"{Editor's Note: If I had to commit to the most likely I would put Ren?© Adler ahead of Manuel Neuer.}"

@Neuer will sign for Bayern, everyone knows it, its going to get a bit ugly but hes certainly going to get his own way.

Ed what do you think of Adler? I have heard he would only cost around 6m too.

Sydney!

{Editor's Note: Either would be an excellent and reliable way forward.}

I don't think Adler is good enough at crosses to be a success in the Premier League.

2 years ago he was the best young keeper in Germany but since then Neuer developed a lot more and became a very comlpete and modern keeper whereas Adler stagnated.

I think if we go for a talented Goalkeeper then we'll take a chance with DeGea, who looks a lot calmer and assured in the penalty box in comparison to Adler.

@But do you agree that Jan to May then June to August is probably not enough time to make a decision on him? Could Van Der Sar be kept on til January?

Its a toughie isn't it?

@I have a funny feeling if Lindegaard is good enough to be our number one we may target Tim Krul of Newcastle to be our number two.

Editor do you think Tim Krul could be a decent number two?

Sydney!

{Editor's Note: Sure, but would he want to be a number 2 in the future?}

@He's happy to be number two at Newcastle, maybe he would relish a dual with Lindegaard for the number one spot? Of course its all dependent on whether Lindegaard impresses enough. Personally i believe he was bought as a back-up keeper.

What is your thoughts on it Ed, will Lindegaard get enough games between Jan & May? I am not so sure and i know Fergie will want to avoid another goalkeeping fiasco like between 1999 & 2005. Why not buy two top keepers and then we are safe, Lindegaard and either De Gea, Stekelenburg or Akinfeev for me, personally i think Neuer will go to Bayern.

Whats your thoughts Ed?

Sydney!

Manchester United Rumours
My guess for next season in terms of transfers would be:

GK: -De Gea (20m Euro) : Ferguson personally watched De Gea in a Valencia game together wie Eric Steele (our GK Coach). I have no doubt that he also had some personal talks with him and Valencia about the player. Even spanish insiders think that a transfer of De Gea to United is very likely.

CM: -Rodwell/Henderson: I know from very good sources that we had some talks about Henderson with Sunderland and are very interested in getting him for next season. Rodwell is another possibility as we tried to sign him at the end of last season and Ferguson is very stubborn if he really wants a certein player.

Winger: -Sanchez: We scouted him often enough and even his agent mentioned that we are very interested. His physical attributes also suit the premier league. Overall a player of SAFs liking as he plays without fear and never stops trying.

Sold:
-Gibson
-(Owen): little chance that he is sold in january
-DeLaet
-Chester
-Eikrem (in january)
-Diouf
-PIG

- - - - - - - - - - -

So United 2011/2012 will be:

- - - - - - - DeGea- - - - - - -
Rafael- -Ferdinand- -Vidic- -Evra
- - NewCM/Carrick- Anderson- -
Sanchez- - - - - - - - - - Nani
- - - - Berbatov- Rooney- - - -

1st Backup GK: Lindegaard
1st Backup RB: O'Shea
1st Backup LB: Fabio
1st Backup CB: Smalling
1st Backup CM: Fletcher/Scholes
1st Backup RW: Valencia
1st Backup LW: Cleverley/Giggs
1st Backup ST: Hernandez/Welbeck

Players promoted to the first team: Morrison, Pogba

Would be a very good squad with a lot potential and key signings in our "weaker" areas on the pitch.

Players promoted to the first team: Morrison, Pogba

Would love to see this team in the Carling Cup next season:

- - - - - Lindegaard/Amos- - - -
Brown- -Smalling- -Evans- -Fabio
- - Carrick/Fletcher- -Pogba- - -
Obertan- - - - - - - - - Morrison
- - - - W.Keane- Welbeck- - - -

Lots of young players but also enough experience with Carrick/Fletcher, Brown and Lindegaard.

