Not that I disagree with anyone, but what is the difference between the behaviour of those players out there tonight and the behaviour of Nani every week?

The cup also? My my Whatever the arguement between our respective leagues i'm glad for the passion of our own. The only reason i stuck with it was to compare each player to our own and grow quietly confident. Honestly if we weren't still in and i'm as you ed i seldom miss anything live but this i would switch off. As for seeing red for our team That's my fear also ed. Real having four times down to ten men against barce suggests the catalonians have a certain skill in that department. If i had been the ref tonight i'd ve walked of the pitch in protest or given the lot of them the red. Hopefully the Sir alex can have a wee moan beforehand the refs sharpen up to it(or stop looking the other way and get a grip on it) and they get a few yellows for simulation. How uefa don't see this as a total embarressment is beyond me. They might have the greatest player ever but i'll never call it the greatest team. Constantine red

Just a thought but could steele learning spanish be a prelude to him moving into scouting (over next few seasons) with vds being new goalkeeping coach in particular working closely with de gea?
As said just a thought but makes sense
As for the young situation its common knowledge that he wanted to return to london and also get a regular england spot, with 'arry pretty much guaranteed the next england managerial position surely youngs obvious move is to spurs esp with them looking to offload both bently and kranjar. So i can just not see us signing him and still think our main signings will be de gea, sniejder and douglas costa. if berba is sold then we may sign a new striker but will prob just give welbeck more opportunities

Both teams in the classico are a disgrace. Their play acting and constant complaining is embarrasing.

You can class them as the best football teams in the world but they are a bunch of cheating c***s.

Just thought Id pop on and say hello while the snooze-fest that is "El Classico" is going on. Gimme Premier League football anyday for excitement. It may be a controversial thing to say but Spanish football just doesn't get the heart racing often enough.

I wouldn't expect saf to promote many frm the fa youth cup finalist team. More like loan a few out or another year in reserves. Would like to see cleverly given a shot at f.team though. That young italian midfielder in the reserves (he had a long injury) (petrussi i think) highly praised too.

**TRANSFER UPDATE**

Guy's and Girl's. . I've posted this info before twice although once was removed after beign published???

Modric is the man SAF wants. .you can expect some heafty prices being quoted come summer time although I know preliminary discussions have been held, albeit, Spurs are reluctant but know every player has a price, thus a big transfer fee.

The goalkeeping situation is pretty much sorted and well published, some final contractual negotiations are being completed.

The only other signing will be Young, as simialr to the above prelimanary discussions are ongoing. Young has rejected 2 other approached in favour of Utd - I'm told one was Liverpool.

SAF is looking to have all transfers completed ASAP in time for pre-seaon training. Once these are done, that will be all.

These are the only transfers that will be happening this Summer.

I'm disappointed to see to amount of random spraff put on this page, yes it's a rumour forum, and I'm aware of what a rumour is. However, all you football manager fantasists who are just defeatring the sole purpose of this site gets very annoying after a while. If you don't have a genuine rumour to post, then I'm pretty sure I speak on behalf of all users of this site when I say - don't bother making one up just to be heard.

Rant over lol. I've heard a few things this morning. Firstly, Neuer is not an option for Man Utd, as he is adamant of staying in his homeland, Germany, whether that be to Bayern, or stay at Schalke for another season before moving. Second rumour I've heard from a very reliable source is that Fergie will do all he can to get Sneijder from Inter, however won't be held to randsom with a hugely inflated transfer fee, so would likely turn his attention to Pastore who he would be willing to pay a lot for given his massive potential and young age (approx' 35m is the specualted price).

Apparently real madrid are going to put a 25m offer in for nani, which i think is way under his value, i think he is worth atleast 30mil and 40mtops, if carrol is worth 35m then i really think nani is worth more, however is united do decide to sell nani to madrid then i think man united should do a swap involving ozil or kaka ( kaka + 10m ) what does everyone else think about nani being linked with madrid? ( imo i think he could leave, he hasn't been starting many games of late )

In the sneijder interview he said he was happy to remain at inter however he did not state that if an offer came in he wouldn't consider it
i think fergie will test his and inters resolve with a bid this summer.
Also i would like to see either douglas costa or Sahin come in as well. Obviously the keeper debate is wide open. . . i would like de gea or akinveev (Nuer is not an option )

what u think ed? {Ed002's Note - Very few people are going to give interviews and say they want to leave their club. It has been pretty quiet about Costa recently but interest from Manchester United and Manchester City seems to have been matched by Napoli. Sahin has attracted interest from Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid in addition to Inter and AC Milan (although both Milan clubs seem to be looking elsewhere now). I don't know of any interest from Manchester United.}

Nani to Inter. Young has already agreed a pre-contract to replace him.

{Ed002's Note - Young cannot sign a pre-contract.}

To Cons Red as I said in an earlier post I would get two midfielders. I would keep Fletcher, Anderson and Carrick for squad rotations as each offers something different. I would love to see Schweinsteiger and Sahin brought in as I see Schweinsteiger as the best midfielder in the world apart from Xavi and Iniesta but he can defend and they can't. Sahin is IMO already as good as Alonso in his passing and just needs to work on strength and positioning when defending but he is only 22. If you look at out team on depth, we have the best defence in the world, the best wingers IMO in the world and one of the best attack forces we just need a world class midfield.
Also to the person who mentioned De Rossi, I do not rate him as highly as Schweinsteiger and am not he could adapt to the PL, he plays in a slow Italian league but here it is very fast. Not seen enough of Mcarthy to judge him Ed7.

I have found the recent discussion about Bale on the site very interesting. I believe he is overrated but is still a very good player. I believe he will be converted into a left back and so does Harry Redknapp. Teams will start to realise that he attacks the space and double up on him. That is why I think he will turn into a left back were he will have a vast area to attack on the field especially if you have a winger who cuts in (nani) it will leave them more space. That is why if Evra leaves Bale would be my Ideal singning to replace him but not realistic as he would cost too much. Other benefits for bale is that he is tall and home grown.

Neuer was interviewed on the German telly after the game and when asked about joining MU. he said was not an option. then he gave a broad, knowing smile to Effenberg, and he rdturned the smile. Have no doubt about it, Neuer is off to Bayern. Whenthey interviewed Fergie after the match, and asked if Neuer would join, he just grinned ruefully and said " No, he's going somewhere else". This was from the interviews shown on the Deutsche Sky TV.
