Just read on a website, Southampton are willing to let gaston Ramirez go, just wondering if anyone he would be worth a look, my knowledge is limited to football manager

Excellent player imo. I thought it was a real coup when Southampton got him last summer but I can also think of few better clubs for him to develop at as he is far from the finished article right now

This guy is more frustrating to watch than Nani. Good but no end product.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a saints fan here. The saints love gaston and we all believe he will become good this year because he's slowly adapting to the quick and physical pace of the premier league.

Heard a few noises from friends in Spain that another bid has gone in for Kondogbia, expected to be about £10 million. Are Moyes two midfield targets Kondogbia & Fabregas with Baines being the left back and that it? I think it could well be. That would certainly plug a few holes and give us a good shot at trophies this season.

Believable18 Unbelievable51

I think it is looking increasingly likely that Fabregas is a dead end. He has always said that if Barcelona want him then he will stay. And it certainly sounds like the new manager wants him!
Kondogbia on the other hand is realistic and I think would be a great addition to the squad.

Kondogbia, on the other hand, I feel is realistic and would be a great addition to the squad.

I think it would be good business. Still doubtful on Cesc though, I think it would have been done by now if it were going to happen. Still, fingers crossed

Agree1 Disagree0

A bid from MUFC or Madrid? Heard they were interested as well, could free up Modric if they signed him given that they also added Illarramendi to the squad?

cnk

Agree0 Disagree0

This would be a good summer. Although I was hoping we would sign a winger as well.

Nicolas_United

Agree0 Disagree0

Sevilla have already stated that Kondogbia is availablle for less than the figure you have quoted as his buyout clause is reportedly around £8.3m euros so what your saying doesn't make sense.

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree with cnk on this one, Madrid massive favourites to land Kondogbia with Arsenal also showing interest since backing away from Fellaini. The best we can hope for realistically is that Modric would be more open to a move.

Red Spark

Agree0 Disagree0

This is only what I have heard. Just relaying information. God knows if its true, interesting never the less. I was under the impression that we have had one bid turned down already.

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought Madrid cooled interest since they got Illiaramendi?

Thorne

Iv never seen such a ridiculous transfer offer as the fabregas bid. barcelona are a non selling club, fabregas insisted that he had no intention of leaving. - and there is a sell on clause that means barcelona would have to give a significant amount of the fee to arsenal. The board made this bid knowing the transfer was never going to be accepted by the player or the club, and obviously, therefore, also understood that the transfer of fabregas would never materialise. What does that tell you?

Stop kidding yourselves. Our owners and senior management have no intention of developing the club in the way that prideful fans would idealise. My only hope is that they at least have the commercial sense to understand the risk of not signing quality players.

Its at least possible that we will still invest in players like gundogen. It dosent only have to be south east asian players either. United now have exceptionally good fan bases in the likes of mexico (given the hernandez phenominon) scandinavia, (solsjaer/johnsen. ) and south africa (fortune. )

For better or worse, they do at least understand the value of getting stuck into profitable markets. I really don't care personally. So long as we do keep a british core of players, which we already have, there's nothing wrong with signing players from less well known footballing countries. So long as they get on with it and preferably stop trying to con us fans who are supporting the club at the end of the day.

Hi, with moyes sayin he is happy with the squad he has, I just hope that us chasing cesc is not a smoke screen with utd knowing they won't get there targets but keeping he media off moyes back. I have a bad Feelin bout are so called targets and at this stage of preseason it's worse than city were last season and look what happened to them! Who else could realistically go for in that position that we could afford, we need 4signings and 3 of them need to be world class! We're possibly the biggest club in the world but no one seems to want to come, if we don't get some in and a bad run off results in the first 7/8 games, its going to be a long hard slog with little chance of any silverware! Hope I'm wrong and the yanks splash some serious cash.

Tunnicliffe joins Ipswich on 6 month loan

Believable24 Unbelievable5

Does it tell us something that Tunnicliffe and Powell are going out on loan even though we are very short of midfielders? Have we had some positive news from 1-2 midfield targets?

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Is powell going on loan then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Tunnicliffe will never make it at United.
He reminds me that fat kid that played for Middlesborough Phil Stamp only with a little more pace.

Agree1 Disagree0

Syd not really, maybe with Powell but Tunnicliffe would not do anything for us if he were to stay. I reckon if he doesn't impress on this loan spell we may look to sell him.

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Oz, but don't forget about the U21's too. We need to fill that midfield too. Pearson will play U21's next season, as will Rothwell, Ekangamene but we are still pretty thin. Perhaps with the departure of Daehli we will sign another world beater youth player?

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes that's a good point you may well be right! I'm looking forward to seeing more of Ekangamene! He looks like he could be a class act.

Nothin huge long time reader first time poater Nick powell to wigan on loan

Believable23 Unbelievable4

Hope not. Get him in. Good enough already. what's wrong with playing youngsters now. Don't want another Pogba situation. Januzaj too if he's good enough now.

Agree2 Disagree0

Oh hey red nemesis, I am a second time poster myself. God, I love posting.

Agree0 Disagree0

No name poster, It'd make more sense to allow Nick to go out on loan although he is good enough he won't play too many games. If he went to a low end PL team or a top Championship team he could feature every single week which would benefit him as well as us in the long run.

Hi Guys?
Just heard that Manutd are in talks with Ajax for Christian Eriksen for a fee of around £ 12m. As part of the deal Alex Buttner will be sent to them on loan till end of season and that will be the only signing till January.

But Ajax have Daley Blind for LB so have no need for Buttner.

Agree1 Disagree1

Looks like this could happen. Not sure about Buttner though. Eriksen would be a remendous buy and value for money. United have muted in the past about forging closer links with Ajax and them taking some of our youngsters on loan. This would suit both parties we would get options on some of their up and coming young stars. They would have a constant supply of young talent that they could develop, with no cost involved

I washed David Peggs car

Just heard? Who from?

Red7

Agree0 Disagree0

Shappys right. plus nicolai boilsen so buttner wouldn't get any games.

ms85

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like Eriksen to come to United, but find it hard to believe we will not buy a strong tackling midfielder as well. I also think 12 million is wishful thinking, as soon as a club sell a player to an elite club, like United, they look for more cash. If he were to join, it would be around the 18 - 20 million euro mark (16 -18 m pounds). Eriksen, Fellaini, Baines would represent a good transfer season for us. I must add that having Ozil, Cesc, Cabaye would be my first choices, but Eriksen is a very good midfielder and is young. The one problem with him is his desire to finish up in Spain.
Mik

Agree0 Disagree1

United have no interest in Eriksen, if Ajax sell him it will be to Liverpool or AC Milan.

Red Spark

Agree2 Disagree0

Another player that people on here hear about and rave about without even watching them very much I suspect. Simply not good enough and never will be.

Agree2 Disagree0

£12mill? When liverpool had bid ov £18mill turned down? Try £25mill at least kb

Agree0 Disagree0

Eriksen is average and beige! Not mufc material!
Let Lfc get the monkey.
/The Dane

Agree1 Disagree0

Twaddle. Eriksen is an attackign midfielder, a position we really don't need to reinforce. Never seen any links with us for him at all. Never going to happen. And personally from what I have seen of him and read from Dutch fans as well, he is a good young player but not a special one either
