di Maria, cr7 and bale who is the most probable we will sign.
Thanks, Dave {Ed004's Note - Di Maria imo}

Paul Scholes is being lined up by Pep Guardiola to join him as part of the coaching staff at Bayern Munich

Personally I think that is an excellent idea. He would learn loads over there which he could bring back and use to help us with in a few years time. I doubt he'll go though as he is a family man and wouldn't want to up root his kids.

Agree0 Disagree0

Complete rubbish, why would he go to Germany and work under Pep? Paul Scholes is dubbed by the best players in the world as the best and most complete midfielder in history, don't think there is much he needs to learn to be honest.

He said in his interview with Gary Neville that he quite likes the idea of becoming a manager and "teaching football the way it's meant to be played"

Ozwald

Agree1 Disagree0

He has nothing about playing football to learn (apart from maybe tackling). But he has a great deal to learn about coaching, and as he has never experianced anything outside of United in his playing career then I think coaching abroad would teach him a great deal.

Lets not be ignorant and think that the United way is the only or best way to teach/train players. There is a lot to be learned from other cultures and other teams. Especially from a team in the champions league final and possibly the best club side in the world on current form.

Like I said, I don't think he would go due the family reasons. But I think he should if the oppertunity turns up.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is most likely to go to Oldham as he is a bigs latics fan. He hates being away from his family to so Munich is a no go

Agree0 Disagree0

Munich is only a couple of hours flight away. Its not that far. Travelling back and forth is not that much of a problem, several friends of mine commute weekly between Grrmany and Britain.

Scholes will take a part time role at a club to train him self up at utd or oldham devoting his spare time to family

Agree0 Disagree0

Tackling Classes right? Unbelievable some of these rumours

Agree0 Disagree0

Complete rubish. He is so manchester orientated and family orientated, he will not be moving to germany to get coaching experience.

Really hope the Fabregas rumours are true, Eds do you believe there is any substance to them?
Thanks,
Paul {Ed007's Note - Sorry Paul, I can't see Fabregas leaving Barca any time soon.}

Believable3 Unbelievable31

He would prefer London!

Apparently Real Madrid are interested in Isco. Would be a shame cause he's a player we need/want.

Believable30 Unbelievable14

How do you know we want Isco? He plays a very similar position to Kagawa.

Ozwald {Ed004's Note - No Isco plays out wide left and comes inside whereas Kagawa is better starting off inside}

Agree4 Disagree0

An attack line of isco kagawa and one of Rodriguez/lamela/reus would be perfect in behind Rvp

19JackC94

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah his preferred position is to play more central though and you often find him in most games playing through the middle, he can play out wide left much better than kagawa. When he first turned up at Malaga Santi Carzola was already in that role so Isco was played out wide!

Anyway the point I was trying to make was how the original poster knew he's a target for us.

Today's press reporting we are interested, again, in Benzema. Same report says Rooney and Fabregas off to PSG. Rooney to earn £15m pa, after tax!
I really hope we don't chase Benzema, he didn't want to come tows a few years ago and he's not really been great at Real Madrid.

Believable25 Unbelievable11

That must be some wage as I think tax in France is about 75%
Or maybe it's not true
Jred

Agree1 Disagree0

Perhaps it would be paid through Amazon or Google!

Agree1 Disagree0

Lol, that might be the next tax loop hole
Jred

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not been great? in his 2nd and 3rd season he scored 26 and 32goals and a lot of assists
this season it was just the 19goals but still got 20 assists
87 goals and 45 assists in the last three seasons is great especially since Ronaldo would be the one being supplied most of the goals rather than Benzema

honingstein just reported lewy has told dortmund he will only sign for bayern, scratch him off, we will not b signing him.
mick the red fireman.

Believable28 Unbelievable6

Honingstein knows as much as us mate, its all just mind games before CL final
Chris the REDman

Agree0 Disagree0

Redman is right, plus Lewandowski has suggested he wanted to move to the Premier League and specifically Manchester United before so we may have a chance.
