"Rooney out to real mardrid 20m plus Karim Benzema (fergy known to be a fan)"

Question for this fella, why in gods name would Rooney leave United now? He is getting around 200k a week and he can stay living in the north west where he wants to live. Rooney never had any intention of leaving United.

Rooney certainly has no reason to leave now, the only way he would ever leave United is if United forced him out, but that will not happen until hes around 28. The age where they have had his best years but would still command a high fee.

Is that accurate Editor? {ed's note - I think you are right, he was just playing a game to get more money, and he won. Now he will sit tight and coin in the cash.}

* * * * * * * * * * * *

With all due respect to the conspiracy theorists, Rooney could have put himself in the driving seat had he held on and refused to negotiate his contract. His sale value would have decreased dramatically had he decided to wait until the summer, and as a result he would have had any prospective clubs over a barrel in terms of his wages. If City want him now they will have to stump up minimum 50mil for the transfer plus wages totalling potentially 60mil for a 5 year contract. So imagine what he could have demanded from them if he waited until the summer and forced United to sell him on the cheap.

Having said that I personally believe (and I'm not alone here) that Rooney has peaked, and should be sold if the right bid comes in (>50mil) regardless of who it's from. Although he's very good, he is by no means irreplaceable. Ryan. {ed's note - the problem with running down his contract is that he has to have someone else willing to match his demands. I doubt very much that anyone else would do, he is just not worth as much to anyone but United. The likes of Real Madrid and Barca have better strikers already, they just don't need him. That only leaves City, it is well known that Mancini does not want Rooney, though that doesn't mean the Sheikh wouldn't have bought him anyway, but it does make it less likely.}

""Pie in the sky transfer talk , twenty mill plus sales so forget sneidjer etc etc. no value in the market they say .dublin red.""

@Whats wrong with 20m plus sales? Sell Carrick, Park, Gibson, Kuszczak, Drinkwater & Chester and the 20m turns into 45m.

45m will get us Lindegaard, Neuer, Defour & Sanchez.

Problems solved.

Look i personally think we will buy 3 players this jan or summer due to neville, giggs and scholes retirement. and in my opinion rooney will be sold for silly money this sufmmer the contract signing was to keep his value high. I can see these deals

rooney out to real mardrid 20m plus Karim Benzema (fergy known to be a fan)

gareth bale in from spurs (my hopeful transfer) this boy looks like giggs natural replacement

Steven Defour in from standard liege ferguson hopes to replace hardgreaves with him as hargreaves is to much of a cripple to play regularly.

Wesley Sneijder in from inter. i think the introduction of rafa (fatty) benitez will make him leave with his stupid tactics and rotation systems. This man can be as good as van der vaart has for spurs (which by the way has been awesome) and passing ability of scholes.

and maybe just maybe bebe might come through he seems to have looked quite good in his 1st team appearances.

Would like to hear ur opinion on these ed

Oh and by the way LMFAO @ all liverfool fans ur so bad it funny to watch.

Man Utd 4 Eva {ed's note - I wouldn't bank on Rafa alienating Sniejder with his rotations, those were mostly on the advice of his number 2 Paco, once they fell out the rotation stopped. I think Defour and Modric would be more likely.}

Ed who do you think Manchester United will sign in january
{Editor's note - It seems likely that Defour will be signed at some stage and maybe a keeper. Other than that I think most of the transfers will happen in the summer and expect players we have never really heard of before like Bebe and Hernandez who seems to be a brilliant buy}

Editor - Chelsea have been trying to sell the naming rights to Stamford bridge for the past 12 months, Roman wants 100m over ten years. Ramires is only on 1m a year & Chelsea now have a wage cap of 80k a week.

Q: Is this proof that Chelsea are struggling to break even?
{Editor's note - It looks likely that City and Chelsea will both struggle to break even atm}

Editor - Also Bruce Buck and Roman are both campaigning for there to be a salary cap on players wages.

