United have made an enquiry about Joey Barton, this is true, but are yet to make a formal offer Fergie has been having him monitored over the past few months (on & off the field, as he did with Chris Sutton years ago) to see how his getting on with his "anger issues" can't make my mind up about this deal. For a few million maybe it's worth the gamble?

Hes only signed a contract extension so his value goes up and newcastle can ask for more money i reckon its a brilliant signing if we get him when barton retires pogba and morrison will be ready for 1st team plus i know hes a bad boy with anger issues but so was keane and cantona and look how wll they did

Keane and Cantona were not bad boys in the way Barton is. Please don't compare them.

Personal opinion - there is 0% possibility that United are looking at Barton.

As a striker or left sided attacker i'd imagin. i can't see him playing in goal. lol. I'd take it with a pinch of salt but wouldn't rule it out.

He had 11 goals in 36 appearances and thats in the Serie A and Europe.. At 27 he's younger than Berbatov but he isn't a formidable replacement.

That was in a roma side that didn't play to his strengths which is why they are prepared to sell him. i like him as a player and feel he could do well for us. but if i'm honest i'd prefer Hulk or Podolski

Yeah I'm not saying he's a bad player or wouldn't be a good addition to the squad but yeah I agree Hulk would be a better but more expensive option.

Mate Hulk is so over rated, hes strong yes and pretty skillfull for a big guy but just shoots from everywhere goin and his decision making is awful

The Frenchman is reportedly willing to leave the Gunners for free after the upcoming campaign, and is thought to have told his team-mates that he will not sign a new contract.

This is the reason SAF said he is happy with the squad, and hence ruled out any attacking midfielder signing.He knows he is going to get Nasri next season for free.

He might give Anderson lots of chances this season.

We are looking a bit lofty up top, Macheda, Welbeck.Berb, Hernandez, Rooney, Owen etc. Can we see some departures?

I think Macheda loaned to a prem club, although he has impressed me in pre season.... Welback looked handy vs Chicago Fire and is good cover for left wing, and owen has just signed a new contract. I wouldn't be shocked if berba left though...

I'm expecting bye Berb especially after SAf raved about him the other day. Sounded like a sales pitch.

If berba was to leave then I would see it as a good move for both parties as we need to move fwd not backwards and it also means we have a bit of money to spend.

I'd like to see Vucinic at the club, he's in his prime and offers an experianced alterantive to our young up and coming strikers. He can also play left wing or on the left of a front 3 so he has versitility as well. Talk of Roma wanting Berbatov, Swap deal maybe? I don't think we'll get the money we want for him but this way we get a good replacement for him and don't lose him on a free next year.

Please let this deal happen. Vucinic is class, strong, pace and good finisher. Player I've wanted us to get for a while and if we can get rid of slow the game down let the other team get back in position Berbatov in the meanwhile then bonus.

Interesting, I like the player. How old is he 27/28? Makes him at least 3 years younger than Dimi. 17 million euros sounds a good price if we can get 12+ mill for Berba. How reliable is this Italian source though?

Snjeider wants the move Fergie wants the move so its a win win for both. Also Inter want rid as they need to reinvest in the squad. Its been taking along time due to the price being originally quoted.

Fergies comment about no more signings is just to fend off interes from clubs like City who are after Utds targets. Everythign will be done on the quiet. Look at Phil Jones that one surprised us all at how quick and fast it was done.

Alternatively, Fergie could be waiting till next summer to sign Nasri for free.

Much as we heve Morrisn and Pogba in the future, we surely need an AM just now.

The Times are running a story that Utd are about to make an offer for Joey Barton. I have not read the article because the Times website requires a subscription and I'm too much of a tight apse. I hope there is no truth in this particular rumour.

She currently does both in Europe and America. Also they are looking for a house in Cheshire but at Sneijders request a flat in London that will be used mostly by his wife. The deal is already done.
