Apparently a new 38 million bid for Fabregas.

Indykalia is not a good source :L

Agree2 Disagree0

Fingers crossed.

Dan

Agree0 Disagree1

Barcelona have to accept that. If not Ozil 25m

Agree1 Disagree1

I don't think we will give up on Cesc, if this is rejected I cannot see this being the last bid.

Agree0 Disagree1

No way Ozil would only cost 25m.

Plus, while I'd love to have him, he isn't a central midfielder, which has to be top priority.

Agree0 Disagree1

Why make another bid a few million more than the previously bid which provoked the reply "not for sale at any price". The Fabregas saga mirrors the Rooney situatuon. The player is not for sale until he tells the club he wants to go and sacrifices elements of his contract and risks the wrath of the fans ( Fabregas is a Catalan).

Just a rumour I found on tw*tter. Can't think of a midfielder that would suit us better. Would love Veratti though how much did PSG get him for? worldy player IMO.

Believable23 Unbelievable47

Apparently we are in for christian eriksen. offering £20. any truth in that ED?

Believable8 Unbelievable33

I hope this is true but I would have fort he'd be cheaper only having a year left on his contract

19JackC94

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate the Eds rarely speak on here anymore

Agree1 Disagree0

And people say there's no value in the transfer market these days. Christian Eriksen for less than the price of 2 large pizzas.

Agree1 Disagree1

£20? I'll pay for this one lads!

Agree0 Disagree1

I think he will cost a lot more that £20 ;)

Discountdave

Agree0 Disagree1

I will pay for the transfer if it is that cheap, I spend that at a takeaway on myself.

Agree0 Disagree0

Third party ownership is not permitted in the epl unfortunately! If it was I'd go halves with united £10 each!

Ed, do you know if we have offered Nani a new deal? Rumours in the press a few days ago that we have. But he is also in touch with French clubs.

Heard anything concrete?

Also Henriquez may be sent on loan to Real Zaragoza.

Guys,

Cesc deal Is dead in the water. United will now offer 50 million for modric and khedira from Madrid. This deal could hinge on Rooney. Madrids boss is a huge Rooney fan, and it could be Rooney plus 20 million for them both.

Here's hoping!

Mufc parkie

Believable6 Unbelievable48

Lets hope you are wrong. I would rather go for Cabaye and Fellaini, they would fit in our team far better. The two Real possible discards are amazingly over rated and worth no more than 30 million the two.
Mik

Agree1 Disagree5

What absolute rubbish!
Madrid have no interest what so ever, not to mention where would he even play

Melwing28

Agree0 Disagree0

Would rather see us go for Cabaye and Ander Herrera or James McCarthy. Even Will Hughes as long as we get a first choice like Cabaye.

Modric is utterly useless defensively, I know most playmakers aren't great defensively, but he isfar worse than most.

Khedira is ok, a bit dirty but a decent player still. I do think we could do a lot better though.

Agree0 Disagree2

No chance at all we are not going to line Madrids pockets so they have the funds to buy Bale from under our noses

Agree0 Disagree0

Cleverley is better than Cabaye and much younger. The grass isn't always greener. If we can't get top quality then we shouldn't buy for the sake of it. Put the youngsters in.

Agree0 Disagree2

Cabaye and McCarthy rather than Modric and Khadeira! Well I've heard it all now, Jesus Christ

Alex Fergusons Condom

Agree0 Disagree1

Not it isn't, United are just about to launch a fresh bid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not Khedira. Fabregas if not Ozil and Fellaini

Agree0 Disagree0

Cleverly is nowhere near Cabaye, now I have heard it all. He would go for less than 10 million if we wanted to sell him. People here are amazing sometimes with the utter bs they post. our midfield except carrick and some of our wingers are of zero interest to the bigger teams and mostly deadwood.

We have been trying to move players like Nani and anderson for 2 years now and can't get a semi decent offer from anyone.

Shahram

Agree0 Disagree0

Mik, what sort of planet are you living on?get a grip. modric and kheidira are two quality midfielders, with champions league experience. Feilini is just a awkward mess of a man that cudnt beat my gran ina sprint!
The only time utd should get him is if we needed a new mop!turn him upside down and mop up the dressing rooms with him,

SuperRed

Agree1 Disagree1

Cleverley has had one proper full season for Utd and won the league. There is a reason he's playing and challenging for championships and Cabaye is playing for a team battling relegation although he is better than Newcastle. You are talking BS Shahram. Utd need to be signing top quality, Cabaye is not that. He wouldn't improve us much if any. I'd rather play Powell than sign only'good' players. Look at the other signings Gotze, Thiago, Neymar, Isco, Falcao, Cavani and Cabaye! I think not.

Agree0 Disagree1

Super red - The Real players score very few goals, Fellaini scored a dozen in the EPL last season. Khedira can only play as a holding midfielder and not an especially good one. Fellaini can play anywhere in the midfield or as a striker. Fellaini has completely bossed us in the past two seasons, in a way no other EPL midfielder has. I think at 22 million he's a steal. I'd play him alongside Carrick in deep midfield, to add the steel we've been lacking since Keane was in his pomp. Then buy Cesc/Cabaye/Ozil/Eriksen or a silky playmaker to play in the 3 behind RVP. By the the way, your analysis of Fellaini isn't really very articulate is it and personal insult is a sign of a low IQ. You should try talking football instead of sounding like a drunk.
Mik

