Ed, what are the chances of a) us making a bid for Juan Mata, and b) if we did make the bid, actually landing him? He seems to be the perfect foil for Rooney and Chicharito. He's more than capable of setting goals up, and scoring too! Plus, he keeps the balls incredibly well in the middle, and could release Hernandez all day long with his clever through balls! GOD I HOPE HE COMES!

Ed what are the chances of us signing Gonso from santos as AC have just signed Shaarawy??? How much would Gonso cost {Ed002's Note - Ganso has his heart set on AC Milan, but Milan have a non-EU quota issue if they are to sign him. The quota's can be increased by borrowing from other teams in exchange for players on loan - which seems to me like it should not be allowed, but it is. Chelsea are keeping a watching brief as they continue their long term interest. Inter Milan and Barcelona have also shown an interest in the player. Very little chance if any.}

I heard from a reliable source that we are probably going to sign Barcelonas Thiago, and are also looking at Benfica's Left back/winger Coentrao.

Also it appears we have missed out on Varane as he will join Barcelona.

This was found on another site and seems to sum up the Sanchez saga pretty well:

I've said many times that I'd love to see him at United. In my opinion he's the best player in the world who's not already at a 'big' (for lack of a better word) club.

If everything panned out as you suggested (£38m-£40m + Nani for Sanchez + Sneijder) I'd be happy (although I'm not overly keen on Sneijder). Sanchez for £30m would be a steal - but I fear it will be Barcelona who end up making the deal.

according to Sky Sports Wigan could've gotten De Gea on loan two years ago.hmmm....interesting.i mean if they did get him and he did good they could've got him permanently and we wouldn't get him. rumour rock.

United are supposed to be considering replacing a player like Scholes, but with Hargreaves being released and the way we went down against Barca, it is apparent that they lack a dynamic ball winner, who leads by example.

I think it is all a smokescreen, we are actually looking to replace Roy Keane.

All of our wingers have the flexibility to play advanced central roles, with Valencia offering a challenge to Fletch, Anderson, Jones and Carrick in the middle.

i keep reading wot good players diouf and cleverly r but i dont see either of them being great players if they were'nt allready man u players i dont think anyone on this site would be posting we should buy them 2 young lads from wigan & blackburn

Ed; what is your opinion that scholes replacement is already playing for the reds?.Scholes started as a forward for united then dropped to midfield, could rooney do the same job if so is sir alex looking to buy a striker, someone like benzema? {Ed002's Note - I believe Rooney could do just that, and we have seen him do it in the past.}

Diego looks like the "Mutts Nuts" and for suggested £10mill would be a steal. I know he comes with baggage but who is better than dealing with players than SAF. With the amounts quoted in excess of £30mill for Modric and Schneider this guy looks every bit as good and a 1/3rd of the price .Got to be worth a punt and leaves more money for another player! Ed?

A question for The Moon.

If Diouf is brilliant like you say he is then why since he he made his debut in 2009 has he only played a total of 7 games for Senegal ???

He is 23 so not a kid anymore and with all due respect to senegal I dont think they are exactly blessed with top quality strikers to be holding him back.

He got a full season with blackburn and didnt show much of the brilliance you speak of, granted they play the long ball and he was played out wide mostly but he only scored 3 and assisted 1 surely a brilliant player given the opportunity with a lesser club to show his worth would contribute more no ????

Im not saying he cant make it and I genuinely hope he does do well for us I just feel you are slightly exaggerating the guys abilities.

Can someone tell me if this Izaguirre from from Celtic is a left back/wing back or a left sided midfielder? Cant see why we'd be in for him if he is a left back not with avin Evra & Fabio already. Pat Evra didnt av his best season last term but i still wouldnt swap him for another left back on the planet. An Fabio really impressed me at the back end of last season. If he does go for him im hoping it spells the end for O'Shea, Evans & Brown (non of em good enough) an hes just gettin him as cover. That Tom Thorpe really impressed me in the acadamy last year... hes definately another for the future.

Morning Ed002, Ed so does Dortmund not wanting sell Kagawa & Goetze mean nothing too? They are in a very similar position to Lille, are they not? Both qualified for CL, neither have money problems.

Dortmund don't want to sell the players and the players don't want to move. If a very high offer came in or the player declared their wish to move to another club then that would likely change things. Generally folk have expectations that vast numbers of players will come and go every summer. The reality is very, very different.}

@I suppose Hazard did say this time last year that he will give Lille another year and Lille agreed to let him leave this summer. But I have heard that Kagawa wants the United move. I think he would be more possible than Modric & Sneijder as he is younger, cheaper and will have a marketing advantage. I believe if Dortmund received a big enough offer, they could do business.

But I understand what you are saying Ed, Ed do you have any shocking possible transfers? Not necessarily United, anyone?

ed, there is no way hazard will be moving this summer, the lille president has already confirmed it.united already have young so will not need another winger. the focus is on a central midfielder and the prime contenders are modric and sneijder.

Hi ed, just wondering if u got any new rumours except than Young signing. Also i'm reading the over priced thing which i too agree. The main reason for that is man sh*ty. They pay foolish money & L'pool r following sh*ty's track. It should b stopped. Now back to the real thing. O'shea & brown leaving means a place to fill in RB. We need a experienced guy in this position, to help Rafael develop. Also we need Bebe, Evans, Gibson & Obertan to be loaned out. We need to sell berbatov & replace him with Benzema or Thomas Muller. Also for CM i personally wud prefer Schwiensteiger. If the deal falls out then we should go for either C.Eriksen or Wilshere. Also i think we should sell Kuzsack. For GK i would go for De Gea with Steklunberg. I also wud like to see Nani go to fund around £25m. Wijnaldum wud be his replacement. Ins: Gk- De Gea(p) or Steklunberg. Rb- Maicon & plz suggest a name, ed Cm- Eriksen, Wilshere, Schwienstieger(p) Wings- Wijnaldum St- Benzema, Muller(both ok). Also Cleverly & Welbeck to returm from loan.
