Apparently we're putting a bid in for bale - £40mil + fresh prince of salford on loan.

I know it sounds mental, just what I've heard!

I think it'd be a great deal to be honest, we get bale, they get a striker, he comes back with experience. Almost too good to be true.

T14

Believable14 Unbelievable73

Never going to happen.

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree with you, can't see it myself. I just heard we were putting a bid in, not that it was definitely happening.

I do think we have a better chance of getting Bale now Isco has gone to Madrid though. Who knows, this summer should be interesting anyway :)

T14

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting as that is very similar to what Madrid are doing. Hmmmm

40'm plus 2 players

Agree0 Disagree0

We will bid 50m they will say up it we will offer 50m plus nani they will say up it we will bid 70m in the end they will say add nani and he is yours we will sign Bale the end lol I hope. Katef

Agree0 Disagree0

Too good to be true because it is, ins will be thiago strootman maybe gaitan
That's your lot

Ros46

Agree0 Disagree0

Fresh Prince of Longsight!

Agree0 Disagree0

It simply will not happen, unfortunately the player has no interest in joining us sadly

Agree0 Disagree0

Bales only choice of clubs is United he will ask to leave levi will dig his feet in joe lewis will sanction it we will get him that's the truth. Katef

Agree0 Disagree0

Katef mate, he doesn't want to come! He really isn't interested! If he goes? He goes to madrid and he goes kicking and screaming! He just doesn't want to leave spurs at the moment! All this talk about united is complete nonsense.

Agree3 Disagree0

Spurs supporter are you? He might be comfortable being in a team that's never going to challenge for the PL title or a major European trophy for one more season but after that he will want to move on for sure.

If he travels to Wales to see his family as much as I hear then i'm sure United would most definitely appeal to him IF we came knocking.

Ozwald

Agree2 Disagree0

No not a spurs fan I just know two of their players, yes of course he travels home! But he is just buying a bigger house so that due to his and his partners baby, family will be staying with him and him not travelling home to wales! And yes he absolutely does not want to leave spurs! I understand how at times you want a player so bad! But he really doesn't want to go anywhere its not a swype at united or any other club linked with the player! He just really loves life where he is at the moment and its very rare that should an offer of stupidity come in from madrid that would put a smile on levy's face it would be the player that would fight to stay at the club!

Agree0 Disagree0

I definitely can't see Bale joining us at utd. And for those arguing were a bigger club why wouldn't he come there is still such a thing as club loyalty. Even though its rare!

Agree0 Disagree0

To pay 70m for Bale plus a contract of 10m per year over 5 years comes to 120m. Now Bale is an excellent player but that just isn't good business. I feel we'll be more likely to go for Thiago, Garay, Fellaini and Shaw all for the same monies, well maybe the wages will be more.
Mike

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm positive Bale wants out. He's just too much of a coward to kick up a fuss. All his interviews he hints at moving this summer. This business about buying another house sounds very flimsy.

Manchester United today confirmed the departure of first-team coach Rene Meulensteen.

Believable50 Unbelievable5

Gutted rene has gone! Great coach
Tookers

Agree7 Disagree1

Thanks Rene, hope you get a PRIME Job

Agree8 Disagree0

Thanks to Rene. A good job well done. Let's hope Mr Moyes knows what he's doing. Without any offence to Everton, expectations are higher at O. T.

Agree0 Disagree0

Big mistake!
Keeping some of the core coaches should had been logic. The know the players, whos being developed and how the club is run.

Melwing28

Agree4 Disagree0

I agree with everyone. It is usually academic ofnew broom sweeping clean but as people say, who has knowledge of the players and who has knowledge and experience of European football in the putative Moyes set- up?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bad decision by Moyes to let Rene go. Moyes should also have kept the goalkeeping coach (Eric Steele?) but I was quite pleased that he decided not to keep Mike Phelan, who was a poor player and an even worse coach.

Good luck in getting the top job that your skills deserve, Rene.

Mike B.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who's said Moyes let him go? Maybe he wants a management post!

Agree0 Disagree0

So we are basically replacing the manchester united coaching staff (described as being the best coaches in world by many in our squad), with the everton coaches. Something sounds odd about that.

