yes an in the know twitter account has finally said it United in for Wesley Sneijder

Believable9 Unbelievable78

I would historically laugh if we did eventually sign him, 3 years after we werde meant to!

Agree0 Disagree0

God I hope not he's past it and sucks now

Agree1 Disagree1

Not to mention the fact that Galatasaray would want around 15m euro for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Thiago > Fabregas> Fellaini> Ozil> Sneijder

Roll on deadline day haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Him and Bebe. GET IN!

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh god nooooo! might as well go for shearer again as well then!

Agree0 Disagree0

I sincerely hope this (as always) isn't true. He's fat past his best. I just wish we'd sort it out & pay the money for Fellaini.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yay! It wouldn't be a transfer window without this rumour!

Agree2 Disagree0

I guess we all would love to have Fellaini now. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha makes me laugh how people are calling him past it just because they haven't seen him play much as he's joined Galatasaray, maybe he's not as good as a few years ago but the fact is he would vastly improve our team and I would welcome the move. Only problem is he's likely to be still on astronomical wages?

Agree0 Disagree1

Sorry what I meant to say is why the hell should we sign a guy who is just in it for the money moved to turkey which is a very low league, let him rot there he made his bed he will never be remembered for being a great footballer just a guy who wanted a big payday

According to respected journalists Andy Mitten, Gareth Bale was offered to the club for £60 million plus Hernandez. Manchester United said no, this were the rumour the other day has come from.

Believable7 Unbelievable68

If Andy Mitten says that was the case then it's true. and I'm glad we turned them down!

J - Stand

Agree0 Disagree0

Utd would not have turned this down 3 rd choice striker and £60 million for bale

Agree0 Disagree5

Jaimej70, 60 million is too much for Bale let alone Hernandez. I think it is a right decision by the club.

Agree6 Disagree0

Rubbish. The offer the other day was from Bayern.

Agree2 Disagree0

Bale isn't worth 60m end of

Agree4 Disagree0

Bale wants the RM move so why would Spurs offer him to us, it's his decision where he goes.

Agree1 Disagree1

Some of the fees being talked about for Bale are ridiculous, he just isn't worth any more than £45m.

Agree3 Disagree0

Spurs now in for Erikson how are they signing players that would walk into our side

Agree3 Disagree0

Simple jaimej79. Spurs have money to invest, our money has gone to the Glazers. so we have none to spend on players. Moysie has been told to make the right noises!

Agree2 Disagree1

More rubbish. The Glazers have no restraints on our current transfer activity. United have always negotiated professionally.

You discuss the odd million as if it is nothing. The reason United are such a well run club, with budgets and they look after the pounds.

Agree3 Disagree5

29 Aug 2013 11:54:18
Story in the paper this morning that Hernandez is on his way to Spurs. Hopefully it's not true, but if it is, why would they do that? To raise money to buy someone else? If so, he's worth a lot more than £15million.

Agree0 Disagree0

To raise money to pay up the debt. we're buying no one.

Agree2 Disagree0

and some breaking transfer news from united, Angelo Henriquez to Real Zaragoza for the season.

Believable42 Unbelievable5

That should be a good loan move for the kid if he can get a run of games it will benfit Manchester United and the kid himself

Agree2 Disagree0

TV is reporting that Baines has asked Everton to let him leave to United. He has asked the chairman to work out a deal with United. We could be in for a very hectic deadline.

Believable36 Unbelievable17

Baines is 29 and knows this is his final chance to make it big in his career. He must force a move if he fancies playing in the big time.

Agree1 Disagree1

Sydney!
What do you reckon, will Evra be sold if Baines comes in? I don't see that hurry from MUFC (to sell Evra) therefore I feel Baines is not a transfer target this season. Since arrival of Baines would mean selling Evra the deal would have to be completed bit early IMO and there is no urgency with little time left.

Agree0 Disagree0

PR, I think MU have been looking at Baines to replace Evra for a couple years now, but it's difficult for two reasons 1) Baines is expensive and given his age it's a risk, 2) Evra will need to be sold and there doesn't seem to be any interest in him from anywhere. I said month's ago that it will be difficult to bring players in if we cannot sell players. I think that has been the case.

