Rumour I heard if Ronaldo's contract talks broke down DDG and 35m for Ronny, probably something off personter who knows

We can all dream

Believable3 Unbelievable43

Not sure Ronaldo would be any good in goal though

Agree2 Disagree0

Why sell DDG? And then buy who to replace him?
I don't think Ronaldo will be coming back and I would prefer to see us spending the money on Bale, he's younger and improving. Ronnie is world class but he will be 29 soon and I can't see us spending that kind of money on him.
Sell Rooney, get Bale and Lindawski will be good business.

Happy 40th Birthday Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

Believable76 Unbelievable9

At that age he should still be playing!

Apparently Lewandowski has declared he wants to leave Dortmund in the Summer. As much as I like him as a player I'm not sure I would replace any of our strikers, maybe Welbeck.

Believable27 Unbelievable8

De ja vue? Welbeck who's been at the club since he was 9? Ya no thanks I'd rather keep him.

Ozwald

Agree3 Disagree3

Welbeck has been magnificent for the last two months getting better every game would never sell him

Agree4 Disagree4

England international aswell

Agree3 Disagree1

We would need Lewandowski if we didn't have RVP. He is also the perfect heir to RVPs throne. However we don't need him now and RVPs downfall won't happen any time soon. I don't see Lewandowski here at all, the squad would be overly saturated.

Fresh!

Agree2 Disagree0

He's better than all our strikers bar Van Persie. Wouldn't be happy sitting on the bench though like Welbeck and Hernandez. If we sign him Rooney is definitely on his way.

Agree0 Disagree2

I'd get rid of Welbeck in a heartbeat he will never be a goal scorer in my opinion, would you want Utd to buy him if he were at any other club?

Thats the way to tell if he's anygood {Ed004's Note - I agree, Welbeck will never be a goal scorer or it looks unlikely anyways, however, I feel having the likes of Welbeck, Cleverley, Jones etc differs us from City. These players will keep a very good squad moral and when called upon will battle for the badge something every team needs imo. That's why I am reluctant to sell him but the idea of Lewandowksi and RVP along with Rooney and Hernandez as options up top is frightening.}

It would do no harm to have an abundance of class strikers, provided indeed he is this bargain at £12mil. I have seen Lewy numerous times and really like what I see. Rooney to drop back. Our strike force would then be, RVP, Welbeck, chicharito, Lewandowski. All being pushed by Henriquez and Will Keane. We do have a lot of games during the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I used to say wellbecks not good enuuf but he's improving game by game worls hard like park used to, so give the young man a break he will b class in a few yrs!

Agree2 Disagree1

Welbeck will never be an out-and-out goal scorer, true. However that isn't the only type of forward worth having. Welbeck has pace and is developing strength, he has real work ethic and works for the team, he will chase and harrass all day long, which gives us something a bit different from the others. He can make defenders lives difficult like Heskey used to for England, but unlike Heskey, he can score too. He's a good lad to have in the squad, even if he's unlikely to become world class.

Agree2 Disagree1

Half of you are forgetting that since the arrival of RvP, Welbeck obviously has had a lot less playing time. Often being deployed out on the left or right wing rather than up front so don't expect him to score many this season. He works for the team, tracks back and has a great fighting spirit that kin of attitude is regarded very highly at United and rightly so, it's that attitude that helps us pull off late goals and back to back wins.

I personally thought and I know a lot of others did too that Welbeck was the star man against Real Madrid apart from Jones. RvP missed a couple of chances and Roomey had a very quiet night. Welbeck is an important player!

Agree0 Disagree2

Agree with Ed004, Pardoe, I think you are overlooking the importance of a balanced squad and having young, hungry, homegrown talents who are willing to sit on the bench but will always give 100% when called upon.

Rooney done nothing, so why sell Welbeck? Sell rooney, get the money and replace with Lewandawski and Bale and that will be spending over.
Nomidfield

Agree0 Disagree1

U lot need to look at Rooneys stats before spouting off about selling him, last 71 games been involved in 69 goals or assists. Plus he's very often sacrificed his own position to play out wide or midfield. You wil all miss him if he goes. As for welbz he also plays more on the wing and is improving every game. We are 12 points clear, in Europe and still in fa cup. So less moaning and crititicising and more support please.

Graham dyer. Shoreham by sea {Ed004's Note - That's what I mean if you get Ronaldo in to replace him he will do just as good a job and for much longer IMO}

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Lewandowski as a replacement for Rooney? With Wazza dropping back and playing as a midfielder.

Agree0 Disagree0

At this moment in time, Bale would cost more than Rooney could be realistically sold for.

Good Morning. lads! :)
- Manchester United are thought to be interested in Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz. The Turkish champions, who paid just 4.5 million for the player, would be tempted by a bid of 11.4m from the Old Trafford outfit.

POOJA PATIL

Where did you read this as it is the laziest form of journalism IMO. The guy scores 2 goals to help them come from 2-0 down at half time to win 4-2 and suddenly we are looking at him? Behave.

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

YES! Who cares about Lewandowski when can get this guy for the same price!. Sorry who are we talking about again?

Agree0 Disagree0

He has scored 7 goals in champions league to be fair

Just wondering as to how many or what positions do ye think united will buy this this summer?ed002/Sydney if ye are around what do ye think or who?

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Experienced midfielder surely. If not
I sure hop Fletcher recovers for duty next season.

While we do really need a genuine top cm, I think we've been pretty ok there this season, and wide players are more of a priority as Nani redefines the term "inconsistent", Young is a squad player at best, Valencia hasn't been great and Kagawa is best in the middle. Zaha looks promising but not ready for first choice, so we need to replace one of them.

As for cm, I think we really need someone who can press and win the ball, with the technical abillity to help keep it too. I don't think Strootman is the one, or Wanyama. Personally I reckon Cabaye would be perfect.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cleverley won't be going anywhere though mate, i'm also not sure if SAF would want to relegate him to a regular bench position.

Dan

Agree0 Disagree0

A left back, a centre half and a centre midfielder are the obvious positions that would need reinforcement.

Maybe another winger along with zaha if Nani is sold. I don't think we'll buy more than 2-3 players this summer though. {Ed004's Note - I don't think a cb is needed unless Rio leaves}

Agree0 Disagree1

Don't believe we need a Centre Half as we have plenty of cover with Vidic, Evans and Rio also throw in Smalling and Jones and we are well covered.
Left back for me, hopefully Baines.
Good young strong Centre Mid like Wanyama would be ideal.
Want to say a right sided creator but with Valencia, Nani and now Zaha at the club we won't be signing a fourth I don't believe.
