Bale going nowhere
Rooney going nowhere
Fabregas going nowhere

United going in for Modric
United going in for Baines

Believable45 Unbelievable35

Rooney is going to Chelsea. It will happen. I think United have quoted around 32mil for him.

Agree0 Disagree2

Cant see everyones obsession with modric pers I nally I think he's over rated and a player we don't need

Bale, Rooney and Fabregas you're probably right, although I think Rooney may go. The way things are going I'd be happy with Modric and Baines!

Agree0 Disagree0

Good. !!

Agree1 Disagree0

Bale off to Real Madrid.
Rooney staying.
Fabregas will sign for Manchester United.
Luka Modric may sign for Manchester United
(prefer Ozil)
Baines will sign for Manchester United

Ed (s) have you by any chance heard of Marco Verratti handing in a transfer request? Also, do you think he is the kind of player we need? I've only heard good things about him but I've never seen him play

cnk {Ed004's Note - It seems he is trying to get a better contract}

Believable7 Unbelievable11

He's on a criminally low wage compared to the rest of the team there IIRC. WOuld be a great buy if we could get him but I still don't see it happening. If he moves it will probably be to Juve or elsewhere in Serie A.

Bale is off, this could start something very interesting in a transfer merry go round sense.

Paul

Believable21 Unbelievable38

It's all over the web that Marca have been quoting a meeting between Bale and Levy with Bale demanding he wants to sign for Madrid. Marca are about as reliable as the Sunday Sport.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's unfair to the Sunday Sport!

Agree1 Disagree0

Marca have used the exact same fabricated quotes they used for the Modric deal, and changed the name to Bale lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Can we just pretend Marca doesn't exist, or at least treat it as it is which is Perez' propaganda. Real are interested, Levy doesn't want to sell that's as far as it is and I think that's how it will stay until next season. He'll only be allowed to go to Madrid so whether we're interested or not is irrelevant.

Rumours circulating the rounds that Sami Khedira would be free to leave Real Madrid for £15.5 million. I personally think he'd be a great option to bolster our midfield options. What do you's think?

JK

Believable39 Unbelievable39

Definitely worth a look at, has champions league experience only 26. Needs a break out year to nail down a starting role for the national team.

Jobby

Agree0 Disagree0

FREE to leave for 15.5 million, dunno where to start there mate. Not worth that much in 15.5 million years. Think I'd rather Cabaye, Khedira is way too slow.
Ken

Agree2 Disagree3

Anybody will do. We are in s*** position anyway.
Or else be prepared to be humiliated to see giggs again and again and again.

Rodio17

Agree1 Disagree2

Not bothered really, he's just a bruiser and we have PJ for that.

Dan

Agree1 Disagree0

Ken
Way too slow in what man. fifa. would he not suit your ultimate team get a grip pal he'd b a good option to replace carrick in a year or so but still he's good vision and can tackle can mark a player out of a game and wouldn't b a bad buy cause he's only 26 and just hittin his prime. I'd rather pay 15m for him then 25m for cabaye 27 who on his day is good and scores sum screamers but drifts out of games too easy when it's not going his way and makes a lot of mistakes. IMO there r much better options available I'd go for neither.
Too slow rod of back to barbie in your fantasy world.

I'm sure ul have a smart reply
Dufferz

Agree0 Disagree0

He's just dirty. I see him trying to stamp on people's heels if they go past him

Agree0 Disagree1

I don't really want khedira and would take fellaini over him. I would however take ozil or modric

Agree0 Disagree1

If not Fabregas then Ozil

Agree0 Disagree0

I think will the current inflation on players, 15.5 mil is a pretty accurate valuation. (Remember Andy Caroll cost 35 million. ) Also Mourinho has stated in the past that Khedira was one of the best players at Real Madrid, on the pitch and in training. So I definitely think he's an option to consider.

