{Ed004's Note - Not sure}

Hope not, not good enough and been hawked around by his agent for years with noone going for him.

Mort, you've reappeared as one of the voices of reason. Shame on you. Can we not have everyone we are linked too? Can we hound out anyone who makes a mistake or isn't united quality please.

Agree0 Disagree3

30 Jun 2015 00:47:46
Turan is a quality player. i'd take him any day

Agree3 Disagree2

30 Jun 2015 01:57:23
Turan is world class and strong build would fit perfect for PL and for us

Agree2 Disagree2

30 Jun 2015 03:11:23
Turan is overrated in my opinion. He does play tough but it would be just adding up the numbers. Our attacking line-up demands just another striker. Other than that, as LVG said, the defensive and midfield spine should be fixed up. We will be good.

30 Jun 2015 07:22:40
Not too convinced about him and definitely not at the prices that is being quoted.

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Jun 2015 07:37:48
Omg please watch him before passing judgement. Class player.

Agree2 Disagree5

30 Jun 2015 07:59:27
For a supposed 'world class' player who's agent tries every summer to get interest in his client how come no one has bought him?

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Jun 2015 09:37:22
Real class player and built for the EPL. He would play in the midfield three instead of Fellaini I think.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jun 2015 10:29:57
top player but after the comments about running a lot ild rather not.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jun 2015 12:04:37
Top top top player

Agree0 Disagree1

30 Jun 2015 13:06:37
He is not an upgrade on what we have and where do you play him if i may ask for those who suddenly think he is a top top player. BTW please explain what position he is best suited and whose place he takes in the staring 11 if we were to fork out 40 million as reported.

Just BS and can't see us buying guys like him and Gaitan. BTW turan has no pace.

If we were going to buy anyone from athletic Griezman and Koke fit the bill in terms of what we lack and need but not him.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jun 2015 13:53:29
I was only taking the mick GCU, quoting Harry Redknapp.

The usage of top player, top top player is too much. Some people go over the top with it.

The telegraph which is a much more respectable outlet is reporting next 48 hours schneiderling transfer will go through.

By the sounds of Koeman has also said sounds like some last minute haggling on price by both clubs.

Well I'm astonished at the Ramos development I honestly thought we were being used as a third party in contract negotiations again ! Just goes to show how far a bargaining chip will get you ! Farewell DDG and thank you 😁

Sergio Ramos rumours really heating up now with an apparent bid of £28.6million and that he wants to join United.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

29 Jun 2015 22:09:58
As much as Ramos would be a great signing , lot of money for someone who turns 30 very soon. May get a good 3 years outta him , me personally I'd rather have otemendi , Although those rumours seemed to have died a slow death. Hey ed,s do you think we need any defenders at all , regarding we seem to be signing 8 midfielders . ,I know it's true because it was in the press

Agree1 Disagree2

29 Jun 2015 22:33:48
Think the otamendi rumours quietened because he's still at the copa america

Man Utd submit 28.6 million pound bid for Ramos

Ramos has told Real Madrid he wants to join Manchester United and no other

Believable2 Unbelievable2

29 Jun 2015 20:15:36
Amazing! I think Ronaldo rang him to tell him how much he would enjoy playing for us, not to persuade him to stay

I'm thinking of applying to be a sly source. What's the criteria? Love it to be true but I can't see Madrid accepting first offer.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jun 2015 20:20:18
If we could get him at that price and if he performed at the top of his game for 5/6 years then that would be a steal.

Agree3 Disagree0

29 Jun 2015 20:33:25
No way we'll get him that cheap they'll want de gea and money

Rumours in France that citeh have guzumped our offer for Fabinho.

That's if we were even in for him in the first place.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Jun 2015 20:19:48
Do we even have interest in fabinho?

Agree1 Disagree1

29 Jun 2015 20:58:02
We supposedly have an interest in about 100 players if you believe all the papers lol. Even with Depay, we have spend zero if you think about the fact that we will be selling players. So hopefully we are looking at 3 major signings.

Next year the PL should be brilliant as i do not believe any team will run away with it or have it their way including chelsea. I think the bigger priority is a midfielder or 2.

What's the latest on the young lad janko??is the move to Celtic still on???