At first I was against Moyes appointment, but I have grown to appreciate it. The board seemed to make the decision initially, to service the philosophy and infrastructure of manchester united.

If moyes is going to change everything however, all we have left is a good everton manager. Is that enough? We could, afterall, have had mourinho, klop, or possibly even guardiola, depending on when you think ferguson knew he would retire. (wenger claims he suspected at the beginning of the season. )

Maybey moyes feels the need to define himself as his own man, which is fair enough, but I think he needs to be careful how he goes about that. A lot of the support for him right now, is because we expect him to become a manager of the manchester united tradition, and so are going along with the boards decision.

At this level, Moyes is akin to a youth product, that's shown huge potential. The idea of bringing youth through is that they will buy into the clubs philosophy, not go off on their own tangent. If they do that you might aswell have bought people in from elsewhere.

Moyes can't live in ferguson's shadow if he wishes to be successful, but he can't escape it either, if he wishes to be of any value to manchester united.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why do people think moyes let him go? If he wanted to let him go, wouldn't rene have left around the same time as phelan and steele (apparently he left because he is retiring). He probably wants a job elsewhere as a manager or decided with everyone else leaving it was time to go.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasn't rene being considered for the iranian manager jobor something? going by how well he has donein all his previous roles I think he will make an excellent manager and was only really a matter of time before he would take the next step, I just wish we could have had him for a few more seasons first lol

Media now picking up on the Cristiano Ronaldo back to Manchester United rumour

Believable47 Unbelievable40

26 Jun 2013 18:39:42
Read on ESPN that Ronaldo is meeting with United officials in the next few days. Your thoughts?

Believable52 Unbelievable51

Can't wait to smell his Paco Rabane again.
PLEASE GOD, hear this prayer "Let Ronnie come home to us"

Agree2 Disagree0

A bit dubious IMO. The fact that they are informal meeting means it can rarely be proved.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course it can't be proved, that's the point - official 'formal' meetings with an external club and a player in contract are against FIFA regulations

Agree0 Disagree0

Bale will be the big signing for us we don't go backwards and Ronnie would want 100 grand a week more we could have Bale and Fellaini for his wage and have a few quid left for someone else mark my words it will be Bale I think 70m but it mite be that plus Nani. Katef

Agree0 Disagree3

Kate sorry but:
1. Nani will refuse to go to Tittenham even if they wanted him
2. Even if we did miraculously decide to spend that money on Bale Levy wouldn't sell to us. Real are willing to offer more than that but Levy is holding on to a world record valuation.

Ronaldo will be back in 1 or 2 years when his contract runs down further and he becomes cheaper.

Agree0 Disagree0

Levy can't sell a player that does not want to go abroad even if he has said he would like to experience another country i'm not buying it and we do have plenty of cash plus real sign isco and probably saurez and cavani so were are all these players going to play its nailed on Bale this window if you ask me, Ronaldo if he leaves real which I doubt will go Monaco but he will sign a new deal at real nani may not want Tottenham but ya never know he would be good for them

Agree1 Disagree0

Not true, that's tapping up

With tevez leaving city it only leaves that lot with
2 strikers. They will try for Rooney again. Rooneys
reaction to any city bid will be the making of his Man U
future. Remember what he said last time they bid!
He loves this club more than a lot of people/fans and wants
us to b the best and of course that means including
him.

Bfro

Believable38 Unbelievable13

Did you just say he loves this club more than a lot of fans? Tell me that's a typo.

TK-Red

Agree5 Disagree0

Good points you make there. However, I'm a cynical old sod, I think DM and MUFC really deep down, may want to sell Wazza, but can't be seen to forcing him out.
Nice time to see if DM & EW can match SAF & DG for mind games.

Agree1 Disagree0

He love's the club? Then why dose he want to leave why has he come out with the sh-t he has?
He thinks he's bigger than the club well let Shrek go he's past is sell by date end off.

Tommy tit

Agree2 Disagree0

Well, there's a lot of talk that he never asked to leave this time, and he's pissed off as all hell that SAF said he did. Last time was perfectly justified, and he was listing the same concerns many of us fans were talking about at the time.

