Hi ed002

What is the latest with the Dede deal? Is there still a chance of a move to Europe? {Ed002's Note - It is in the hands of lawyers. One club has offered to buy all of his rights and to help resolve Vasco's tax issue but the player is not keen on leaving Brazil.}

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Which club was that ed002? {Ed002's Note - It is unimportant.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Was the club that offered to buy all his rights Chelsea ed002, because I remember you had previously said that they had lodged a bid? {Ed002's Note - It is unimportant who the club was.}

Agree1 Disagree1

I thought he had signed for cruizero now?

Ed what are your thoughts about sevilla midfilder Kondogbia. Heard arsenal is intrested in him.

Sid {Ed002's Note - I never have thoughts about young men. Kondogbia only moved last summer but Arsenal and Juventus would like to take him in the summer. Begiristain has said he is interested in the player and feels that the club can work with him to be a long term replacement for Yaya Torre.}

If we can't get Lewandowski then we have to go all out for Reus.

Sir Alex watched the Dortmund game so surely he saw how good Reus was and how easily he went past the Real players. {Ed002's Note - That is not going to happen.}

Believable3 Unbelievable23

I think he was looking at Bender or Hummels? Not lewy or Gortze as everyone is thinking.
I wouldn't mind any of their attacking talent saying that.

Agree1 Disagree0

Haha why would Fergie being looking at a player that's already on his way to Bayern as in Gotze! The thing is there are half a dozen players in that Dortmund team that could come to United and improve our team whether it's Lew, Rues, Subotic, Hummels, Bender or Gundogan. They're all top quality young players so we'll have to wait and see I guess.

Ozwald

Agree1 Disagree0

When he went to game it hadnt been announced that bayern had bought him. but agree in general they have some quality young players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes it had! Was a done deal In fact Klopp had pleaded with Dortmund fans not to stage a protest and concentrate on beating Real. Klopp aslo mentioned timing that it came out was awful!

Agree0 Disagree0

The transfer came out before the bayern v dortmund game, we had sent scouts and management to games prior to this one, so what is your point? I said not looking at gotze!

Ed, whether it's to us or elsewhere, do you think Bale will leave Tottenham this summer? Especially if they don't qualify for the CL? {Ed002's Note - There is interest in him from a couple of clubs and there has to be a chance.}

Believable12 Unbelievable2

Hi edd could you tell me if united have an interest in bale? joeyored {Ed002's Note - MU have not declared any interest in him.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Levy would want megabucks and, quite rightly, SAF won't play those games with Spurs again.

Agree0 Disagree1

Ed, we tend to get on quite well? But bale will not be moving in the summer! Things change of course they do! And if they do it will be abroad and not to another english club! But at the moment and with or without cl football his intention is to stay!

I'm sure that James Rodriguez & Kevin Strootman are the two summer signing that fergie mentioned, and Robert Lewandowski is who fergie told he can find room for him even with many strikers are in squad.

Believable33 Unbelievable5

Three signings that would strengthen us considerably.

Agree3 Disagree0

Fergie wants to bring legend ronaldinho to premier league after a recomendation from fabio saying ''he's alright, got some tricks up his sleeve''

Realistic targets and transfers rumours that seem to have the most legs:
Lewandoski,
Strootman,
James Rodrigues,
new RB (Cover for Rafael as Jones seems to play better more centrally, be it in CB or CM. Ferdinand getting older aswell so will figure in less games if he stays).
Outs:
One winger, between Nani and Young,
Scholes Fletcher Retire
Anderson (many want him gone but he has impressed me when he is on form)
Like every summer we also see a few players who won't make the grade at United sold so a few younger players out.
Bebe and Macheda (Hopefully).
Would anybody sell or buy anyone different? Keep in mind this is not Football manager ;)

Yes i'd sell Anderson first one out the door. Fitness issues are atrocious. Two good games every quarter of the season and the rest of the time injured is not good enough. We've got away with it this season but what if Carrick had had a bad injury? Anderson is a liability and a waste of a squad space. Nani isn't much better and was nothing short of a disgrace yesterday. I try and back players but those two have had enough chances and i've lost all patience. Young i'd give one final season. But if he doesn't take the chance then on his bike next summer. I don't think we need to sign a right back as Fabio can provide cover there and left back. MrE

Agree2 Disagree0

Also Eds feel free to let us know how you think the Summer transfers will go for Manchester United :)
James

Agree0 Disagree0

We already have a good cover for Rafael in Valencia. I would be more concerned about our left back as he is clueless when it comes to defending and good teams with a decent right winger away know they can have some success against Evra.

I would be very happy with those 3 but again not sold on Strootman. Having said that he is better than the options we currently have.

I would prefer Modric type player to Strootman as Carrick and jones can play as defensive midfielders with modric the attacking midfielder.

Valencia and Smalling!

Agree0 Disagree0

Valencia is not good cover at RB he is fast but can't head a ball and is lacking in the tackle. Smallings future is at CB

Today's paper reporting that Man City may try to hijack Utd's deal for Lewandowski.

Believable7 Unbelievable26

Wouldn't surprise me! They don't scout players they wait until we show an interest then offer ridiculous amounts to scupper any proposed offer we put to club/player! Saying that I'm confident we are in the driving seat for his signature! Time will tell

Red MUFC

Agree1 Disagree0

Wouldn't be surprised if he did go to city, they would offer him more money.

Agree0 Disagree0

City have been interested in Lew for a while. However these "hijack" rumours are merely based on the fact Dortmund want to buy Dzeko and the journalists are thinking "straight swap".

Agree0 Disagree0

Oops, forgot to log-in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats new in it. a lot of players in that shirt were reported as united targets in press.
Dont be surprise to see chelsea in as well.

Rodio17

Agree0 Disagree0

If he wants to win more trophies he will sign for utd not city as utd have proved they can do it season agter season

002, just out of curiosity, do you see Bale or Ronaldo in a United shirt next year?

I don't think either will, but would appreciate your opinion.

Cheers beforehand! {Ed002's Note - No.}

Believable7 Unbelievable8

Ed002, if Ronaldo doesn't agree a new RM deal by this time next year, do you see him going to United then? Thanks. {Ed002's Note - Ask me in a year.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed002, I will make a note in my diary, i'll pop it right next to "who's our next manager" question ;)

Ed, sorry for asking a non United related question, but is it true City and Dortmund have agreed a swap deal between Dzeko and Reus? {Ed002's Note - No. Chelsea, Juventus, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Arsenal showed an interest in Marco Reus before his return to Dortmund last year. Recent tentative approaches made by Chelsea and Manchester City have resulted in a "not for sale" response regardless of their being a release clause in his contract. Manchester City are likely to push again as Dortmund are looking to Dzeko as a replacement for Lewandowski and will look to ease a deal through by offering favourable terms on the transfer or a contribution to his salary, but Reus is keen to stay where he is for now.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Ed002, what happens if City contribute to Dzeko's salary and Reus decides he wants to join someone other than City or permanently stay at Dortmund? Thanks. {Ed002's Note - Unrelated.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay, so City expect to contribute some of his Dzeko's salary anyway?

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - See above.}
