Adebayour off to Real Madrid on loan, with an option to buy in summer.

When was the last time Real Madrid or any team of their stature loaning a player? A long time ago me thinks. .

@in response to this I believe two seasons ago real Madrid made the huge loan signing of julian faubert of west ham! They loaned him for 6 moths whilst paying the hammers £1.7m I believe. Ridiculous!

Good point but saf has a knack of selling average players for high amounts and think he could do it again. I hope so cause would love to see Adam playing in utd shirt

Ed, are you surprised about this £52M bid for Aguero and Godin? It wasn't reported, at least to my knowledge, in the media prior to this.

Also, does this mean the David Luiz thing hasn't worked out. They surely can't have been going for two CBs?

Finally, it's clear that Abromovich hasn't fallen out of love with the club, as some papers were reporting.

Not a rumour just a thought what do you think ed about utd making a cheeky move for Charlie Adam. Saf was very impressed with him in his post match comments and IMO he ran the game today and reckon £5m plus Gibson could get him

City just sent adebayor to real madrid , if we had the money we should move for benazma . is that not a good shout ed . then again he might not be value for money . {ed's note - not a hope in hell they will let him go, they have only got him and Adebayor to play up front.}

@But this leaves RVN to come home for one more season. With Rooney not playing well, he could be our saviour!

Daniel Drinkwater has been recalled not only because he was not playing but Southampton want him as part of the Oxlade-Chamberlain deal. Arsenals bid has forced Utd's hand and they hope to sit down with Chamberlains representatives this weekend after the cup game. £7m now and the rest in add ons plus Drinkwater and maybe another player on loan.

@Mate it's not about the fee, it's about where he wants to go to further his career. £10m is the fee being talked about by Arsenal therefore that will be the fee for us too. Its a case of convincing AOC and his father to join United. This is why Arsenal made their move yesterday, they want him to be an Arsenal player before United visit Southampton on the weekend.

I said this a month ago, Fergie, Rooney, Rio, Vidic etc will all speak to AOC before and after the game and if that is not enough to convince him then nothing will. Its all about hoping we get a chance to speak to him before Arsenal wrap up the deal. Arsenal are a little worried hence the reason they have made their move NOW.

Just imagine adding AOC to this lot; Morrison, Pogba, Moller, Tunnicliffe, Van Velzen, Keane & Cofie. Frightening imo. I still think Arsenal are strong favourites for his signature but I think we will have a very good chance if Arsenal have not signed him by the weekend.

You do know that they can extend these same bonds don't you? My point is that when they have maximised the value and revenue, they will sell, and i don't see them increasing it considerably after 2017 or so.