JK

Agree0 Disagree0

Bookeredmole, I would take kheidira over Feilini any day of the week, great on the ball, great passer and is very strong!feilini isn't good enough to lace his boots!i agree with you with ozil over modric tho!in fact is take ozil over fabregas and modric even thos they play different positions,

SuperRed

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozil is a very different player to Modric and less so to Fabregas. Ozil can't set the pace for a game and control a game, he is a top class number 10 but we have 2 of them on our books already in Kagawa and Rooney. We need a deeper lying playmaker who can control a game. Fabregas, Modric, Verratti, Gundogan, Cabaye would all be good options.

Dan

Agree0 Disagree0

Ye I agree Dan, very good

marco verrati wants to leave psg? any chance of a bid from us? be a great addition! imagine him and fab - be awesome!

Believable11 Unbelievable25

I would rather Verrati than Fabregas and that is saying something. I think he is a gem of a player and would be at the top level for years. He is a great deeper lying playmaker with the vision and passing like a Pirlo or Scholes. He is still very young but would instantly improve our starting eleven. Not sure on how much he would go for though maybe £15-20m?

Agree1 Disagree0

When will people realise no one I repeat no one wants to sign for Moyes. He has done naff all for anyone to comprehend signing for him. Two targets gone. Mcfc wanted four players they now have four new signings. WHY. Because their manager has done it all before. We won't get anyone big now the options are getting slimmer and slimmer. We will end up with a no hoper just like the manager and new chief exec. Mid table and laughing stocks here we come. Rock the fed up red.

Agree0 Disagree2

Amazing talent and if its true I would hope dm would atleast attempt to bring him here
Sweets

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently PSG rejected a 'monstrous bid' from Napoli for him the other day. Don't know how much exactly, but would guess more than 15-20m. Let's see who Moyes looks at next seeing as the new Barca boss has today said he doesn't want Fabregas to leave.

Agree2 Disagree0

TV reporting Verratti has handed in a transfer request. Moyes needs to strike quick on this or will end up losing to a Serie A team.

We cannot attract a world class midfielder, we need to develop and this could be the kid.

Jobby

Agree1 Disagree0

To no name further up the page. "when will people realise no one wants to sign for Moyes". check Gerardo Martino's long list of pretty non-existant achievements before Barca brought him over. i'm sure he'll attract top transfer targets due to the club he now manages, i'm red through and thriough and this is Manchester United FC not David Moyes FC. Maybe you should be wearing blue!
Red Staffie

Agree2 Disagree0

I suspect he is wearing blue.

Agree1 Disagree0

Veratti would cost £30/£40m, not £15/£20m. (Just saying).

Agree0 Disagree0

He is probably going to cost 25 million given the current state of the market. He is got a combination of de rossi and marchisio in him and would be great buy that will only get better.

Utd in for 80m Ronaldo splashed all over
the Manchester Evening News!!

Believable21 Unbelievable53

Its not telling us anything we don't allready know, IF bale goes to Madrid would they think about selling Ronnie?
Paul

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be very happy to see him back but not for anything like 80m max should be 60m and we should keep most image rights to recoup fee via merchandising.

To be honest I really would prefer to invest that money in two top midfielders and a left back.

Secondly if he does come back I think it depends on Bale going to RM. been rumoured Bale will stay for one more year then go so IF that proves to be the case I cannot see RM letting Ronnie leaving til next year.

Please Please Please Ronnie, come home to where your truly loved.
Tookers.

Believable34 Unbelievable23

The Manchester Evening News used to be a fact based paper, but not any more, now locally known as the Manchester City Evening News, the paper has now got a sports editor with a very vivid immagination and is now no more believable than the rest of the daily rags.

Interesting article in the Mail, 'Fabregas has told friends in English football' he wants to move to us.

I know it's the Mail, but the article is written by Ian Ladyman who is out in Japan with the team.

Believable30 Unbelievable36

He won't come. I think he will go back to Arsenal. Its funny how Arsenal have stayed quiet on this one because they know if barca accept a bid from us Arsenal get first refusal on Cesc for just £25 mill. And don't forget Arsene and Cesc talk on the phone to each other alot, so they are obvious in the know. I say we go for gundogan!

Agree1 Disagree3

I doubt many of Fabregas's friends are on tour with United in Japan though.

Irish Red

Agree1 Disagree0

Arsenal do not get to buy Cesc for £25m.

