Apparently Walcott done a 'prolonged lap of honour' after the Arsenal game.... I know he done well today, but I'd hate him coming and Nani going the other way... Hopefully I'm looking too far into it..

I think Zaha will be the January buy not Walcott.

i'd hope so i'd be disappointed if we signed walcott and they replaced him with zaha

Don't want Zaha or Walcott. Sell Nani in the summer and give Januzaj a chance or bring Ronny back. the only two solutions I would be happy with! :)

I personally think Walcott is destined to be a striker so exchanging him for Nani will be counter productive

With Sturridge destined for Liverpool I wouldnt mind betting that he ends up at Chelsea

We Need central midfielders! All this talk of wingers and strikers is unecessary, when our midfield is clearly our weakest area. I hope the Mirror is correct and SAF is keen on keeping Nani. As SAF is reported to have said, "Nani gives us something different". Walcott is quick, but that's all. We need a Wanyama style midfielder and a Gotze type to replace Scholes.

I hope he does sign for Chelski, instead of Falcao! Lol
It would make sense for them to replace an Englishman with an Englishman, to balance the books so to speak.

Nani can't recover now, he's held in a Berbatov light, had his go, didn't work out. We move on.

If we do sell Nani do you guys think that Fergie would sell him to a team in the EPL.?
Believable4
Unbelievable23
I would like us not too but it depends who wants him and how much Fergie wants to sell him.... If a EPL club wants him I would like to see us be stubborn as we seem to sell for cheap the majority of times.... I can see Zaha being bought in January to replace him.

Wouldn't mind where he ends up so long as he is off our books.

2-Rooney vs Bilbao ( sheer quality imo )
1- Valencia vs Blackburn ( monstrous strike )
Notable mentions : Valencia vs Wolves, Nani vs Everton, Rvp vs Fullham, Welbeck vs Everton, Young vs Tottenham, Rooney vs Fullham, Carrick vs QPR, Chicha vs Wolves.

ED, is it true that we are in talks with Everton about a move for Baines? I don't believe SAF when he says that we won't buy anyone - still think we could snatch someone like Baines or Strootman in January. I would certainly feel better about our chances against Madrid if we had Baines instead of Evra against their forward line.
Fresh! {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any talks.}

We would be looking at starting next season with 4 left backs.

The ever reliable Caught Offside quoting our intent to bid for Gundogan in the summer. Good player but not sure Dortmund are up for being a feeder club, especially if the Lewandowski rumours that are gathering pace prove to be true. Gundogan, Strootman, Wanyama or Bender? Which would be your number one midfield target?

Wanyama is no world beater two good games against barca doesn't all of a sudden make him our answer!haven't seen any of the others mentioned to give an opinion have to give young players their chance otherwise what's the point developing players we need a defensive midfield player yes but where are they fergie won't buy for the sake of it and he's right imho!

Wanyama fits the gap we have in midfield perfectly.

None of them are mugs. All talented and young. Ill be interested to see if there really is no business done in Jan or if Fergie is playing the usual games with journalists. It may be he is right that Jan is not the time. Several are still in CL with their clubs.

Just wanted to get an understanding of people's feelings towards Lewandowski. I think he's a good striker; he works hard, has good link up play, and finishes well. However, I don't know how happy I would be if United were to sign him. It's obvious that United's strike force is their strongest department, and is Lewandowski really a necessity? Dortmund would demand a relatively hefty transfer fee, and there are definitely other areas of the team (midfield, left back, etc) that should be prioritized when it comes time to strengthen. The arrival of Lewandowski would also limit the game time of Welbeck, Hernandez, and potentially Henriquez in the future. What do you guys think? Do you believe there's any credibility to the link between United and Lewandowski, and would you want him signed?

He is not a player we can pass on I'd get rid of welbeck to snatch him. Lewy an RVP up front wit kagawa an Rooney supplying them dream team stuff

Lewandowski is a very strong forward who is developing into world class striker, I think if he had 4 yrs on his contract he would be worth around £25-30 mil. We can get him for around £15m, very shrewd bit of business. Rooney will certainly drop back into an attacking midfielder position. This is definitely a sign of united narrowing their game with the option of wing play if needed. Lewandowski is perfect for tight central play as he can bully his way forward in straight runs.
I see no need to sell anyone, yet I would definitely sacrifice the much appreciated Welbeck, or even Hernandez (very reluctantly).... If this RUMOUR were to blossom.
Then we would only need 1 central defender (Hummels my own personal preference) and a defensive midfielder (Wanyama maybe)..
Patzi

I would sign him in a flash, Danny No goals welbeck is not the answer and for me Hernandez is an impact player, we need another top striker to take the pressure of our one man team rvp.

RVP, Rooney, Wellbeck. Chico, Kagawa, Henriquez. represents strength.
Scholes, Giggs, Anderson, Carrick, Cleverly represents weakness.( except for the unpopular, but hugely underrated Carrick)
We have never replaced Keane and Scholes, so how about Wanyama and Gotze? We certainly need a midfield makeover. So Lewendowski is just a luxury, we should concentrate on strengthening our weakest parts.
