Appologies if this has already been asked but have United got any interest in Draxler as he seems to be pushing for a move?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed004's Note - Thought he was pushing for Juve}

Topbomin, apparently Manchester United have shown an interest in Julian Draxler recently who in my opinion would be a very good addition, although in my opinion plays a similar role to the number 10 role that mata,januzaj, Fellaini and Rooney play, we need an out and out striker in my opinion.

Eds, any truth in the Anderson (felipe) rumours?
I am hoping so as he is a very exciting talent.
I'm also hearing a new no 9 will be at manu before deadline. but who?

Totally agree guys always reminds me of Leeds fans , are you Man U hate it

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - the problem is that the club was listed on the stock market as ManU, so a lot of people only know the club by that name.}

Manucho, our ex striker he means

Get a grip. How sad you are jumping on his back for putting manu. You probably don't know why you don't like it anyway. So sad! Move on

MJS,

I assure you we all know why we 'don't like it', there is nothing wrong with educating fans who don't know the reason either.

Personally, I don't give a sh*t what leeds fans say or have said. It is our club, if one of our fans wants to calls us Manu, fine with me. I remember lots of people saying it when growing up in Manchester. If they sang a disgusting, sickening song with the name Manchester United in it (probably already have), would we have to rename the club?

Can't believe calling the team 'manu' has invited such drivel in response. Tbh it is colloquially known as such and tbh I couldn't be bothered to type it in full.
Who cares anyway. Supporting the team is all that counts.

Please explain because I don't know why

Being offended by a term used in a song created by rival fans about the Munich disaster is not drivel, I prefer not to use that title.

{Ed007's Note - I can see your point, Simon and was always brought up to say Man Utd or just Utd but things change as years go by, young fans don't understand and as Ed001 says when the club started using it we couldn't stop people from doing the same. It was banned, blocked and filtered on the site for years mate.
A lot of older posters will still remember and so they should but let's cut the young pups a bit of slack in this marketting brand driven crazy world.}

Fair enough maybe the youngsters can "goole" it 😅

Yeah come on guys, this is such a major problem with Man U at the moment. People getting the name wrong!

I mean of all the problems at the moment this is surely number 1? I know we're about to offload one of the best goalkeepers in the world and have no attacking options or depth and a manager who's strategies date back to Noah's Ark, but seriously this is what needs to be sorted out first and foremost.

I suggest a new website to sort this out once and for all. Great to see you all doing such sterling work and really caring for the club. Top marks to all.

Blackett to Celtic on loan

Evans to WBA permanently

Surely 1 defender is coming in?

Not to mention the new bid from Chelsea for Stones is rejected. Hopefully we have a deal sorted for Stones already. Would be a great move for United and even better for the England team. If Smalling, Stones, Jones and Shaw can gel together for club, it would be that much easier for England

Blackett on loan to celtic? Hopefully it's not van dyjk coming

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Nah, Utd seen van Dijk as back-up and the player wasn't interested in that. The amount of CBs Utd have lost out on might have pushed him up that list now but the deal to Southampton has looked a certainty for months unless there's a late bid from elsewhere, maybe Everton and a very outside chance of Newcastle along with a couple of teams on the continent whose names escape me right now, I'm sure one was Mainz and there was a French mob sniffing about as well.}

I like your thought process amz, but for me Jones was good with potential when we bought him and he hasn't really improved as much as we'd hoped. A big season for him this season because he's getting to an age where he has to kick on or move on. Personally, I can't see him getting much football this season and especially if we signed Stones - I don't think we will - as he'd pretty much be 5th or even 6th choice centre back and 3rd choice right back.

MDH, Jones has stalled due to the amount of injuries he's had. On the odd occasion he's been fit enough to have a run of games he's been very good. With Evans gone and Blackett on loan it only leaves Smalling, Jones, and Rojo as our only experienced center backs, with McNair as the only one without much experience. The way smalling has played has made him a definite starter. We've got Rojo to come into the squad and we're not sure on Jones yet. Any center back signing would fit next to Smalling, with Rojo a rotational option. Competing for 4 trophies means we need depth in each position. Right now, if Smalling picks up an injury, we'd be stuck with either a fairly inexperienced McNair or Michael Carrick dropping back

You are forgetting blind who has played very well far better than I expected, I know he hasn't come across the likes of arguero or costa but he is doing a good job so far, also his passing from defence to midfield which l v g loves

Agree Phil.

Jones gets injured too much, isn't that great on the ball and gets caught out of position. His best attribute is "getting stuck in" and that seems to cause injuries.

Amz, I hope he proves me wrong as I always do with United players, but I predict he will play less than 20 games this season and be sold next summer.
