Fabinho to Liverpool. Wow didn't see that one coming. Good player only see someone leaving them as well as Can for them to sign him. Is he any good as a keeper 😆😆.

He’s a very good player. But plenty of more fish in the sea. With Fred almost done and perhaps Milinkovic savic and we will have massively upgraded from last season.

If Fred wasn't deemed good enough to go to the World Cup *cough*Fabinho wasn't*cough* we probably would have 'under the radar' signed him by now.

GDS2, Many of us have seen him play, Monaco was an excellent team last season in the Champions League if you recall. They knocked out City and Dortmund and Fabinho was a key part of all of that. He is a very good player.

Addict, you might recall that Monaco lost Mbappe, Mendy, and Bernanrdo Silva as well as Bakoyoko. LIverpool have started the summer well, people need to admit that.

It was just tongue in cheek mate, the meltdown after the Pedro signing for something else, like we had just lost out on the 2nd coming of Jesus or something.
The Monaco team that did well had a lot of good players in it not just Fabinho, it is like saying you would be gutted we missed out on Wes Morgan after he won the premier league. Fabinho is a solid player but he was never first choice for us so no big loss.

we may not like liverpool but you have to admit they have done some cracking business for both keita and fabinho. definitely a step up from their current midfield which was shown up against the quality of Real's midfield 3.
Personally I am happy we have matic and if we can sign fred, savic to add to pogba and herrera then we have some great options. Add pereira to the mix and some youngsters and we have our strongest midfield options in years.
But there is not point having these great options if jose does not tweak the tactics and releases the shackles. You can have all the talent in the world but if you don't coach them into a cohesive attacking unit then nothing will change. Apparently McKenna will be running the first team sessions with Jose overseeing. If this is true then I will be delighted because the youngsters played some great football under McKenna. It seems we are taking steps in the right direction and I am personally really looking forward to next season.

Fair play guys, I get your point now, GDS2. I just think Liverpool have started well this summer by adding Keita and now Fabinho. But I also think Fred could be a great signing for us, and hopefully another CM if Fellaini does in fact move on. Savic sounds awfully expensive at the moment but time will tell.
And Park, I like your thoughts on what McKenna could bring tactically to the team.
{Ed001's Note - previously United were interested but Madrid did not want to sell. I can't see why they would have dropped their interest in him now. Imagine Woodward clinching that signing, it would enable him to ask for so much more when Yanmar want to put United's name on their next tractor.....}