""You guys are all saying that Lindegaard will be the number 2, Well answer me this why would he sign for us to sit on the bench when he could of signed for Milan as the number 1! Most likely be on a higher wage and be in a better country? and before anyone says it's because he wants to work with Fergie, The reason we get knocked back a lot compared to Arsenal, Liverpool, Real, Barca, etc is because most players DO NOT want to work with with Sir Alex, he's way to stubborn but because we're winning people don't see it. I love sir Alex as a manager and i think he's in the top 5 best in the world but i don't blame players for not signing for us.

I believe we'll promote Amos to number 2 and Lindegaard will be the number one, or Van Der Sar may sign another year and rotate with Lindegaard.""

@Did your electric go off yesterday? Sir Alex has confirmed that this will be VDS's final year although he will offer him a coaching role. Ben Amos is nowhere near ready to be a number two, he's years away from that, he is useless at coming for crosses, he gets nutmegged every time he concedes. He is nowhere near ready to be our number two, not even close, he is far too inexperienced. Kusczczak is off in the summer so a keeper WILL be signed, whether its to be our number two or our number one depends on how well Lindegaard will do between now and May, but i expect Fergie not to mess around after the last fiasco trying to replace Schmeichel so i think he will sign a top keeper.

Lindegaard is a United fan, he played for a club which is on par with Carlisle United in terms of quality, the league in Norway was awful. This is why he signed for United. Umm United or Aalesund? big decision! He joined to be our number two Moon, he didn't know VDS was retiring at the end of the season, as far as he was concerned he was joining United as our number two behind VDS. Milan were never interested its what his agent made-up to hurry United into signing him.

What WONT happen imo and 99.99% of other United fans is Kuszczak will leave, with Ben Amos becoming our number two & VDS being our number three. If United was not going to buy another jeeper then why sell Foster?

Two players could be bought in the summer as well as maybe a marquee signing. The marquee signing could be Jack Rodwell from Everton. The other two players could be a goalkeeper, most probably David de Gea from Atletico and the second could be a young creative midfielder and Mario Gotze could be the player. Weleck and Cleverley to stay on loan but to be recalled in the summer. Owen and Hargreaves to be released in the summer and Evans and Gibson may go on loan in January, with their futures considered in the summer. With Lindegard signed Kuszczak will be sold in the summer and possibly Diouf as well. Neville and Vandersar will certainly retire.

Sanchez will not be signed! I'll put my house on it!
When Valencia Returns Nani will go back onto the left flank, Then you have the likes of Park, Obertain, Bebe, (maybe) Giggs and Cleverley as well. We don't need Sanchez, he's a good young player but it just isn't going to happen.

For the same reason as Sanchez Bale won't be signed either.

Who will we sign? I don't have a clue, I doubt De Gea will sign, or any other Keeper for that matter.

You guys are all saying that Lindegaard will be the number 2, Well answer me this why would he sign for us to sit on the bench when he could of signed for Milan as the number 1! I believe we'll promote Amos to number 2 and Lindegaard will be the number one, or Van Der Sar may sign another year and rotate with Lindegaard.

We may sign another CB, Just as a cover player but it seems unlikely with Brown, O'shea, Smalling and Evans all as cover.

We won't replace Scholes, why should we? We never replace players with like for like. Keane left we bought Carrick and Hargreaves, Ronaldo left we bought Valencia a more defensive winger, although you can't replace Ronaldo.

We may buy another Centre Mid but i doubt we'll buy anyone for the first team, Maybe Henderson, but i think Bruce would say no because he doesn't get Welbeck. I was told we're interested in Albrighton but he players as a winger so i doubt we'll sign him.

The scholes 'repacement' or the man who will be playing instead of Scholes will be a rotation of Carrick and Anderson.

The Moon.

@Mario Gotze may cost us just 8m but our main threat is City, City have been scouting Mario just like United's scouts have been. You would think we would both have deals of 8m accepted then he would choose who to sign for but City are devious and will offer him a large signing on fee, they will offer him ridiculous wages for someone of his age and recognition.

