Mourinho has told Rooney to hand in a transfer request within 48hrs or they will go in another direction.

Believable37 Unbelievable7

Flint, you may be right but we all need to understand it doesn't matter what Rooney or Chelsea want, he can't move to Chelsea without United agreeing and that isn't going to happen in this window.

Agree1 Disagree0

Would b gutted if he handed in a transfer request after the reception he got tonight. Pure class from the United fans and Rooney responded. Anybody know if he thanked the fans at the end? Eds do ye still think we will sign felanni and bains
Cheers {Ed007's Note - Fellaini yes, Baines no. I don't think Utd would pay the money Everton are looking for.}

Agree2 Disagree0

I would not be in anyway surprised if he puts one in. Does not mean we will sell but he will be finished with the fans and his last bastion of supporters once he does that.

Agree0 Disagree0

007, I agree, especially without selling Evra too. If we received a good offer from Monaco and Evra was leaving we would pay what it takes to get Baines, but whilst Evra is still here it's simply too expensive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney can hand in the transfer request all he likes he still won't be going to chelsea, desperate and laughable attempt by Jose

Dustbin

Agree1 Disagree0

I'd still sell him.
How has one game changed anything about him? A transfer request put in again, comes back AGAIN unfit for start of the season, throws a paddy because he's not the main man, never has never will be.
We could get £40m for him if lucky, plus £250k a week off our wages!
We have two players who deserve more game time and that's Hernandez and Kagawa, they both offer great dimensions.
If we don't sell him now we won't sell till next year and we'll get half the amount for him.

Melwing28

Agree0 Disagree3

Very desperate and unprofessional by Mourinho. Rooney is class and he proved that again last night, he looked like he had a point to prove and long may it continue. There's no other player in world football like Rooney.

Agree1 Disagree0

Melwing he didn't come back this pre season unfit? Apart from any injuries which you can't blame him for a few people said it's the slimmest they've seen him in 5 years.

Agree3 Disagree0

Ed 007 do you not think Baines could play left side of midfield, alternating up and down flank with evra? Giggs was asked to come on at left wing for welbeck and moyes could only trust him there for 20 mins due to his age. Kagawa not naturally left sided, Young not good enough, Danny is a striker. we seem to be a bit light left side and there ain't many better left sided players who can cross a ball better than Baines. {Ed007's Note - He probably could play there but I still can't see Utd matching what Everton want for him.}

BALE?
Site about to go mad .

Believable27 Unbelievable43

Was an interesting interview after the game with moyes regarding bale

Agree1 Disagree0

I really hope we are not in for bale, especially at €100m. I would rather we offered €45m for Vidal and €55m for either fabergas or gundagon. We do not need another winger. It's cm and dm we need.

Agree4 Disagree0

Press interview afterwards moyes said we haven't bid, fellani and ozil are the ones I want

Agree1 Disagree0

After game press conference with journos United haven't bid for bale

thank f*ck for that

Agree1 Disagree0

So there was another interview stating we ain't in for bale?

Agree0 Disagree0

I bet there isn't another club interested in Bale. This is Levy's way of getting more money out of Madrid.

Agree1 Disagree0

There was no interview saying we are not in for Bale but Moyes did say we have not bid for Bale and said we will always go for the best players in the world so read what you want from it I still hope and any sane footie fan should hope we go for him to, there ain't much better out there and just because we sign Bale does not mean we won't sign others if he does go to Madrid then they will have spent close to 200m with only 45m back from transfers and we should be matching them buying the best we have been short changed for to long

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardoe you must be joking why would any team not want Bale if he is good enough for Madrid then he is good enough for anyone and you don't get the goals like Bale did in the prem from were he was playing unless you are world class and at 24 he has years of lighting up Old Trafford to offer and I Expect his best form are ahead of him so thank f*ck you for that you don't control our transfers lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Kate, there is zero chance of Bale. He will join RM in the next few days.

Agree3 Disagree0

Honestly saying, I would rather put in that money to try to re-sign Ronaldo. It's more likely to happen and if Madrid really do sign Bale for the reported 100m price tag then signing Ronaldo for around 80m would be a huge bargain!

Agree1 Disagree0

No reason for that. He wants to go to Madrid. just another unrealistic chase.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well one can hope can't they Sydney and I thought we looked good last night but just missed a bit of something Bale would give us if we had him last night we would of thrashed them and looked the part doing it I know what everybody is thinking that if Madrid sign Bale then Ronnie will come home but I don't think this is the case and we should be in for the best players we are United and you can't tell me the huge fan base we have should get short changed and not go for the best people saying all summer Strootman Garary to name a few there not top end world class players but Bale is so why not dream a little besides this is a transfer rumour page and there are rumours we are in for him so fingers crossed

Agree0 Disagree0

Bale won't be signing for us and neither will Ronaldo! The naivety of some people on this site amazes me sometimes.

Agree0 Disagree2

I can 100% say that MUFC ARE in for Bale. This news was passed onto me direct from an unbelievable source.

. None other than Brian Robson.

This is absolutely the truth.! {Ed007's Note - If he is an unbelievable source why do you believe him?}

Agree0 Disagree0

If madrid are involved its a waste of timing bidding as they are the biggest club in the world along with barca.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed007: Unbelievable that its come from him, not the validity of his information.! {Ed007's Note - Oh right, got you now. ;-)

Everton have been forced to make a bid for McCarthy due to Newcastle's interest in him, I think they may need to hurry and sell Fellaini.