Agree0 Disagree1

Mik, I wasnt trying to be articulate about my analysis of feilaini, how can anyone be articulate about a donkey, because that what he is, a donkey is just a donkey. the fact that you have just tried to say that Feilini is our answer to Roy Keane says everything about your IQ. xavi scored 7 goals for barca, ozil scored 10 for RM, and I bet your going to sit there with your wooly wig on and say Feilaini is a better player than those two!Feilini is just a tall big brut of a man that pushes players of the ball, he's not very skilfull, he's not a great passer of the ball, he doesn't go past players, he's not quick, he's not great at getting into good positions in midfield. the only thing going for Feilaini is his big frame, strenght, and good header of the ball, but that's about it!its not just about scoring goals its about your overall contribution to matches. Feilaini may have taken a few of our players out with rough and ready, but most games he doesn't contribte with skill and vinesse or good tackles may I add. And by the way don't come on here and throw insults at people you do not know because it just shows how narrow minded you realy are!all I done was voice my opinion and I am intitled to my opinion so get over it

Man utd held talks with bale after the game

Believable11 Unbelievable44

I don't think so

Agree2 Disagree0

Then why we're they at the game? No manager go to a game to view pitches,

Agree1 Disagree1

Dont they need spurs permission

dave

Agree2 Disagree0

No they didn't.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed Woodward has left Manchester to join the squad for urgent transfer business :)

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jul 2013 19:48:44
Ed's are is there any interest in koke? Not just from us but from anywhere, seems a very good player from what I've seen of him! {Ed004's Note - I haven't heard of any from united}

Believable4 Unbelievable8

27 Jul 2013 13:33:47
Maybe this is me in overdrive but Villas-Boas has refused to confirm or deny Gareth Bale has asked to leave and coincidentally Moyes and a few coaches were at the Spurs game. Now I don't think Bale will come to us but still nice to speculate.

Believable26 Unbelievable22

Just a girly opinion but either we ARE getting Bale, or we ARE getting Ronaldo and 2 more.

Agree0 Disagree2

Putting 2 & 2 together and coming up with 5 as usual. Utd are in HK as part of the club tour and play there this week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabregas and Baines will be the only signings.

Agree1 Disagree3

And Ed Woodward returned home to handle urgent retooling transfer business

Agree1 Disagree0

I think it's time to start looking for those players who want to join us. For sure, see this Cesc thing through to the end, which I feel is very close, but still look for other strong midfielders. If Chelsea want Rooney, than they can give us Mata. We can give Everton 37 million for Baines and Fellaini. There's Cabaye, Oscar de Marcos, Draxler, Reus, De-Rossi many players that may well like the idea of playing for United. Cabaye, Baines and Fellaini are all getable and for 60 million or so. Cesc would be nice, but 35 million and 200k per week seems a bit over the top to me. It is time to go for the possible rather than daydream of marquee (silly bloody term) players.
Mik
Mik

Agree1 Disagree0

£35m is over the top for Fabregas but £60m isn't for Baines, Cabaye and Fellaini, LOL! What you smoking pal

Alex Fergusons Condom

Agree0 Disagree1

Cabaye, Baines and Fellaini imo would vastly improve our starting 11 and would ideally cost around £50m.

Agree1 Disagree0

Mik

Reus and draxler will be even more difficult than cesc as they are key men in their clubs set up where cesc is a suad player for barca.

I think reus on current form is Dortmund's highest valued player and would cost a fortune to get and dortmund will not entertain any offers for him. Draxler potentially will turn out to be the best of the whole lot but would also cost a fortune.

Shahram

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more with "Alex Fergusons Condom".
Oh wait. did I say that right?

I still say we're getting Fabregas.

Are you really shocked by the stance of "he's not for sale"

Wake up people. Rooney 'isn't for sale' either but there's plenty of armchair United fans that know he's off.

A famous reggae singer once said every little things going to be alright.

Keep the faith!

Believable35 Unbelievable27

Either the United management in Moyes and Woodward are going to be very embarrassed by actually confirming the bid and it failing or Fabregas will sign for United. I would be very surprised indeed if we are bidding cold without knowing what the player wants.

Agree0 Disagree0

United we stand.
Just for a second. let me believe rooney is off. but 8n that case we all know its his strong desire to leave if papers are to be believed. now when have u seen such desire reported in papers for febregas.?

Think and reply.

Rodio17

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree completely it wouldn't look great for the new manager to say in his first press conference that he wanted to sell a top player every player has their price it will just be a case of can we match it and convince Fab to come. Pre season would probably mean that we will add another 5 million or so as we are desperate.

Stew4d

Agree0 Disagree0

Very true I wish all of ye would relax big signings take time cum sept we will all be happy

Agree0 Disagree0

"He's not for sale" is chairman talk for "hand in a transfer request, forfeiting payment of the rest of your contract, and you can go"

Agree2 Disagree0

Yeah, and plenty of armchair fans are wrong about Rooney too.

If the player really wants. to leave, then the club saying they aren't for sale doesn't mean much. However, when the player wants to stay or is willing to consider a move (truer than actively wanting it), then the clubs stance matters.

Neither Rooney or Fabregas will move unless somethingbig changes. That's actually more likely with Fabregas as Barca need the money to strengthen elsewhere more than they need Fabregas. But it isn't likely utd will bid that much.

Thorne

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabregas will not be moving to United this season. That, I can guarantee. These are difficult times at Barca, with Tito off due to illness. If Fabregas pushed for a transfer now, he would be branded a deserter in Catalan. He is not leaving Barca this season, not for Utd and not for Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

Bearing in mind the feeling to Fabregas leaving, I don't think the Catalans would care overall. He's booed by most of the fans there anyway who didn't like the idea of buying him to get in the way of Thiagos development. Not sure what they think of Fab now Thiago's gone though.

Dan

Agree0 Disagree1

37m should get him. What else could Barcelona say? Why would we keep bidding?