Agree1 Disagree0

I hope this isn't true nor happens as we do not need him right now or at all. We need players in midfield

Agree3 Disagree0

Evra at 32 cannot play all the EPL games and CL games at 100%. We need an effective back up. Contrao? But baines has proven himself in the EPL so using him interchangeably with Evra in the Premier Lg and Evra for CL won't be bad. If the price is reasonable!

Agree0 Disagree0

mbd

Love the way all you United fans think Evra is better than Baines. Are you all clueless or something.Bainsey created the second most chances in Europe last season, more than Messi, Xavi etc etc.Great on corners and free kicks, never misses pens and he's also a better defender. If you get him you'll see what I mean.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Everton would let him go for 10 million and Buttner as Buttner would really suit Martinez style of play wheres Bains would suit United

Agree0 Disagree1

Buttner to besiktas onlan for a year maybe this means Baines is coming as Fabio hasn't been that good and would leave us vulnerable if Evra is injured

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 17:48:47
Just heard from a good source that Baines has asked to leave Everton. A fresh Bid for Baines and Wiggo must be on its way.

Believable23 Unbelievable16

Neither player would add anything to the squad. Fellaini, especially, is not United quality. Moyes should have more ambition!

Agree1 Disagree2

Why do we call ourselves the biggest club in the world when its pretty obvious we are not can not see any top clubs rushing to buy hair do and baines who it looks like we are going to end up with I was brought up when the scousers were winning everything and we were more or less a cup side but we played a lot better football than now we are a big club at lining the owners pockets I would rather be a mid table side for a couple of seasons and win nothing and loose money just to get rid of the yanks with hair do and baines we might just win the league but we had better hope we do not get a tough draw in champ league or we are screwed ps somebody should tell moyes to shut up now about transfers because season tickets have sold out a red fan and a lot of the stuff kloot says is right

Agree1 Disagree2

I'm 50/50 I don't think Wiggo is one of the world class players we should be going for, but I feel he will add more steel to our central Mid.

Just hoping we get the flair player were all hoping for.

Agree2 Disagree2

'Just heard from a good source' what a load of cr@p!

You've just been reading news reports on the internet.

Agree2 Disagree0

Just wait and see Ozwald. You shall see.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reading the news reports on the internet is a good source! Better than ' a mate of mine who knows a woman who works in the ticket office' rubbish!

J - Stand

Agree0 Disagree0

'My mates dad empties Moyes bins and he heard him talking about'

Agree1 Disagree0

I just don't understand some people, they just live in an immature glitzy dream world. Since roy keane left we have been crying out for someone to be a big presence in midfield. fellaini might not be the glamorous real madrid style signing that some people dream about but last year he scored 15 from midfield? When did cleverly and co ever do that. Sometimes you need to be practical he isn't a fancy dan but he is very very effective and would be playing with better players at old Trafford . get him quick if you ask me

Agree5 Disagree1

Simzdav well said! Look how weak Utd looks when crosses come in . We need Fellaini

Agree1 Disagree0

mbd

What if, just what if, we kept Evra where he is and used Baines as a winger?? Just a though. We don't have a flying left winger?

Agree0 Disagree0

More lies eminating from UTD.You make me laugh saying that Chelsea are a classless club because they are after Rooney yet you conveniently forgot about your club telling us that we are holding back are players.Double standards don't you think.I hope neither player signs for you, only because it seems most of your fans don't even want them.Do you really think that David Moyes would sign them if they are not going to improve your team?.Anyway other than that little rant I wish you good luck this season!.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul1878 all I can say to that is " I've never been on any other teams forumive never felt the need"

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 17:43:26
So spurs all but signed lamela! Are we going to sign a body at all!

Believable22 Unbelievable5

Lets not go signing players for the sake of it. We need better than already at the club. Do you really want to buy players for the sake of saying we bought somebody and then call them a donkey in 3 weeks. Be patient fellow reds.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 17:37:28
Sam Wallace at the independent has reported that baines has asked Everton to do a deal with us. Personally I hope this isn't true, lb isn't where we need to strengthen.

