Read that we have been turned away by Juventus in our approach for Marchisio. That would be the dream midfielder to sign. I'd pay upwards of £20 million for him without doubt. Hope we really make a push for him!
I wonder if they would consider Anderson in a player + cash deal?

It would be ideal, but I don't think that he'll leave Juve. Modric could well be the best that we can hope for (a pretty brilliant option though) and we could get him for £25 million from Madrid I'm sure. Modric, Strootman, Lewandowski, Garay & perhaps Begovic would be fantastic. It would cost around £80 million though unfortunatly. Modric, Strootman & Lewandowski would do!
Marchisio would be the perfect player for us to sign this summer. This lad is class. I would happily see Nani leave in a player plus cash deal in exchange for Marchisio. A number of Italian clubs were reportedly interested in him last summer, so who knows? But I highly doubt he will leave Juve. Modric on the other hand sounds much more likely! Seemingly out of favour already at Real, maybe this summer we'll finaly end our CM woes and sign him. fingers crossed.
Does anybody know if Modric turned us down when Spurs decided to sell? If so I can't see Fergie trying again.

We never got to the negotiating table with him I don't think. We bid £25 million which was turned down by Levy so we never got the all clear. I do believe however that some form of talks were held after the CL tie at OT.
Modric is too old - why can't we look at someone younger? he done nothing against us for madrid apart from the goal? looking at ANYONE over 25 is wasteful, especially with 20 and 30 million quid being quoted!
