Sir Alex was at the St. Etienne game tonight. Watching Kurt Zouma possibly?

MPez

Believable42 Unbelievable2

M'villa plays for them doesn't he? {Ed004's Note - No Rennes}

Agree2 Disagree0

I believe there is concrete interest in Zouma from United.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a class player. In fact he is so highly rated at St Etienne that he player without his name on his shirt for his first ten games as they did not want scouts to know who he was. Gilly

Eds some reports saying that SAF was in France tonight watching Kurt Zouma, do you know of any interest? Apparently he's 17 and a defensive midfielder, could be a replacement for Pogba if we decide to make a bid?

cmd {Ed004's Note - I am not sure, sorry}

Believable24 Unbelievable3

He's more of a Center back

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a centre half is he not?

It is widely believed that Vidic was due to go to Real Madrid this summer if he hadn't been injured. I wonder what will happen next summer. Do we have anybody who can seriously step into his impressive boots. I AM KLOOT

Believable5 Unbelievable67

Widely believed? Believed by you maybe, but not by me.

Sydney!

Agree3 Disagree1

Widely believed by you but then again you know everything don't you!!!
ARB

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon this was the plan, it was all over the place until he got injured and we signed players in case that happened. With Rio probably finished next season I think we may go back in the market for another CD then, but I dont think Vidic will go now, he will finish at Utd.

Sween

Agree1 Disagree0

What a random post , he hadn't long signed a new contract , captain of the club but widely expected to leave haha some rumour

Dustbin

Agree1 Disagree0

Vidic to Madrid? Are you for real.? (no pun intended, well maybe a little but intended). Vidic says he is happy where he is.

Agree1 Disagree0

Vidic is overrated anyways.

We should go for Subotic.

Agree0 Disagree5

Don't lose sight of the fact that this team does not have many natural leaders. Vidic is a leader as well as a great defender, someone who you'd happily go to "war" with. We want to improve the leadership in the squad not weaken it. We also need stability as older players Giggs, Scholes and Ferdinand probably only have one year left. Vidic is essential to help lead and nurture the next generation. We need a replacement for Rio next year, that could be why SAF is scouting young French, English and Brazilian defenders.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope not it would be some pricey purchase but I think Hummels could easily replace

sparky

Believable6 Unbelievable10

He's due to arive in the next couple of days and will then presented as a United player .
Raffa

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't panic he will be a United player by Tuesday.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

The boy was getting his visa sorted. Should be in Manchester this week to complete his transfer.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you watched SAF Press conference on Friday he stated he had to return to Chile but will be back today Sunday and will be part of the first team squad he speaks very highly of this boy so fingers crossed

Is he not injured atm, I think I saw it posted here

Friend of mine says he got a contact, prob full of it, but he says united in for Markus hendriksen from a norweigian team? Just heard it, Apparantly he's young and built like a wall and plays cm

Believable9 Unbelievable23

He plays for Rosenborg, celtic were looking at him, not good enough for united

Agree1 Disagree0

Celtic tryin to buy this guy

Agree0 Disagree0

Man Utd trying to loan Macheda to Celtic. Macheda not good enough for Celtic

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't be true. I'm from Norway and he is not that good. Neither is he built like a wall. He has a powerful shot, but nothing more. He plays for Rosenborg btw.

Agree0 Disagree0

Markus Henriksen is set for a Move to Celtic when they qualify for the Champions League on Wednesday

Just quick to quash any rumours that the press have decided to make on the basis of the game yesterday.

Outgoings for a start: The following will not be sold contrary to what the press say: Anderson,Nani,Rooney.
Fergie fully justified why Wayne didn't start and isn't it funny how just because he was on the bench for a game after a woeful performance last week that for that very reason he must be being sold.

Nani, He picked up a slight knock in the game against Everton and was not risked, I was at the game at Everton and boarding the coach back after the game he had a large strapping on his calf obviously picked up in the game.

Anderson: Let me guess this right, in pre-season Fergie said how it was a big season for him and he knows it and we want him to make a big influence this season that we know he is capable of. And on the basis of the two games I would much rather have Anderson and Cleverley to Scholes, Carrick. Quick tempo of play helps young, valencia, kagawa,RVP etc to be able to break opponents down. He will be excellent this year if fit.

The only outgoings fergie was on about were the dead wood in the club. Berbatov,Macheda,Bebe, (Hate to say it but) Fletcher, and the players who have had their chance but have no chance of influencing our season.

