Believable1 Unbelievable19

Portuguese press have claimed that his preferred move would be to City. There's no accounting for taste!

interesting observation; Moyes has clearly told MUTV reporters to stay away from the subject of incoming transfers - i'm going to put 2+2 together and say something is brewing that they want to keep quiet

Just read that guarin, vucinic swap may be back on. If so hopefully strengthen our chances of getting vidal. But i'd bet almost definatley in the summer.

Mixed news for United.

On the plus side - Fulham look set to sign Olympiacos forward Kostas Mitroglou. He scored 17 goals in 19 appearances this season including 3 in the Champions League and was the top scorer in the Superleague with 14 goals in a 21 game season (although he only appeared in 12 of them).

The bad news is that Olympiacos will have £14m to spend. Whether or not they're able to attract any big name signings remains to be seen though.

Believable13 Unbelievable2

Thats great news still it will be a hard game in greece they are very decent team.

Wayne Rooney has agreed a new long term contract at Manchester United, which will see his wage rise to 300k a week and will ensure he remains the highest paid player in the Premier League.

Rooney's decision to commit his future to Manchester United comes after the record signing of Juan Mata from Chelsea.

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Aguero was on around £300k a week before his new and improved deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Mata arriving helped but the £300k a week may well of been the deal cruncher here!

Agree0 Disagree0

This was done days ago! Holding our club to ransom yet again. Just wish he would move on, could get someone more committed for that!

Agree1 Disagree0

Not even anywhere near worth that amount. that type of money is around what bale and ronaldo are on, and they are far better players!

there's a lot of rumours suggesting kroos is maybe on his way out? any news on this for this window or is it more likely to be in the summer?

Some morning and evening papers
Saying a deal might be on for Javi
Martinez .Their was a rumour last
night that he was seen with De Gea!
Come on agent De Gea get us another
worldie!!

Believable13 Unbelievable17

I hope the newspapers from England are right.
To me he's THE perfect solution. Great passer, strong, good in the air and he's not as dirty as Fellaini or Vidal.
(Fellaini and Vidal are great players, but in the european stage referees tend to be less condecendend in terms of forceful plays).

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love this but can't see it happening. If any of the EDs are around is there interest in Martinez from united or is this just rumors?

6.5m move of fernando looks close.
Nothing wrong considering the price quoted. If move backfires that's not much money to loose. even bebe costed more.
But chances of failing him is less as he is a real hard worker like ramires of chelsea.

Hope we pull this off.
This window would also see no lb comming in. so we need to see for 5 more months evra out of position.

Believable8 Unbelievable12

I think Patrice is one of the best left fulls around, yeah he's slacked slightly the last few games, but he's been fantastic so far, he'll easily see out the rest that is considering he's not injured.

Agree3 Disagree2

Would be a very good January move. His price is low, but he wants a decent sized signing-on fee apparently. So it would still be a pretty cheap signing which will see us through til the summer. Fernando and Shaw would be great. I wouldn't be surprised if we signed nobody else mind.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think he would be an excellent signing, especially for that money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thinking about this, it does make a lot of sense and looks like one of the more realistic signings in january.

Hi ed's do you know if united will bid for fernando reges of porto by the end of the window. And do you think we could get another player in by friday.

Many thanks

Believable7 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Maybe.}

28 Jan 2014 13:43:00
ed, do we actually have interest in kroos? bayern seem open to letting him go, would be a perfect signing for us seen as vidal is looking like it won't happen

Believable5 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - There has been no offer made.}

28 Jan 2014 12:36:14
Ed002 is there a possibility toni kroos could sign for us in this window?

Believable5 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - I wouldn't think it likely.}

28 Jan 2014 12:35:48
Ed002, how real is Monaco's interest in Hernandez? If it's real, do you see him moving in this window? Thanks.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - It should be clear this evening Syd.}

Thanks Ed. Can you give us the heads up before the media gets there first?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It depends on several factors Syd.}

Ed, is it true Spurs may try and jump in?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They have a sustained interest.}

If we sell to spurs, then it needs to be at an over inflated price! Levy has held us to ransom before and needs the same done back.

Agree1 Disagree0

Straight swap for Sandro if they want?

Agree1 Disagree0

Sydney! If hernandez were to leave would you want or expect a replacement, or would you prefer to see the young lad henriquez given a good crack at stepping up and tryin to prove himself? I can't get over his goalscoring record at youth team levels and personaly would like to find out if he could step up and do the same for first team!