They get a percentage of any profit, if sold at profit to any club but Arsenal, or they can match any bid that is accepted by Barcelona and it has to be accepted also.

Agree0 Disagree1

I can think of at 1 at least, RVP.

Agree1 Disagree0

It’s the same as the Suarez situation. The clause will be the minimum amount where discussions can start with Arsenal…it doesn’t have to be accepted. And if something higher comes in, Barca can reject or ask them to match it.

And why would he go back to Arsenal? No trophies, no marquee signings (lost Higuian), no ambition. I like Arsenal but they just aren’t doing enough for themselves.

As for friends, RVP? Does he know De Gea? Or the boot cleaner?

SB

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish people would stop saying Arsenal buy back, it's a load of crap.

How many times does a player go back to a clu!. And as Van Persie proved by moving away, you have a better chance of winning elsewhere. If he came back it wouldn't be to Arsenal. For starters, he would be on £200k at our place, they won't pay that!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's pretty clear that Cesc has been making encouraging noises about a move to us for some time. If we keep pushing then he'll come and that's the first part of the jigsaw in place. We then need an enforcer in midfield and a wide man with Rooney, Nani and hopefully Anderson on their way.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paulo, we don't need to sign a winger. If we do then that will hinder the progress of Adnan. He's young, hungry and from what I have seen, he's going to set the prem on fire in the next year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forgetting Zaha as well! An inform Valencia down the right and Zaha down the left would be something special. I'd like to see a lot of Januzaj in the PL too this year.

Ozwald

Agree1 Disagree0

I thought Adnan was a midfielder not a wide man. He's clearly one for the future and Zaha may need a while to develop. If Nani and Rooney both leave then that will give us the option of playing a different formation butIthink we'll still need one player to pose a threat down the flanks. Maybe it means a reprieve for Evra for one season if Everton continue to insist on silly money for Baines. Maybe Valencia will find his form again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apart from the fact that Adnan isn't a winger try paying attention when you watch the games!

Stew4d

Agree1 Disagree0

Adnan is a right midfielder. He moght not be a winger but he likes to cut inside from the right. At least know what you're talking about before trying to insult someone.

Agree1 Disagree0

Adnan plays through the middle. A winger wouldn't hinder his progress & the kid is going to be special. I think he'll be knocking on the door this year regardless of who we sign.

Agree1 Disagree0

Adnan is part of the modern breed of attacking midfielder, think Mata, Silva, Kagawa, those that play anywhere across the line behind the striker, and will drift wherever they feel they like they can take advantage.

Agree1 Disagree0

No need to get on your high horse Stew4d, Adnan has spent more than enough time on the wing. He's 18 and there obv still trying to find out his best position. Any big signing on the wing would hinder his progress, he needs game time. Your probally ones of those people that go on about youth not being given a chance, get back in your box son:-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I suppose you're right I only work at moss lane so hardly get to see him in action and would have no idea where he looks best. Sorry won't let it happen again.

Stew4d

Agree0 Disagree0

Adnan just brought on as sub to play on the wing, oh no wait a minute he is playing through the middle behind Welbeck

Agree1 Disagree0

You can't stamp a default position on Januzaj he's a player that can play anywhere, as a forward, out wide. he likes to drift inside and drop deep, he's good enough to play anywhere. If he puts on a bit of weight there's no reason he can't play as a CM as long as he's accompanied by a more defensive midfielder.

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Ozwald, hey stew4d. Working behind the burger bar at moss lane is nothing to shout about:-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Please can all these rumours now stop about fabregas, the manager and the president of barca have said not for sale, there are more realistic signings out there like baines, felaini, defour and others why not go for them

UNITEDFORLIFE75

Agree0 Disagree0

Deluded isn't the word. Arsenal have first refusal on cesc, FACT! It is not set at 25 mill but barca owe arsenal money on fab and song so it wouldn't cost them that much to match any bid. Cesc is not friends with RVP. Cesc loves Arsenal and wenger, he would not play for moyes who at the moment cannot attract any top players to united. Sorry to burst your deluded bubble lads but if Cesc leaves barca, it won't be for the red of Man united.