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - He is due in Glasgow today for a medical.}

29 Jun 2015 15:27:56
Eds could you share your info regarding what kind of a deal is it going to be ? Permanent or Loan?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's a permanent move as far as I know but seemingly the talks started as a loan with an option to buy next summer.}

29 Jun 2015 16:10:56
He was very promising and it would be a shame to see him go without being given a chance. Maybe LVG rates Varela as the best young right back though.

Scholes in 2014 on Janko "looks a bright prospect for the future, Hopefully he’s on his way to the first team.”

{Ed007's Note - I've only heard good things about the lad.}

29 Jun 2015 22:02:10
I'd be surprised if it's permanent. Janko is pretty highly regarded at MU.

Hearing on the Schneiderlin rumours that it may well be agreed later today and the player will undergo the medical tomorrow, the transfer will then officially go through on wednesday, fee of around £27m.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

29 Jun 2015 13:19:55
Tremendous deal, I hope it goes through. He and Carrick will compete well over that number 6 role. It would not surprise me though to Schneiderlin play further forward when Carrick is fit.

29 Jun 2015 13:29:52
Don't think it is that close. Morgan is at Staplewood today for first day of pre-season training. That doesn't sound like a player about to have a medical.

Luke Shaw

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Jun 2015 19:08:49
Yes, and a leg can be broken in pre-season training!!

Still doesn't sound like a player about to have a medical.

Not as close as you think. Morgan is unlikely to move as a second or third choice or back-up, and Saints will not sell below their valuation. If LVG wants to play games with RoKo he will lose.

Remember, Morgan SPECIFICALLY said he wants to PLAY in CL. Unless he is sure that will happen he will not move. He is far better than a squad player and his international career needs him to progress.

Why don't you jump across the Everton page an post that too LOL. They still think it is the 70's and 80's :)

29 Jun 2015 21:19:55
Interesting that you think a medical is imminent when no serious offer has been made by Utd. for Morgan!! (See interview with RoKo TODAY on Saints WS after he took training with the squad, including Morgan.)
As yet, paper talk is saying one thing ("a fee has been agreed"!!??, RoKo another. I know who I believe, but feel free if you want your leg lifted.

A deal may yet happen but don't expect it to be easy. RoKo has no need to be helpful to LVG and he knows all about playing and winning the CL. He will be listened to by Morgan, and he may well just question how settled will the rest of the team be for next season. And whilst this is going on there is nothing to say another suitor may not appear.

I see a comment about Shaw. Have you considered what logic is there for Morgan to be sold for less than Luke?? There do seem to be a few smelly porkies floating around this "story".

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jun 2015 22:00:37
Saint Martin, haven't we been here before? You telling us we will not sign Shaw.

Very simple mate. Your manager going public and saying you don't have a serious offer from United means you have an offer on the table and its all about that last bit of haggling. Schneiderlin will be gone in the next 7 days because at the end of the day business people run these clubs and the player has made no secret of wanting to leave the club for about 12 months now.

You can always come and tell us how we were wrong in a week or so:)

Quick question, has there been any interest from us at all for Asier Illaramendi?

I know Liverpool are heavily linked but I feel he fits our needs perfectly. Averaging 30+ passes a game with an completion of over 90%, likes to sit deep and act as a bridge, rarely caught out of position and is really highly rated among peoplei in Spain. Don't know if the did something to barely play for Madrid, especially when Modric was out, but for the 15 million being touted I think it's worth a punt. Schneiderlin is a great box to box player, think Asier will be better in the Carrick/Xavier/Pirlo type role we're looking to employ

Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - he has been offered around, United have shown no inclination to sign him, or he would have been the one brought up in the De Gea talks, rather than Ramos.}

29 Jun 2015 16:56:24
Ed,

I've heard were refusing to use de gea in a deal for ramos?

Any truth in that

Cheers

{Ed004's Note - No idea. I doubt it, we would probably welcome a swap of some kind}

29 Jun 2015 21:10:14
let them throw in Benzema and more than happy if we wrote them a fat juicy cheque for Ramos and Benzema with DDG going the other way.

Maybe we are trying to get them to buy Di maria back for 59 million :)