Agree0 Disagree0

Domi, I suspect Will Keane would fill-in until the summer.

ESPN are reporting that Chicharito has signed with AS Monaco, personally don't believe it but it is the rumour I've read.

Believable4 Unbelievable16

28 Jan 2014 12:26:47
Does the £7 million rumoured move for Fernando have legs? Would add some much needed bite in midfield, we would still need the creative spark of Koke or Kroos but he would be an excellent squad player and would top us up nicely for summer.

Juventus are still keen on Nani, it only makes sense for him to go. Apparently they are preparing a cash plus Domenico Berardi for Nani. Berardi is a very exciting young Italian striker who scored 4 the other week. Don't know much about him but am always open for a part exchange if it could be beneficial - especially for a player that we don't need or want.

Believable4 Unbelievable10

Find it hard to believe, Berardi is a very exciting talent and one that Juve regard quite highly, why would they offer him in a part ex for an under-performing winger who's much older.

Agree2 Disagree0

How do they offer us a player who is only co-owned by them?

Agree0 Disagree0

Let us all pray and hold out breath.

Agree0 Disagree0

If were praying let's pray they hae a mind melt and offer us cash plus vidal! Ok ok maybe so that might just be pushing it a tad. Bit if they really want nani which seems to be the case as this has been reported for a good while let's give them him plus cash for vidal.

I wasn't going to post this but I thought it may be worth while. I have been speaking to a "mate" whom works for Chevrolet EU! Now apparently and you can shoot me down in flames the reason for mata not being offered the number 7 shirt was because Chevrolet are willing to fund the transfer of. yes you guessed it. ronaldo back to united during the summer when they take over as the official shirt sponser! . I like many of you will say naaaaaaa never going to happen. then two things were thrown my way. one my "mate" said that during last summer u may remember united wanting to bring forward the sponsorship for ronaldo to return. which didn't happen and so the transfer didn't happen. secondly I was sent a picture by him. a mock up of a advertisement. That states CR7 with the Chevrolet badge copyright 2014 which if proof is needed and u guys tell me how to show u I can provide. Take this how u will but maybe. just maybe.

Believable23 Unbelievable44

May be it could be true but if we don't get top 4 which at the minute is 50-50 then I don't think there is a chance he will come back

Agree2 Disagree0

Dont want him back, too much money and too old. leave it be and get someone else.

Agree1 Disagree7

Ronaldo too old, heard it all now. He's not even 30.
I don't believe it but would be over the moon like 99.99% of other United fans if it happened.

Agree4 Disagree0

RedKez,

Post the image on the Manchester United Sightings tab

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would Chevrolet sanction spending £150m+ on getting Ronaldo to play for United, the guy who signed the shirt deal was fired by Chevrolet soon after for spending so much money. Surely if Chevrelot want Ronaldo to be their brand ambassador then pay him £10m up front and make a few posters, lot cheaper.

Agree2 Disagree0

Put it on the sightings page mate, I however doubt this in any shape or form.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope this is correct redkez, can't see it personally but props for putting yourself out there. Annoys me when people are borderline abusive to someone sharing a rumour on a rumours page. I think he'll return but it'll be in the twilight of his career. As for Ronaldo being "to old" he's the best player in the world, and in his prime.

Agree4 Disagree0

Would love it, although it is unlikely. You do wonder what special player the number 7 is being held for though? If Madrid can with the CL and Ronaldo has just won the Balon d'Or he may feel that he has achieved everything that he can and wants to come back. Calderon has said that he will be back in England soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

If this were true then we have just missed the perfect time to grab him and it would have cost a maximum of £86m. I think this ship has sailed sadly, perhaps when he's in his 30's he will return?

Agree1 Disagree0

Quite clearly Ronaldo has moved on, why can't we? IF he returned then it's going to push another player out that couldcoming to his prime while Ronaldo would be in his 30's as he isn't coming back anytime soon.
People really clutch at straws and that sligh glimmer of light.
£80 odd million for Ronaldo or people like Reus, Vidal, Gundogan etc that would easily strengthen the side for years to come.

Agree2 Disagree0

The only time Ronaldo goes on about coming back is when a new contract is in the offing maybe he wants a new one year extension to last years contract

Agree2 Disagree0

Chevrolet are making a Corvette CR7, but the whole rumour about the Ronaldo connection already did the rounds about a year ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree with pardoe on this one. Ronaldo just uses United's name when he needs a better contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

RedKez, I don't doubt we were interested last summer but I think that boat has sailed for at least a few years.
