I have a funny feeling neuer will sign. The way fergie chased him makes me think that no deal done with Bayern. We could not have impressed him any more could we. Also Bayern fans protested and booed him in their recent game and shalke would want to sell abroad. We need to slap contract in his face next wed

The most important things first. Great result tonight. Valencia, Chicharito and Rooney in particular were incredible. Here's to a massive week and a half!

I also think your opinion is slightly motivated by the fact he is Welsh like yourself. He could even be from the same town as you?
My opinion is motivated by the fact he is an exciting player and I think he'd thrive at United. I like to see players that get get you on your feet playing at United. I'm not even from a town. I'm from a small village the opposite end of Wales to where Bale comes from. If you want to check with your Welsh mates you'll find out that us "Gogs" (North Walians) aren't overly fond of South Walians. I'm work in Robbie Savage territory and come from Neil Taylor territory. We're bit more English up here, ask Shawcross and Michael Owen, they lived nearby and felt so unWelsh that they declared themselves English. So no Bale's nationality isn't clouding my judgement. Although I really want Witsel or Defour and I have been to Belgium a few times so maybe my location does cloud my judgement on players.

Everyone demanding Neuer now should have watched his interview after the game. Asked if he was ever interested in a transfer to Manchester United, he said that they have never been an option for him.
He also said a few weeks ago that he doesn't want to leave Germany. Every journalist and expert says that his transfer to Bayern is done and dusted.
Just accept it and realize that De Gea would be an excellent option for us, too. And just for everything to know, Manuel Neuer wasn't as good as David De Gea when he was at the same age.

A deal for pastore is close to being completed when barca dropped out of the race.
nobody has really heard about fernandinho but if we could get him for 17 mil thay would be bargain.
douglas costa is also close to agreeing terms for an undisclosed fee belaived to be around 16 mil.(source:auntie, close friend of sir alex)
with the rumours saying chicharito is off to madrid and berba will be out, we will need a new striker and i think drogba could be a pottentiall bargain. He will only cost around 900k at tops

It was me that posted the Bale stuff (Mechagodzeala, hit send before signing off). It is not a case of "dragon tinted glasses" as you put it, nor was I saying he was better than Giggs as a player! I can't remember stating that we should spend £30 mil on Bale either, that's overinflated. I do think we should try and do a deal though. My point about Giggs was that based on performances for Wales alone he has been better than Giggs was for Wales. Bale is one of those players that when he gets the ball and starts running with it the crowd get on their feet. Watch some Spurs games and you'll see this is true. That is the kind of player Manchester United should have, it's the kind of player that does wonderful things at Man United and the kind of player who becomes a world beater at Man Utd.
As for Nani, he frustrates more often than not. For every great pass there are 4-5 moments when he overdoes things or is selfish and at least Bale's corners beat the first man eh? You can throw stats out there as much as you want with regards to assists but if that's the case then Berbatov is the best striker in the Prem based on a strikers main job of putting the ball in the net but he clearly isn't the best. Before you start I am a big fan of Berba and stuck up for him when Utd fans wanted rid.
Simple fact is Bale is one of the most exciting prospects out there. More so than Sanchez who you spent all summer harping on about Sydney and who you felt was worth 15-18 mil. Bale has twice the potential and a much better build for the Prem. Sir Alex would make Bale one of the best in the world.
I'd appreciate it if peoe didn't question my loyalty to United, especially not a Chelsea fan like Sydney!

Ok from what i have read we are being linked with ribery, nasri and sneijder, is there any truth in any of these?
sneijder said that united is a beautiful club but is happy at inter milan, and now the papers are saying sneijder hints at united move. .this isn't hinting at anything, that is like saying ronaldo is hinting at a move to barcelona by saying they are a dream team, so is there any truth in nasri, sneijder and ribery? ed, syd, gan?

I tend to watch quite a bit of Championat football, and have seen Varane play quite a few times. I think he would be an excellent buy, particularly for the price being touted, he has everything necessary to become a world-class player- physically strong and quick, mentally he seems calm and adjusted and technically good.

I know Chelsea have been linked to him, But Phil Jones from Blackburn would be a brilliant buy. The guy is a rock, Centre Back or Centre Defensive Midfield he can play anywhere. Would much prefer him over Rodwell. I'm not saying there is interest. but If you compare the 2. SAF plan for Rodwell is to start him as a utility man is Midfield playing that CDM role, and then dropping him back. but Jones would be much better.