Believable35 Unbelievable12

Have they bid for him now? I expected it but not until they had sold Fellaini, maybe we are closer to signing him than we think.

Agree0 Disagree1

Hopefully it won't spell the end of Rooney! He was making a big point tonight, looking as hungry as ever! Shooting from range and winning the ball on his own touch line! Apart from Carrick only player who can make space and play a decent forward attacking ball! Just hopefully he impressing the United camp and not the Chelsea 1

rumours/banter from the irish side of the water;

Rooney was for sale but to a foreign side only, both utd and especially rooney are surprised no top euro team came in for him. While chelski is his preferred choice, he was expecting bids from Bayern, psg and real, or at least that's what his agent was saying.
utd could put in a bid for sevilla's kondogbia now that they have signed mbia from qpr.
fellaini isn't/wasn't first choice but is seen as a plan b or c. They have been offered khedira and ozil, but they want modric. no interest at all in khedira.
From what I hear from a few everton fans, there is no way they will sell baines, if fellaini is sold then they will sign McCarthy from wigan.
Gerry Armstrong saying we and arsenal in for di maria.

all above only rumours so don't shoot the messenger, imo the most likely to happen is no one new in with youngsters promoted.

Believable11 Unbelievable25

Maybe it shows how his attitude sucked b*lls last year maybe like today he will get with it

Some spanish Journalist reporting we are about to put a 45 million euro bid for Ozil. I would be very surprised if we offered that kind of money although a great little player. I would rather hijack spurs bid for lamela, which looks like 30 million euros.

Either way if true looks like young or Nani will be moved on either prior to the window closing this summer or in January.

Believable12 Unbelievable39

We haven't offered more than 30m for febregas, who by some eds has motivated us to bid for him, and who is also a premier league success. so do u really believe this story?

Agree0 Disagree1

Ozil is available at £38 million it seems, so rumors are that we are going to under bid again and go in at £30 million. I wish we would just give Madrid £38 million, have it accepted and then take it from there. Sometimes you can't negotiate and you just have to cough up the fee.

Agree2 Disagree1

We know it's Nani Shahram mate. It's pretty obvious.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fresh

I think 38 million is far too high and like all clubs what you want and what you get for a player is a matter of opinion.

In this case I believe they need to move on players and forced to do some deals so 30 million is still a lot for a player that they paid 14 million for.

I personally would prefer Modric as he plays more central and a great distributor in midfield and can bring the best out of Kagawa, which imho is suffering due to lack of quality midfielders around him.

Another story doing the rounds is that there is a second club now in the running for bale and it might be United. I hope it is not true as we would be nuts to pay 70 million for him and if there was any truth to it, I would rather put a 70 million offer on table for Ronaldo and see if he pushes for a transfer :)

Truly the silly season and this week will be quite an interesting week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is there another team or is it his agent or spurs stirring things to get a better deal?! I just want us to sign someone significant! This week will be interesting!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not often but I disagree with Shahram on this. I much rather Ozil than Lamela but haven't seen a lot of him to be honest

Agree0 Disagree0

Patzi

Ozil is a class player but Lamela at 21 is very talented but obviously not as polished as Ozil in terms of decision making and passing and if we can get him for 20 million less, it might turn out to be better value but not a sure thing as Ozil would be.

Out of all the left sided players out there who have huge potential to be stars in a few years, Draxler and Lamela for me are the 2 to watch out for. Willian is also an interesting player but have not seen enough of him but whenever I have watched him he has been a handful for most teams with good defenders.

Agree0 Disagree1

I would love us to get ozil really like him, also a big fan of draxler

Agree0 Disagree0

He doesn't like to play out wide he knows even though he can do a good job there, he knows he is an AM and that's where he would want to play. He is in the same situation as Kagawa. I think his move is depends on Rooney staying or leaving.

Mourinho's latest swipe at Moyes and Fergie (not playing him vs Real) has not gone down too well with Manchester United board. Rooney meanwhile has not stopped pushing for a way out.

Fellaini is a certain after he told Martinez that he hopes to go.

Real Madrid have to sell after Bale deal but Moyes wants Modric while Real want to sell only Ozil.
DiMaria is also on the cards but selling Ronaldo is against it as he wants to play centre and has requested Real to keep the winger.

A mate of mine is one of the chairmen of the Irish utd supporters club, during a lengthy chat he told me the talk amongst his mate's is Ozil will b our main arrival and possibly only one. Also Mourinho FC have signed Eto and won't go back in for Wazza and Buttner will be let go(don't know if that's loan or not).
They are also suggesting that all is not well on the relationship side between Moyes and Woodward and that's why he came home early from the tour. Cannot promise this is true or how informed but they do seem to know their stuff, just thought I would share the info. Any insight from the eds?

Believable22 Unbelievable46

To be honest i'd be more than happy with our transfer dealings if we managed to get Ozil & Fellaini, even if we missed out on a LB (but if we managed to get those 2 and perhaps Coentrao i'll kiss Ed Woodward on his big balding head!)

Agree3 Disagree1

Sounded plausible until you gave reasons for EWs return. Doubt he would come home in a strop.

Agree2 Disagree0

Woodward does seem a bit of a tool.

Agree1 Disagree0

DHK - Woodward is a bit of a tool? What we basing this on then? The fact we've not signed anyone, or have you met him?
