Absolute morons, whether people like the guy or not he is a human being and does not deserve this. This minority of so called fans have taken the toxicity to a new level.

Ed002 and Ken would be like a Seal Team 6 Infiltration.

Tongue n cheek comment

But that's the only bit of news coming out of man utd that's true and something was bound to flare up.

I bet EW is already working on sponsors for flares

On a real note. disgusting behaviour by a Toxic minority of imbeciles.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 23:40:03
There is no excuse for this kind of behaviour. Whatever people think of how someone does his or her job, you don’t attack them or their family home. It’s embarrassing for grown adults to be doing this. I am embarrassed by this. I hope they are prosecuted.

Agree8 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 23:51:53
No laughing matter at all Griffin. Shamed the club. This is football. It should NEVER be personalised beyond voicing opinion.

Agree6 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 00:00:12
Absolutely disgraceful I hope they find who did it and send them to jail and ban them from every football ground. Sky and BT should cancel any sports subscriptions they have too. Being passionate is fine but never like this.

Awful news about Eds home getting attacked. I just post similar on the other page.

For what it’s worth I’m not condoning this behaviour Cheshire. It’s beyond disgusting.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 02:24:49
This is simply disgusting behaviour. These knuckle draggers are representing us. We must stand together to condemn this abhorrent behaviour. Imagine if Ed's family had been there alone.

This stems and escalates from the singing of the songs in the ground. I hope people realise how this poison needs to be stopped, whether it is songs aimed at Liverpool, or Glazers or Woodward there are lines that should not be crossed. The acceptance of the singing in the grounds leads to idiots like these thinking it is funny or amusing to threaten death and cause violence.

Agree6 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 02:52:52
I hope they are found and punished accordingly.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 04:20:02
Totally unacceptable from those fans.
Woodward's family may get mentally traumatized from these kind of inhuman behaviors.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 07:05:01
Absolute morons. This is the reason why Ed002 won't explain who is doing what at United at board level.

Ed Woodward doesn't have a lot of love amoungst the United fan base, but attacking his home is the lowest of the low. That is his family home, his wife and kids live there.

By all means sing chants at games (not death threats though, or wishing someone dead), have a march, unfurl banners and demonstrate against the man if you're unhappy and blame him. But don't commit criminal acts, and don't involve his family. That's simply disgusting.

Agree9 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your spot on shappy, that was disgusting mate..

29 Jan 2020 07:54:19
Obviously those people are not representative of United fans. Every fanbase sadly has its rotten apples.

Disgusting stuff indeed, and luckily the Woodward family wasn't home (if I recall correctly) . Hopefully they'll be able to deal with this from a psychological point of view and move on.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 08:34:47
I doubt there's one amongst us who doesn't want him out of the club, or at least his current all-encompassing role, but this type of behaviour can never be condoned.

Sadly, this is a reflection on the way things have gone in Britain over recent years, with the toxicity and personal attacks seen over Brexit (on both sides) and in politics in general. When you normalise this kind of behaviour in politics, it's inevitable that the thugs will feel like they can do it in other areas too.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 09:47:53
Not guilty and appalled by it all.
Disgusting.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 09:58:02
Totally appalling and if they do want rid of him then its the worst thing they could have done. The club, board, owners, media and pundits will all rally round him now (as they should) . Some people never think they just act like complete morons.

What was the sun reporter doing there should be the real question. Who invited him and why was he filming and nobody cared?

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 12:50:11
I’m throwing this out there.

I’m calling Fake News here’s why:

1. No body home gone 8pm on weekday. No kids, no dogs, no family. very lucky coincidence.
2. Timed to coincided with press briefing we are about to land Bruno
3. Comments in newspapers how Woodward closed Bruno and was personally leading.
4. Employed an ex Sun journo to lead PR and to sort out Woodward’s image.
5. Press cover the bonfire chant despite it being sang for years.
6. Sun on scene of the event?
7. No damage just flares. I am from Manchester trust be there would be bricks thrown, pee in bottles. all sorts. There’s some right animals up here.

Smells like a setup to me. Just like the tweets we are seeing from sun journalists. orchestrated.

If it’s not fake they 100% knew it was happening and played to their own ends.

Hopefully this ok Ed’s but just a train of thought I’ve had. Something just doesn’t seem quite right. Maybe I have trust issues?

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 13:27:33
What a totally weird post.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 13:47:36
Eric, it is odd.