Believable28 Unbelievable15

So naive ;)

Here here, on the money with ur post mate, was also not surprised to hear the press this morning blurt out more fairy tale sh** than usual with"Rooney being listed" just cos hes benched! I would love to be paid a jorno wage that these guys are getting just to speak a load of pants!!
Ren

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree with what you are saying apart from the part a out fletcher being a player who can't influence a game when on form he is quality for united just ashame what he is going through ATM hope he recovers

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree that Fergie was only talking about dead wood. Some may however choose to place Nani in that category.

MDJ

Agree1 Disagree0

Nani will be gone by the end of the window. Doesn't retain the ball enough or do the simple things well enough for the style of play we want. Far too inconsistent and with our game obviously all about possession his one run in ten that does anything productive means he is surplus. Hopefully Russia will come knocking with £20mil+ but I can't see anybody offering more than £15mil. He needs to be a big fish in a little pond, where they wont mind him giving the ball away all the time.

Anderson will be one of our key players this season.

Sween

Agree0 Disagree4

Seriously? We're all crying out for a ball-winning cm and you think we'e going to sell the one we have, who happens to be one of the best around, just because he will not be back for a couple more months yet? He could still feature for at least half the season. He's also been one f our best 3-4 players for several years running, and only stopped being one of our best as his illness finally got the better of him.

Thorne.

Agree0 Disagree1

Fletcher has been a quality squad player but nothing more. Anybody saying otherwise is just giving the sympathy vote in my opinion. I wish him well and I certainly think he can do a good job in certain tough games, Park style, but he isnt anything special and never has been. Great engine, good heart and good footballing brain, but he isnt a great ball winner, user or especially quick. Not the missing link for our DM difficulties. Jones will be that next season.

Sween

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like you got your argument Red Knight, not that I don't agree with your post

Meggzie1992

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney going is just the usual bullsh!t papertalk but Nani and Anderson need adding to your list of deadwood. They have had their chance and consistently failed to deliver.

United need midfielders who can come in now and improve the first team let alone the squad. Anderson and Nani are barely squad players if we are to mount a challenge on 4 fronts which should be our aim every season.

Talk of £25m for Nani is laughable. I think both players have an intrinsic higher value than they are actually worth due to what we paid for them in the first place but in terms of what they have produced on the pitch these are both, at best, £10m players. They still have years ahead of them of course and they may be better off elsewhere. They have had enough of a chance at United though over 5 seasons and just aren't good enough. They are now detrimental to have in the squad due to the 25man maximum for aged 21+ players hence its definitely time for them to go. If we could get any amount of cash for them it would just be a bonus.

apparently Berba has agreed terms with fiorentina now la viola just need to agree a fee with united. Fingers crossed. Also dembele has said he wants to move to a top club. Again fingers crossed. Mort

Hi guys sunderland fan here strong rumours that berbatov coming to sunderland any truth in that cheers lads,

He'd be available cheap, only problem might be his wages. He could do well for Sunderland.

Sir Alex Ferguson said in his programme notes yesterday that when he learns a player is looking at options elsewhere he'll help them out of the door at Old Trafford

i wonder if that is a dig at anyone?
jred

Believable19 Unbelievable1

I think he was referring to nani, i know nani doesn't want to leave but i think SAF was getting at his performances not being united standards.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

The only players i can think of is

Berbatov or Nani

Or is there someone else?

R 17

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL! I thought the same thing and then the absense of Nani from the squad seemed to speak volumes. I for one would happily pay his taxi fare to the airport.

MDJ

Agree1 Disagree0

He didn't do it with Rooney. Or maybe, just maybe, he was biding his time until he could get a suitable replacement. Lots of people here have not forgiven Wayne for what he did last year. However, I think any team chasing the PL and CL need 2 world-class strikers. It is an interesting comment though.

J Bones.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani was injured yesterday! Probably from having too many 'fans' on his back.. Wasn't he player of year a couple of seasons back?

Agree0 Disagree0

ONLY PLAYER WHO COME OUT AND SAY HE WANT OUT IS BERBATOV.SO I GUESS SIR ALEX WAS TALKING ABOUT HIM. NANI WANT TO STAY AT UNITED. SEC WE HAVE TO GIVE NANI A CHANCE TO ADAPT ON THE LEFT WING,HE ALWAYS LOOK GOOD WHEN HE PLAY AT RIGHT WING.HE NEED TO USED OF THAT POSITION.