Q: Are they worried because United can pay top wages and they will struggle to compete with United in the market? Also with United handing out big contracts to some players, is this proof that Gill & Co are telling the truth when they have said United will comfortably be able to stay withing the new regulations? {ed's note - every club, other than the ones with the biggest income, would benefit from a salary cap, of course Chelsea want one, it is not about competing with United, it is about Europe. No, paying big salaries is no proof that you are within the new regulations, it just means you have to pay big money to keep the players you have. Though United should be safely within the regulations.}

Editor - Does this just prove what i have been saying all along? That Chelsea will no longer be in the market for big signings because they cannot afford their fees and their wages? Is this why they tried nabbing Neymar for 16.6m but refused to up their bid? They also know that as he plays for Santos he will be on a very low wage so they can pay him a mere 50k a week and he would be delighted with that amount. Whereas Torres would cost upwards of 40m and his wages would be 150k a week upwards?

Q: Can we ignore any top players being linked to Chelsea as we know they cannot afford them? {ed's note - simple answer is no, they could still go out and splurge on a player, but it is very unlikely they will, they are moving in a different direction now.}

GK situation - Forget Akinfeev, Neuer, Lindegaard etc - United will buy Rene Adler - german no1 before the world cup, but unfortunately got injured. Does anyone remember him attending a united/liverpool game last season or the season before?

Personally I don't think that the initial price of a player is the problem with united it is the wage bill because gill has said the wage policy is to not go above 50% of the turnover in a year so when giggs scholes neville vds retire there is a huge weight lifted off our shoulders and plus with the departures of ;
carrick for either 10 million or px for ashley young or luka modric
anderson for either 15 million or px for hamsik or diego
bebatov for 18 million or px for a
lahm or schweinsteiger or muller
hargreaves for 6million
owen 3 million
maybe patrice evra for 25 million or px for kaka
then also the possible arrivals
darren bent for 18million and owen
steven defour for 11 million
marek hamsik for px or 23 million
sergio aguero for 20 million
fernando llorente for 15 million
hulk for 20 million or anderson and 8mil
lukas podolski for 12 million
phil jagielka 15 million plus brown
gary cahill for 12 million
sneijder for 35 million or px berbatov and 20 million
javi martinez for 12 million

theres lots more but these in my opinion are the most likely ones but only one striker and one cm and cb will be signed if any and it is all down to wage bill
and that's why i think the evra px might happen because we px evra and 20 million for kaka and that would work and plus berbatov for schweinsteiger because berbatov is not worth what he is getting paid

@Huntelaar? Seriously? Stick to FIFA manager mate!
i do not play fifa manager, also huntelaar would fit in well at utd hes been struggeling at milan and madrid but he would do well in the prem alex is a long term admirer of him would work well with hernandez

Is this the same Huntelaar that actually plays for Schalke? Has got 6 goals in ten games but not a fast enough player with the ball im afraid this would be another Berbatov situation!
i know hes is now at schalke he is a different player to berbatov he has talent he has good pace and a good finisher he would play well with hernandez and rooney but we know rooney is leaving soon huntalaar would bang in 20 goals a season in the premI understand what u mean when u say he has pace but his finishing is as good as Berba's was at Spurs and his predatory skills seem to have eluded him now who's to say that won't happen again? I think he is to similar in style and shape to Macheda and with how Fergie loves him I see him being Utd's 4th striker berth with Rooney, Berba and Chicha next year.

I also see other area's being far more important to strengthen so im sure another ST is prob off cards.

What you think ED?
{Editor's note - It is the midfield that needs sorting out.}
agreed ed who do u think we need in midfield? i wud like 2 see hamsik or miguel veloso in midfield i think veloso has just moved so it wud be a no go
THE HEMMINATOR {ed's note - Banega, Javi Martinez and Defour would be my suggestions for your midfield.}

i agree with that ed all look good ecspecially banega have liked for 5 years now is a quality player and we could get him on the cheap at he is highly underestimated
THE HEMMINATOR