I think there a quite a few coincidences with timings of briefings last night on Bruno and Ed being the hero (7pm GMT), 8PM his house gets a flare thrown the the garden and filmed by some cretinous individuals.

It also seemed relatively tame in respect to what I’ve witnessed when it comes to football hooligans.

Like it or not we’ve aligned ourselves with the Sun via Ashton. Sun have exclusive content and have video direct from the event (either sold/ passed or recorded by them) .

It doesn’t quite add up. I’m sure the police will have little problem catching one of the 20, let’s see if anyone gets charged.

On face value yes, no excuse and disgusting but I’m sure there’s more to this than meets the eye.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 13:55:47
I can't believe The United Stand have been quoted on the BBC, they are getting more and more media access it seems, which is odd considering how poor the content is.

Interesting theory Utd Road. Either way, just puts the side of football culture that I loathe to the front. People seriously need to get a life.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 14:00:53
Sorry for the my comments the other day Ed, but I guess I was proved right. I’ll keep off here from now on.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - There are a few bad apples everywhere, but a reasonable person would think that the other day, you posted that all Man United supporters are bad.

29 Jan 2020 15:15:38
I agree Utd road, Woodward wants to look a certain way and doing this will stop a lot of negative chants and work in his favour.

Agree4 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 16:40:43
Lerky, I really don't think you want to go down that road, fella. Not unless you happen to support the only team in the world without it's quota of cockwombles. And my brother is a Liverpool fan, so I know that's not true :)

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 18:27:31
It would be abhorrent to even think the club would be involved in such a situation, my view is from what I see on social media and it makes perfect sense to me that a complete bunch of twats would brief the press and they did.

I just hope these dickheads get caught and locked up, its completely pathetic, its football .

Fabrizio Romano has confirm United have sent a new improve offer for Fernandes. Agents seem more confident and Bruno could be travelling to Manchester as soon as tomorrow.

Let's hope the club seal this deal.

Took us all month to pay what he's worth, amazing.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 19:36:32
No it took Barcelona to enter the fray now it's up to the player I'm not sure he's gonae pick us I would imagine his mrs would rather stay in Barcelona than rainy Manchester hope I'm wrong tho.
If he does choose Barcelona them we only have ourselves to blame this deal should've been done weeks ago we have allowed barcelona into this deal when we had a clear run .

28 Jan 2020 19:59:58
Still so much negativity - for god sake cheer up - looks like we have a great signing.

What a waste of a month if we have just paid what Sporting were asking all along.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 20:14:41
Hard not to be negative tbh when we seem to be clowns in every facet of the club but you are right, a very good player if he signs, build the team around type of signing I'd dare say.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 20:34:40
We have got him for a good price and not what they wanted at all, good deal, thank god.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 21:10:52
No getting excited until. i know it's done and dusted its not negative it's just history of this club when it comes to transfers.
I will be ecstatic if it does go through this is just one of the pieces to get us back fighting.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 21:15:35
I thought the whole Barcelona rumour sounded ridiculous.

Barcelona spend 55m on a player (Bruno) so they can loan him to Valencia to sweeten a deal for a 50m rated striker (Rodrigo) .

Which gets even sillier when you consider Jorge Mendes has been brought in by Sporting to help move Bruno Fernandes. The same Jorge Mendes who has an excellent relationship with Peter Lim the owner of Valencia. So why would Valencia want Barcelona to buy one of their targets so they could loan him, just at a time when they receive a fee for one of their players in the same region cost wise as the player they would like to buy.

It's bonkers, and probably absolutely horse 💩. If Barcelona want to sweeten a deal for Rodrigo they could probably do it for significantly less than the 55m it would cost to sign Bruno.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 21:23:27
Well hopefully Bruno realises that Barcelona only want him, so they can loan him out to get the signing they really want which is a striker from Valencia I believe
Depends on what Bruno wants from his career, To be worshiped at MUFC or quite easily be a bench warmer at Barcelona, Hopefully he makes the right decision and is an absolute star for us . Just the pick me up us fans need right now. Feel more comfortable tho when he is pictured holding up our shirt.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 21:47:16
Good to finally get our man. But isn't the £70m basically what they were asking for from the beginning?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 23:22:46
It’s £46m + add ons so a pretty good deal, we won’t mind paying the add ons if he does well.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 01:47:12
Rock the red - his wife might fancy being a beach warmer in Barcelona though.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 09:07:04
The one saving grace of this whole farce is that it does seem that the deal which has finally been agreed is in fact a decent compromise between what we wanted and what they wanted, not just a panicked last minute capitulation.