Believable17 Unbelievable8

I think left back is a position that definitely needs sorting. Two games in and Evra's constantly getting caught out of position just the same as the last 2 seasons.

Agree0 Disagree0

@Databass - I do hope your joking! Evra was shocking at defending against Chelsea! Caught out of position, loosing his mark on numerous occasions! Granted he is good at going forward but I feel it's time he was replaced

Agree0 Disagree0

Evra never stoped attacking as wing backs get older they usually stay back and wait to see what happens sometimes the team loses the ball sometimes they don't Evra is constantly up their wether we lose the ball or not

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 17:17:04
Nani to Juve for 10M.

Believable20 Unbelievable22

#highfives ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Do we really need to get rid of him young is more of a priority to get rid not nani

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 17:00:21
Lamela deal done. Bale should be gone anytime now. Hopefully unlock on transfer activity.

Believable13 Unbelievable5

The problem is after a whole summer " deal done" rumours, expect a signing in next 48hrs, Garay, thiago, cesc, ozil, ronaldo, bale, lewandowski, gundogan, we will end up with Fellaini, and that isn't certain.
That is the type of player Moyes likes, solid but not too skill full or artistic.
He doesn't seem to like kagawa, shouldn't we be seeing Adnan, Powell, lingard, on the bench each game and given some time instead of giggs, surely giggs can see he is stopping the kids coming through.

Agree2 Disagree1

Press reporting than Baines has asked Everton to agree a transfer to United. Eds is there any possability of a big name signing for use before the window shuts, you have mentioned Fellanini(not the big name we are all hoping for) any more.

Cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozil staying at Madrid with the looks of things.

Believable29 Unbelievable8

If Bale signs for Madrid, Ozil will leave IMO.

Agree1 Disagree3

This must be one of most painful transfer windows in the history of Manchester United! It's like we are just being teased by players on purpose

Agree1 Disagree0

Belfz

I think that we're not doing enough to get our targets. If there's any other issue I'd be very worried.

Agree0 Disagree0

This has become an increasingly common practise by both players and their agents to link themselves with other clubs in order to increase their wages at their current club, without ever really having an interest in leaving in the first place. I am certain DM will only have had a genuine interest in a very small number of players, and I still think/hope 1 or 2 of those will be joining us before the window closes.

Agree0 Disagree1

28 Aug 2013 12:37:40
Press reporting that Ozil's advisors and his father are in Manchester ahead of a potential €40m bid.

Believable8 Unbelievable44

That would we fantastic - let us all pray it's true!

Dave

Agree0 Disagree0

Sly reporting that he himself has denied leaving Madrid this morning

Cban

Agree0 Disagree0

But now he's come out and said he's going to honour his contract and stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a player says and does are two very very different things. don't take what ozil is saying as fact. a lot of things can happen in a short amount of time.

Agree0 Disagree2

People said this about Thiago before he join B Munich

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozil wanted 200-250k p/w that's why he's staying in madrid

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 11:05:06
AS in Spain are reporting that we are going to make a 50 million Euro bid for Ozil today.

Believable5 Unbelievable32

AS want to make their minds up! They are now saying that Ozil has been signing shirts in the Bernabeu shop and that he has said he will be staying at RM.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozil has stated while signing shirts in Madrid that he's happy and has no intention of leaving (tv)

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 08:49:04
I've heard that Ozil has had his representatives contact united twice now. I trust this information & ask why have we not acted on this? Do people think he's not a 'Moyes' type player? Fellaini & Ozil would give us the best 11 in the league. Probably the beat midfield too!

Believable16 Unbelievable19

I have heard 2 things about this one is we are interested the other which I heard first was we didn't fancy him, also seems like he wants 200k p/w in spain due to new taxation laws, maybe he wants 200k p/w here

I have no idea on that, they are obviously just rumours

Agree0 Disagree1

I suspect the wages of £200k pw might be a detracting factor.