Thorne

Agree1 Disagree1

Utd need to sell him now or get him to sign a new, reduced contract this summer which isn't going to happen. That's why I think he will be sold this summer as he obviously isn't in contract discussions. If Utd keep him for this season as it is now he will have a gun to their head. He won't accept less money and is nowhere near deserving of a pay rise. Then he can see out his contract or demand even more of a ridiculous a contract than he already has. All for a player who has been no more than an average Premier League player for the last 18-24 months. You can give stats about this and that but that isn't the full story. Anyone that has watched Utd surely must have been able to see that he hasn't looked interested, has been unfit at times and some of his performances have been shockingly bad. Plus he has lost pace which he will not get back. I think he needs a change and will probably do well if he goes but he won't set the world alight and won't justify his probable huge wage. Time to go, good luck Wayne and thanks for the memories.

Agree2 Disagree0

Bfro makes some good points
Rooney has always shown us
passion and a desire to win
unlike some I could name
he does show some love to us
thats why he asked about us not
showing ambition he's a winner
and loves to win

spudgunn

Agree1 Disagree1

Spudgunn
So winning the league last year and asking to leave is having ambition, what planet r u on

Melwing28

Agree3 Disagree2

Melwing i'm on earth and you haven't
read any of the posts correctly. Your
talking about this so called transfer
request bfro and myself are on about
rooney saying what a lot of the fans
where thinking when he asked for
better quality like rvp it shows he
must like us or why bother giving a
reason

spudgunn

Agree0 Disagree1

I've heard in a few times that when Rooney had a meeting with SAF, discussing why he's being dropped from the squad Wazza said in the heat of the moment "why don't you sell me then". SAF obviously hates that kind of immature attitude and reacted by telling the public he wants a transfer.

Seems a bit strange and I don't think I buy into it because why did he look so guilty at the title parade celebration? Maybe he's realised he wants to stay but would need the fans on his side to make it happen so he's trying to get MU to make it look like he never handed in a transfer request.

Ozwald

Agree2 Disagree0

If any of you would be ITK's actually knew what you where talking about it was Fergie taking a parting dig at Rooney and not Rooney who asked for a transfer! All the top football pundits have endorsed that so give the lad a break will ya

Bilko

Agree0 Disagree2

You're right unnamed poster, the stats don't tell the whole story.

Rooney scored or assisted an average of not far off a goal a game, while playing out of position, and being moved around or dropped so he never got a run of games playing the same position!

If he looked out of sorts at times it's mainly because he didn't get a chance to get used to playing ion any position before being dropped or moved to a different position. Very few players could have done as well under the circumstances. Come on there were times when he was playing as the deepest midfielder ffs.

Thorne

Agree1 Disagree1

Rooney and RVP could be the best pairing in world football there attributes complement each other perfectly if he stays and we play them we will destroy teams like years gone by

Agree3 Disagree0

After the barca showing up at Wembley even the most die hard united fan had to admit we were short of class in our team. Rooney said what we all knew The Glazers had let us down badly in the recruitment of class players. We still mumbled along and what happened City took our title. So we bought our mega player and we got our title back. Rooney has not played that well for a bit now. he had to go to the Nike fitness class for special training. In MHOP he has looked overweight and not up to it. This may well because of behind the scene goings on. We will probably never find out. To leave him out when we played Madrid was probably the final insult. He nust have looked at that prolific striker Welleck and that prolific shirker Nani and thought I give up here. Fergie as he has in the past decided Rooney was not for him anymore. Be it right or wrong Rooney got frustrated and before he put his brain in gear opened his mouth to Fergie. That was it Rooney wants to go he said. Could be he said if you do not play me what's the point in me being here. On his day he's a class act, He scores goals he works hard he makes goals. Before we get what we ask for guys just look at the suitors lining up for him. Hopefully moyes can sit him down make him feel loved and restore him as a United great. like it or not that's what he's been for us for the past few years

Agree0 Disagree1

Anyone who calls our club "Man U" loses any credence with me.