The lower starting fee is what the club apparently wanted, but the add-ons mean Sporting should get the bigger fee they wanted eventually.

I'm probably just still drunk from last night, but I can't help wonder whether Ed maybe isn't quite as incompetent as we thought?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 16:32:47
According to TVI24, Manchester United have offered Sporting 55M / € (+10 in addons) for Bruno Fernandes . The proposal must be accepted. Barcelona and Valencia have been spoken to but the player does not want to go there.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Jan 2020 18:15:55
Why would he not want to go to Barca.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 18:30:40
It's not happening. Best forget it. Can't see where he fits at barca (when he eventually plays) but with a new manager they maybe have a new plan/ tactic moving forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 18:34:51
Did you not see grim he is desperate to join us.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 18:46:20
He does not want to go to Valencia for a loan. Supposedly.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 19:55:58
I wouldn't put it by us to know that he's already agreed to go to Barcelona so to appease the fans they upped the bid knowing fine well he's already agreed to join barcelona and they can say they tried to get him.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 20:10:59
And now he is on a plane tomorrow to Manchester, football eh.

Rumours of Barcelona in for Bruno now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Jan 2020 13:57:49
"Manchester unitrd were never in serious talks for fernandes, it was all propoganda orchestrated by sporting and spread via the Portuguese press to force a sale this month. The club are fully focused on the rebuild and will push forward with the targets they have identified for the summer" my guess is that will come out Thursday via Simon Stone or Samuel luckhurst. All utter BS but they will peddle it none the less.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 14:03:17
On a serious note and how far we have fallen. Spurs enquire about Bergwyn. Two days later he his having his medical.

Where as we spend alomst 4 weeks chasing Bruno and we are still no closer to signing him.

The board, The manager, The so called superstars in our team are dismantling this club brick by brick.

I fear for our future as a footballing power house.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it goes in cycles RTR, united will be back mate believe me..

28 Jan 2020 14:09:16
Tim_99 what rebuild is this? To bring back Alexis. LOL it's just laughable. There is no rebuild, there is no plan. Nobody from the top down knows what they are doing at United.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 14:50:02
I know that mate, I was just paraphrasing the BS the club will put out via their media buddies to justify their incompetence. I don't buy any of it believe me.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 15:14:17
Not going to happen until they get rid of those running it at the moment ed025.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - changes will be made angel but they need to be, for me it would be the owners and their puppet woodward but of course thats just me mate..

28 Jan 2020 15:33:43
Cycles is nonsense. If you are run badly and don't make the right decisions then you struggle. Liverpool have proved that! They've got good owners now who back the unbelievable manager they have and look at the difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 15:34:26
Can only hope Club saving their money for “rebuild” in te summer, including arrival of Pochettino and Sporting Director he wants.

Have to feel sorry for Ole though, must know what’s probably going to happen now, so will have to work with what he’s got.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 17:23:18
I also agree Damon86 football doesn’t go in cycles. Why is it only in the English league football goes in cycles, you don’t see Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Dortmund or other big clubs going years not competing at the top of the table. It stems from poor running of the club, poor management that rest on their laurels. United from the position they was in thanks to Fergie if we’d planned right would of remained successful but no future planning put paid to that. As long as the clowns are still running the show United will challenge again for years.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 19:44:00
Nellym - actually other leagues do go in cycles. The difference is that in Spain for example, most of the league I'd so far behind Barcelona and Real that their down cycles just mean they are fighting A. Madrid for second. In England, the quality gap is smaller, so a bad spell drops you further down the league table.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 21:06:08
I disagree if you are a top, top team you will always be qualifying for the champions league or at least in the top few spots. Look at AC Milan for example they've been in a mess for a number of years now.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 21:45:55
Thorne- the difference being that manchester united is supposedly the biggest club in the world and after so much success we should of stayed well ahead of the chasing pack.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2020 11:24:47
froma few journos on twitter that united are close to signing Sander Berge the CM from genk. don't know if there's any truth but we shall see. Rumours are he's at Carrington for a medical.

And its a false alarm. Those muppets at the MEN really have outdone themselves this time. they tweeted about it, had it on the website, the story got picked up by all the tabloids only for it NOT to be him. Utterly embarrassing for so called professional journalists, and also for the club although this was not their doing. Apparently the player in for a 'medical' is a 15yr old Reserve Goalkeeper. You couldn't make it up lol.