FERDCOAST

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully it is both Nani and Rooney, they both fail to deliver enough and with so much of our play going through them - because they demand the ball so often even if in poor positions, we will be much better without. Rooney may be given one more chance, but he struggles getting fit and playing a rotation role with RVP means he is not going to be half as valuable come the end of next season. Sell him now whilst most still think he is world class.

Why I say one more chance for Rooney - he has hardly been a world beater for some time now and he held us over a barrel, since then been very hit and miss. The media love building him up because he is English and was the next big thing as a teenager, Joe Cole all over again - Joe Cole was found out quicker, or faltered quicker because he was being rotated at Chelski, same will likely happen with Rooney.

fullback

Agree0 Disagree0

It could be rooney because there is alot going on about him now and he basically didnt want to be there against everton, rooney is overated after all and clearly does not want to play for us deep down if so why did he want to leave, it was for the MONEY not for the football

Agree0 Disagree1

Personally I dont advocate the sale of Nani but for people who say 'Nani oozes class', guys 'Nani also oozes inconsistency'

One game he'll be like Ronaldo and the next 5 games he'll be a Rory Delap.

MUMBAI_BOY

Believable63 Unbelievable5

I think nani should be given the chance to continue. Since we all know he has the ability already, the question with him really is whether he will mature and improve in decision making.

Considering he has already grown considerably in these areas compared to 4 or 5 years ago, theres evidence to suggest he will. Added to that he has his best years ahead of him and is only approaching his peak. Why get rid of him unless we can sign someone of bale type quality?

Those who think the likes of gaitan or rodriguez are solutions should take a reality check. Both nani and anderson were in the exact same position as these guys when we signed them however many years ago. These newer prospects will have just as much chance of sucess vs failure as our current investments, and since nani at least, is by no means a failed experiment yet, we might aswell give him the same chance we would be giving rodriguez or gaitan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Now come on be fair m8 delap is half a decent player !

Agree0 Disagree0

The reality is that the guy is NEVER capable of playing like Ronaldo and more often than not he will make poor decisions and fade out of games. The odd goal in a 4-0 win means nothing! Every time he is on the right and Valencia isn't, we are not as good.

I am sick of the guy, I would say that Rooney is even more sick of him. The amount of times Roney loks at him as if to say 'are we playing the same game?' is unbelievable.

I hope he is being shown the door.

MDJ

Agree1 Disagree0

Like Ronaldo? must be joking. Ronaldo is the best player in the world and no team can afford to buy him and we would be lucky to get 20 million for him. He does not understand that given his pace he is suppose to get down the wing and put quality crosses into the box for strikers. He constantly piss...s around and actually hold up the ball and allows defenses to get their lines in order and is rubbish in crossing the ball. Useless and headless chicken.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hed be like rory delap without the throw-ins lol

If we sell nani does anyone thing we can get a replacement in time with only 5 days to go?

Ozzy

Believable21 Unbelievable19

We dnt need 2 replace him we got plenty of wide players RegTheRed

Agree0 Disagree0

IF Nani is sold, we will bring in a midfielder...the much-talked-about Witsel or Dembele would be a good bet. SAF likes to buy players after they perform well against Man Utd. We do not need a replacement, moreso because Danny W was deployed on the left hand side against Fulham yesterday.

DTDuff

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaitan=(Benfica), Isco=(Malaga), Rodriguez or Iturbe =(Porto) would be my choices. (TheInvisibleMan) {Ed004's Note - Muniain?}

HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

Why this massive hang up with other teams players......We could bid tons more than Chelsea and paid he's agent the world.....but he wanted LONDON!!!

Unless we ask to get the new Olympic Stadium.....forget Hazard......Manchester will always come a poor 2nd to London with regards lifestyle and location.

Agree1 Disagree0

G.A.G.U.S are you saying we weren't after Sneijder? It's a well known fact we tried to sign him multiple times even up until transfer deadline day. I was told we would sign him, I was wrong I'm man enough to admit that.

HERBIE
I said Fryer's Morrison and Pogba were off, they've all gone! I haven't said anyone else is off apart from the obvious Berba, Oshea etc. I did get Ashley Young wrong admittedly.

To be honest I'm not fussed if anyone believes me, just giving other fans a heads up of what I get told from time to time may be happening at United. Anyway can't be bothered with this site anymore as to be honest most the stuff posted on here is complete sh*t lol. Hector Herrera Jan 2013 ;-)

Why are people having to bash each other? It's all rumour. Do the same people spend their day writing to the tabloids to complain about everything they get wind of that doesn't come to fruition?

I for one hope that you are right and I think the absense of Nani yesterday prooves that you likely are.
