Me again Edd's, have we shown interest in Kondogbia? I've heard he's being looked at by LVG and hope things come into fruition with him! At 22, he'll be with us forever! In front our new back 4 I couldn't see us conceding many? God I love Manchester United!

Reports suggest Lacazette can go for £36m and Benteke can leave for £32.5m, now I'd rather one of them than Benzema at £40m or Higuain at £42m? Just what I've heard Edd's?

Benzema is underrated. Yes his scoring record is not as good as others but that is because the role he plays is to pull the opposition around for Ronaldo to score! He does a great job for the team and could do the same for Deepay/Di Maria.
Also in a team more centred on him he would get more goals.

Benzema is the best around atm

i agree benzema is the best striker about at the moment

Benzema is absolute class imo, very Cantona'esq (lol) he has that touch of arrogance to his game that I think would go down a treat here at OT. I've got a feeling he could easily become a club legend should we sign him. ;)

Hate to say it but Suarez is by far the best number 9 in the world

Agree1 Disagree0

31 May 2015 18:29:56
Depends on the style you're playing. Obviously you can't do better than Messi, Suarez and Neymar as your front 3, but given our situation it looks like LVG wants his #9 to occupy the 2 CBs in order to create space for the wingers and creative MFs. If so Benzema would be a great addition. His goal scoring record is not that great but he's a threat that has to be dealt with while the talent around him is allowed to flourish. It's rather like Rooney' role against City.

Benzema is the best around at the moment ? are you serious
he`s a third strain striker in a not so good team.
I`d rather shearer unretired than have this turd.
Next you will be saying Blind is great, and we miss welbeck
another turd that arsenal fans know too well.

Edd's, I may be wrong but Lyon are are open to offers for Lacazette? This guy is destined for bigger things? We MUST bid! He's only 23 too and got YEARS ahead of him? Things are already looking good for next season, with him on board it can only be better! Surely he must of seen the glory years of Cantona and look to replicate it!

{Ed004's Note - No they are not.}

Maybe we can buy him make him a world class player and then sell him to Real Madrid when he is at his prime.

Ha Lolerpool continue thier pillaging of Southampton with a pathetic bid for Clyne.
with other clubs with UCL to offer interested I doubt a bid of double that would see him join them

Hi Edd's,

Do you know of any interest that we have in Aymeric Laporte of Bilbao?

Cheers, Ronnie.

Seen a few comments regarding Pep being lined up to be the next United manager and as the Giggs debate seemed to go smoothly I'll ask another one.
Is Pep as good a manager as his CV would state or is he lucky to have had 2 world class squads to work with?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - lucky for me welsh..

29 May 2015 11:49:17
When I look at the plethora of trophies in his cabinet I couldn't brand him as lucky even if I wanted to.

ive never seen a team play the way his barcelona team did.
the way they hunted the ball back and then just passed through you.

one of the best team I've ever seen

I know it's a bit different in terms of players but look at our squad when Moyes took over, a title winning side on high morale after winning the 20th title. I don't think Pep would have been able to win the league with that side but I do think he would have still competed up there with the other big boys.

Yes he has been fortunate but how many managers have we seen fail with very good teams just for another one to come in and do amazing with them?

Pep is a world class manager and I'd take him here in a heart beat.

Lucky to have landed the squads he's had, but extremely talented to have managed and delivered at such a high level. Love to see him here in the future.

Agree with Brendo and Pabawazza, he's defo got lucky but he's surely very good too.

Would be nice to see him given more of a challenge one day and he does have a lot of the qualities required for the united job. I've always preferred direct football to possession football but seeing as we've gone down that route with LvG perhaps Pep would be the ideal next candidate.

With the squads he inherited also came egos, it's only natural when you're surrounded by World Class players, they all have egos which is why they are the best so to get them all playing together, manage them across a period of 50/60 games, dropping them, adopting various styles of play, I'd suggest Pep is a good manager.

It helps if you were a top class player with the ego side of things I think. Players will automatically respect him. I know it doesn't always work like that.

Agree with jred , I think they were probably the best ever team a few years ago. They ripped us a new one a couple times lol

Totally agree Jred for me the best overall football team of the last 3 decades.

Jred

The current Barca team is better. They are going to be the standard for the next few years. They have a transfer ban that end in Jan and given ability to pretty much get most players they want, with a bit of tweaking they will be scary good.

I think they might be the first team to repeat as CL winners. Heard it here first lol. This year and next year.

A team that sells Sanchez and looks better for it is scary good. Their current team has an extra gear that their previous teams did not have.

He is definately very good, but the teams he inherited make it hard to tell whether he's truly great or "merely" very good.

I wouldn't want him here though, wrong type of football, and it's the football that made me fall in love with utd, not the titles (especially since that was when SAF had only just started winning trophies).

Klopp on the other hand is also extremely good, and his style of football is more exciting, if less ellegant.
