Rumours are gathering pace as we race towards July 1st.

I have heard we have funds in place to bid 28m for Thomas Mueller, that is IF Berbatov. Bayern are unlikely to sell though.

With regards to the CM situation, Alan Dzagoev is being watched but scouts have their doubts whether or not he could adapt to the premier league. The same can be said for Erik Lamela of River Plate.

Main target for AMC role is Lucas from Sao Paulo. Unfortunately, Sao Paulo do not want to negotiate for anything but silly money thanks to Santos' and the Neymar situation.

no combative midfielder.or defensive midfielder will be signed, the closest thing to that may be Banega and then we will not purchase an AMC. Pogba will be given chance behind Fletcher and Carrick for the more defensive CM's. Banega is very much a target but Valencia are reluctant to sell him now he has got rid of his problems on and off the pitch.

There will be no marquee signing unless Berbatov leaves I'm afraid, which would be Mueller. but I don't think that's a bad thing

Ever increasing rumours of a deal for Berbatov to join La Liga club Valencia in a deal worth ?Ç£14M.

Believable16 Unbelievable10

Berbatov is much better than carroll at liverpool, and he was 35 mil

Agree0 Disagree0

Berbatov is 30, 31 in January. He cannot possibly command a price similar to a 21 yr old Carroll

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought Valencia had cash problems?

In my opinion we would be lucky to get ?Ǭ£14M , more like ?Ǭ£12M for Berbatov mainly because of his age and the fact he was not good enough to command a place in the team during the second half of the season

We just need to ensure we re-invest the money well.

I will not reveal my sources as my uncles cousins taxman who s buds with David Gill. However, know that this is good info. and will come to pass over the next two months.

1) De Gea to sign by the end of this week. Fee in the region of 17.5 million pounds.

2) Berbatov *will* be sold, with PSG his most likely destination. Bayern Munich have been mentioned in the papers but they have zero interest. Fee is not yet agreed, expect between 10-12 million pounds when all is said and done, wages not an issue. SAF not willing to let 30 million investment walk away for nothing at the end of 2011-12, Berbatov is no longer first choice, easy decision.

3) Nani *will* be sold. Too wasteful in possession for Sir Alex s liking, and by far the most shots off target in the PL last season. Looking to cash in on a season that looks 100x better on paper than it was in reality. Juventus were interested, but their no.1 priority is Aguero. Real Madrid not interested. Shock move to Bayern Munich could be on the cards, they have enquired and were quoted 25 million pounds, but Sir Alex would be willing to sell for any amount over 20 million pounds. Young and Toni are the clear starters and are far more industrious, team-oriented players. Nani plays like he s Ronaldo, but the problem is he isn t nearly as talented, and isn t able to get away with the stuff that Cristiano did in his time at OT.

4) Wes Brown (4m), Jonny Evans (5m), and Darron Gibson (5.5m) will all be sold. Brown headed to Bolton, Evans to Wolves, and Gibbo to Newcastle. Will recoup almost 15 million to the coffers.

5) Arturo Vidal will be signed from Bayer Leverkusen for minimum fee of 14 million pounds. Arsenal interested, but refuse to pay more than 10m. Bayern Munich very interested, but Leverkusen are holding out in hope of a matching offer from a club that isn t their biggest rivals. Replaces Hargo as a skilled DMC with great passing ability and a ferocious, ball-winning style of play defensively.

6) Anderson and Carrick to each be given one more year to prove their worth as United caliber starting CMs. Top Portuguese clubs already lining up bids for next summer for Ando, Carrick a target for Sunderland.

7) Alexis Sanchez to sign from Udinese for a minimum fee of 34.5 million pounds, escalator clauses possibly rising final fee just north of 40m. Barcelona had deal 95% done this time last week, but pulled out when they caught wind of Fabregas availability for a similar price. Sanchez hates mercenary label that Man City players embody, has told his agent he will only leave Udinese for the best team in the world (Barcelona), or his favorite boyhood club (Manchester Utd). Once Sir Alex is able to offload Nani, this signing will be completed. Despite better monetary offer from the Sheikh, Udinese know he will not sign with them and thus accept United s offer. Sanchez to play all over for Utd. Top of 3 man midfield when we play 4-5-1 in Europe, trequartista, right/left wing, and occasionally striker.

8) Christian Eriksen to sign from Ajax for a fee (yet to be hashed out) of between 9-14 million pounds. Sir Alex sees him as the eventual partner for Vidal in a 2-man central midfield, he has no confidence in Carrick or Anderson realizing any untapped potential this year. Fee is a bit of a sticking point, but Sir Alex loves this kid, and will sign him this summer. Will be loaned out to a PL side (no clue yet, best guesses Sunderland, Villa, Norwich) to adapt to English game.

Believable4 Unbelievable9

The scousers signing Bridge, Adam, Henderson and Downing is going to scare the pants off .... the average Championship side. Perhaps United are just biding their time and waiting to see what happens when Barca get fed up with the shenanigans from the Udinese president. United could end up as sole bidders at this rate (We should be so lucky).

Reliable source, although may be wrong. Once De Gea is signed on friday, SAF won't be looking at anyone else until probably January next year or even in a years time. If Nasri does come through, Sneijder most definately wont. Nasri is the person we should be aiming for i feel.

----------------------------------------
Ashton is normally pretty reliable for a NOTW hack and i dont think he'd be going this public unless there was something in it. Nasris agent may be behind it but SAF is not daft, he wouldnt get involved in bidding if he knew he was being played. This is a man with over 30 years experience Fabregas being allowed to leave may well be he final nail in the coffin for Nasri, does he want to hang around while Wenger rebuilds again?

Fabregas looks certain to go to Barca in the next week or 2. He has not featured on Arsenal's promo for their new second kit. I can't see Arsenal selling Nasri as well, and especially to a league rival. Nasri has appeared on the Arsenal second kit promo, and I believe that Nasri's reps have encouraged United's interest purely to provide contract negotiation leverage. He also wants to play in the Fabregas role in the middle {Ed002's Note - I would have thought that if Arsenal are to let Fabregas leave they would want to tie down Nasri to a contract extension first.}

Gaz. In answer to your izaguirre replacing evra question and some of my own thoughts on this. He wouldn't replace but back up, to eventually take over Twins likewise on the other side. Don't believe what the agent and manager says I think his candid remarks caught them a little red face. Why would he say that? Could it be he's a back choice up to a more serious target? Something I can't figure out is up. Evra was asked to stay. Could've been to stop real getting their way with yet another of our players though I think inter were interested. But my feeling is he is proven and well liked within the dressing room. Team spirit counts for a lot. He didn't do preseason had a mentally gruelling world cup I think he'll show better this season coming. Constantine Red

They both hv exellent pace and can deliver death ball...
why do u think ED??

-RavinSneijder- {Ed002's Note - Ribery has an outstanding issue and injury concerns. Robben may want to try his luck in Italy. You may also have forgotten the arrival of Ashley Young.}

Neil Ashton is all over Twitter after his slot on talkSPORT earlier today, saying United will go all out for Nasri and and he's adamant that we will make a £25m bid this week. Don't know how reliable he is but £25m seems a tad too much for a player with 1 year left don't you think? Is he reliable?

And also, if Berbatov is sold he won't need replacing as we need not spend £30m+ on Cavani to replace a substitute. Macheda and/or Welbeck will take his place in the pecking order.
