Believable14 Unbelievable2

I for one have my fingers crossed! We need to lose more of this type of dross deadwood in the squad. Who next then? The pole in the goal, owen, berbatov (if he isn't playing then why keep hold of him?).

latest rumour is that Zaha and clyne could be leaving crystal palace in the next 24hrs.

Believable14 Unbelievable5

Bolton are looking front-runners for ZAHA, however united have shown interest in him and Clyne,..
I wont be surprise to see Clyne at Old Trafford, dont know much about ZAHA`s progress.

Agree0 Disagree0

Zaha to bolton isn't it??

Agree0 Disagree0

If clubs like us are too Interested in players like Zaha....as soon as other clubs come in (Phil Jones with Liverpool) it forces us to enter in earlier than expected....IF we want zaha then we will now enter into this.....why would bigger clubs lose out to a target to Bolton!..?

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope they both go to Bolton so I don't have to read about them for another day on here

Agree0 Disagree0

Pretty sure Zaha will go to Bolton if he leaves, not ready for the Premier League yet in my opinion. Potential but not top 4 again in my opinion. Clyne is different he could be a star but not yet in a few years. I think he'll wait until the Summer before he leaves personally.

Anyone notic during press conference today saf speaking about last years youth team,he mentioned about 8 players but nothing bout Morrison

Believable5 Unbelievable4

That might be because the kids won really well last without Morrison.
Some cracking performances from a bunch of honest, hard working, talented kids.
As good as Morrison obviously is, he lacks something....integrity, amongst other things.
Listening to the few things Fergie has said about Morrison over the last few months, he sounds almost disinterested. Just my opinion, but i get the impression Fergie is done with him. And i can't say i blame him.
Something in the press today about Roma turning Morrison down...quotes said something along the lines of "...If Sir Alex Ferguson can't control him, why should we think we can?..."
Give the other lads a go, the ones that actually turn up to training, i say. The lads Fergie mentioned today all look like they want to be here, like they are enjoying what they're doing.
I just can't see Morrison turning things around to such an extent that Fergie will trust him.
Shame, but for the best i think. Focus on the positives within our reserve set up.
Just my thoughts on this particular saga.

Agree0 Disagree0

I couldn't care less if Morrison stays or goes, plenty of superstars in reserve teams that think they've made it after a few good comments dissapear before even getting in the first team

Rio, Jones, Rooney, Nani, Carrick, Evra, Fabio are all in the united announced squad for tomorrow. No pogba mentioned. Although they are named in the squad does not mean they are not injured

Anon

Believable8 Unbelievable5

If they were certain not to play then SAF would not have included them in the squad. This tells us that he is giving them until the very last moment or that some may be able to play 20 mins off the bench if needed.

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

Its unlikely that they would be in the squad if they weren't able to play..

I think we'll go with:

Lindegaard, Rafael, Smalling, Ferdinand, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Jones, Nani (don't think he's fit so maybe Welbeck, Berbatov, Rooney.

RedDevil19

Agree0 Disagree0

We wouldnt take injured players surely to anfield. fully fit side required.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't surprise me to see Park/Giggs on the left if Nani isn't fit to play. (Provided they are fit)

Really hope Welbeck isn't shoved out there, he's been doing nicely playing up top.

TM

Agree0 Disagree0

Any reason why Pogba was taken off at half time against Newcastle if he's not in the squad tomorrow then??

Nabab :)

Agree0 Disagree0

You're forgetting about scholes

Looks like Honda is signing for lazio.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Another talented player goes elsewhere. Not that we were interested, but the fee won't be staggering and will in fact, be value for money.

CLINT DEMPSEY SAID TODAY IN PRESS that he wants to play in the champions league..

So wat do u think guys? Isn't he a decent CM? i knw that wud b a backward step but he is still better than some of our CM's..

Believable6 Unbelievable20

I would say he is more of a striker nowadays mate.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

As it stands currently with some of the prices banding around for unproved youngsters......i would take dempsey. Proven in the EPL, experience, scores goals, very creative......and he would be cheap

Agree0 Disagree0

Also Scholes/Carrick, Dempsey and Cleverly as a 3 would be pretty damn decent imo

Agree0 Disagree0

No more yankies!

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as he's a good player i don't think he's worth it.. We have promising youth and if we are going to buy I imagine it would be someone else

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not a central midfielder. He plays in a very attacking role, usually behind the striker.

rpc

Agree0 Disagree0

Plays more as a striker now though

Agree0 Disagree0

Good player, having a great season but i dont think he'd get in the team if everyone was fit. Id rather go with what we have than sign him i think. I cant see anything happening for us so late in the window.

Agree0 Disagree0

Always been a fan of Dempsey but don't think hes UTD class, very good squad player and he always gives his all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hed be ok in the prem but i dont think he would be good enough for champions league.....we should hang on till the summer instead of just buying for the sake of it.....well get some quality in the summer....green and gold all the way

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a thought,
did anyone really think Valencia was a united quality player when he arrived from wigan?
Not saying we should buy dempsey but...

ANd

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly come on lads he is not even close to being at our level, gets goals for a small club, like Charlie A**m did. Suspect being a big fish in a small pond suits, definitely not a CL player, not good on the ball and not creative Imo
SC

Agree0 Disagree0

No, not Dempsey for God's sake. We need young players for a long term not short.

IBleedBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

Think that would be a great shout one of the most underrated players in the prem

When is berbatov getting sold ed, and who is his replacement? Is it this window? {Ed002's Note - It is possible he will leave this window but by no means certain. I suspect his replacement will be the emerging talent at the club.}

Believable7 Unbelievable2

I think we will bring someone in, Keane will take the place of Owen, Macheda and Diouf. A classy striker will come in for me, Leandro Damiao and van Persie i think make the top of the list. Ricky van Wolfswinkel will be on the list as well but i think van Persie is the number 1 choice for them!

RedDevil19

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah rvp would be a great addition as hes an outstanding world class player. Also not to mention if United acted quickly would be a cheaper option since hes only a 18 months or so left on his contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

'19'

I think Ed002 was referring to a certain Danny Welbeck mate.

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - Right.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I too Genuinely believe Van Persie will be a target. Any player of his quality available for CHEAP we go in for. Similar to Nasri until he screwed us and joined City instead. Van Persie strikes me as an old fashioned player. Wants to play and win instead of only counting cash. If he doesnt sign a contract with Arsenal and we go in for him Im confident we would get our man...........Van Persie uptop with Wayne just off!......WOW prolific partership

Agree0 Disagree0

Was gonna say, can quite easily see Welbeck being given the number 9 shirt soon . Would take his mind off of how much he's earning or how much he thinks he can earn.. Can't wait to see him in the no.9 shirt tbh. True homwgrown quality.

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

I too can see us being interested in RVP to a certain extent.. What with SAF saying it publically that he was looking at him before he moved from Feyenoord or however those dutch spell it! He is probably is joint best striker in the league atm along with Rooney, Aguero, Suarez(as much as this guy shouldn't be allowed near a football - dirty player).

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Welbeck wouldn't be seen as a replacement for Berbatov, as shown this season Welbeck is already second choice striker. I imagine a striker would be bought in or Keane would be involved more.

rpc {Ed002's Note - Don't try and consider players as direct replacements - see it more as not needing replacing.}

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll probably sell him in the summer for £10-15million, give Welbeck the number 9 and spend a amssive £2million of the Berba money on the new Diouf - IE - a cheap as chips young striker who will be years away from breaking into the team and making a difference.

The United way these days, it seems.