*I would like to think that he has some sense about him. He obviously has standards if he is reluctant to leave his boyhood club just yet. That shows loyalty. However if he did leave he strikes me as the type of level headed lad that looks at Uniteds history, looks at our record for giving young players a chance and the fact that we are still challenging year in year out. If I were a young up and coming player then I know I'd prefer a club with tradition that a big fat paycheck. Especially when he would hardly be on a pittance at United.

I have'nt posted for a long time, but one of the last things i posted was that Manchester United representatives and Luka Modric's representatives met in London last Dec(09) whilst Modric was injured. (not a rumour, this did happen) I don't know what the outcome of the meeting was entirely but I was told by the person I got the info from that he did'nt think a deal would happen at the time. Spurs have since qualified for the champions league maybe making a deal unlikely even now. It is clear though that Fergie covet's him and we know he can wait a long time to get his target's like with Hargreaves & Van Nistelrooy.
Personally I think it could happen if Spurs don't qualify for CL in the summer. What do you think ed?
I can also see a big bid for Bale £30 million-ish like for Rooney if he's interested in coming.
Fergie will pay big money for someone if he thinks their worth it.

With Ferguson being given £50 million to spend k expect to see 3 maybe 4 new faces arriving at the club. Now that Rafa has left Inter i would expect Sanchez to move to us for approximatly 20 million. I think we will strengthen in central midfield (glad to see Anderson playing well btw). Gundogan/Marin or possibly sneijer although this is pretty unlikely i must say. Marin and Gundogan both younger than he is as well so they would be better additions to the squad.

Difficult to say what keeper will be signed, neuer looks to be heading to Bayern. Other options would be Akinfeev, De Gea - however i have heard that United are intersted in a young goalkeeper from Spain, about 23 years old - can't remember from which club!

I think that will wrap up our business for this year, can't see big names such as Bale, Dzeko, Modric moving to the club, but Fergie as always will pull something out the bag and find a great new talent like he did with Ronaldo!

@Actually he will cost a maximum of 8m, he has an 8m buy-out clause.

Sydney!

Even if this clause would exist (i doubt it) G??tze wouldn't leave the club.

@That's fair enough and i can only praise him for his loyalty but i was just clearing up that he will not cost at least 20m, as he will cost a maximum of 8m as that is what his release clause is.

United would pay this buy 30-40k a week on his first contract but City would storm in and pay him 80k a week plus a 3m cash bonus, it will bite them in the @pse when the FFP rulings come in but they really don't care about this right now.

United really has to do something special to get this guy. He plays for the current leaders of the Bundesliga and is one of their most important players with only being 18 years.

He is identified as the biggest talent in Germany (more talented than ?ñzil or other talented players from the good current crop of german footballers) for a long time.

In terms of style he plays in a similar way like Nasri, just in case some people don't know him. Currently he plays on the wings for Dortmund but is also able to play behind a striker or in front of 2 more defensive minded cm's in central midfield.

I don't think he is suited for central midfield in a 4-4-2 because he has a quite thin frame. But in the more physical Bundesliga he didn't have to much problems and is also quite good in winning the ball despite his slight frame.

That said i don't think he will leave Dortmund in the next few years. He is a modest person and a Dortmund fan himself. He would also cost at least 20m.

Just thinking could this Sanchez rumour be a smokescreen for a Bale bid?

well mate it could be or sanchez could be a back up plan if the bale bid fails. we will bid for bale but sanchez looks more likely as hes cheaper and bale is possibaly spurs best player and they don't need the money so what im saying is sanchez is probaly coming in.

Have just heard in the last few hours that our replacement for Giggs should be Gareth Bale. I'm told that we won't try for him until the summer though as giggsy will be signing on for one more season to help the transition of Bale. If we do not succeed in our attempt for Bale then Alexis Sanchez will be our main priority for the left wing/attacking midfield role. Also Goal Keeper targets are in the following order David De Gea (in my opinion this will be our new number one unless say man city real or barca come in for him) (we have already activated his buyout clause so unless he signs a new contract or another club activate his buyout clause and he prefers them then he will be ours in the summer) if not then Lloris or Stekelenberg are our main targets. From the person who first posted about Rafa Benitez being sacked four days ago