Agree2 Disagree0

Obviously he's not a Utd or moyes 'type' player because he would cost more than 20m

Agree0 Disagree2

I'd think as soon as bale is signed we'll have him then and not before, that's I'd we actually want him that is

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is the case it will no doubt be a different view of valuation and appropriate wages. It may also be a case of waiting for Bale to sign to start the transfer chain or in contrast this could be the delay on Bale going? I'm sure its something like that which is causing the current Bale and Ozil reported strops.

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't know we haven't reacted, he could easily be one of the players that we are 'close to' as Moyes has said.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope so Fresh! Ozil is the link we need. Fellaini & Ozil. Wet dream material of a midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 07:43:46
Read on Tri&alfootball that united may have a swap deal in place for Kagawa and Gundogan.
Is it true by any chance? I won't be happy if this would happen because Kagawa is a
brilliant little attacking Midfielder.

Believable7 Unbelievable49

I did wonder when I read about the interest for Ozil, Mata etc whether Kagawa was on his way out. This sounds plausible.

Agree0 Disagree2

The only way I can see this happening is if we meet Real Madrid's reported valuation of 38m for Ozil. Moyes has identified that our central midfield is weak so I personally don't think that he would be willing to let any players that can play in the center of the park leave, especially when Kagawa is our best playmaking midfielder.

Agree1 Disagree1

Didn't Kagawa tell Klopp he wouldn't leave United as he wants to succeed here I'm sure I saw Klopp say that in an interview

Agree2 Disagree0

Im a big utd fan and what they are doing to kawaga is a joke I hope he moves back to germany!

Agree4 Disagree0

I agree with donalz. We are totally wasting this player.

Agree3 Disagree0

Pardoe - Yes that is correct. Dortmund approached the player (possibly even submitted a bid) and Kagawa told Klopp he wants to succeed at United.

Agree2 Disagree0

Just hope we keep him.his problem is not having players around him who are on the same thought level, (Rooney & RVP accepted). A cracking player!

I don't know if I am just being too optimistic but get the sense we will announce multiple signings in the next 48 hours with a big player coming in.

Believable20 Unbelievable63

I think Fellaini will be the biggest player coming in, litteraly. I also suspect a higher caliber player to be brought in

Agree2 Disagree2

Big player coming in that will be Peter Crouch then.

Agree4 Disagree0

I agree about fellaini but a lot depends on bale going to Madrid as they will have to offload some players to fund the transfer.

Agree0 Disagree0

I will be shocked if we sign anyone of note aside from Fellaini. Would love us to bring in another player, but I just don't see it happening.

Here's to me being wrong!

Agree6 Disagree0

"no value in the market & happy with squad" press release being dusted off already in the OT press room!

Whilst you have to accept not everyone wants to come to Manchester or indeed play for us the number of transfers involving quality players in this window suggests to be either;

- Our transfer team miss the boat a lot.
- We don't want to spend money.
- Or we simply lack ambition on the football side of the business.

Dave

Agree2 Disagree1

Coentrao, Fellaini are joining and likely one other as yet unknown before the window. Ozil or Modric is a maybe but then Moyes and his liking for German football maybe looking at emerging talent from the Bundesliga

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, it has been plainly clear that we want to sign Fabregas, Ronaldo etc but we don't half lack ambition. The reason we have missed out on targets so far is because our targets have been top class and valued highly by their clubs. We could have gone in for lower profile players and had guaranteed signings but we didn't, we went for the best and, thus far, it hasn't worked out.

Agree1 Disagree1

Or because people do not want to play for Moyes.

Agree1 Disagree1

Can you feel it in your waters mate?

I hope you are right. There are strong rumours suggesting we want Luiz. He is a better version of Garay, but Barcelona are very keen on him. Perhaps he will be used in a swap deal for Rooney? Perhaps Luiz & Mata and we offer a bit of cash? We can only hope ;)

Agree0 Disagree3

Sydney! Why the hell would we want a liability like sideshow Bob? And if (lets hope its not true) we are getting Fellani we will have to sack a physio/coach and replace them with Vidal Sassoon.

If we are going big I would like to see Ozil & De Maria
