When Bale finally signs for Real Madrid, expect Spurs to make a bid for Nani.

Just20n

Believable32 Unbelievable30

Well going by David Levys valuation of players then £60 million would sound a fair price ;)

Mad Hattet

Agree7 Disagree0

Great.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why wait till he's gone.

Agree1 Disagree0

Manchester United do not sell players to 'rivals'. End of.

Agree2 Disagree0

If this is true we better make them pay like 20m

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes we do, sold Tevez to city & city won the league, sold Strachan to leeds, & leeds won the league- just sayin.

Agree0 Disagree1

No name since when are Spurs rivals?

Frazier Campbell
Teddy Sheringham

If Nani is surplus to requirements I'm pretty sure the hierarchy within the club would accept a bid from Spurs but would hope we try and drive a hard bargain like they do to us!

And didn't they sign a Belgian winger last week, supposedly to free Bale up to play centrally? I wouldn't be surprised if they don't join the Rooney race with all the cash they'll have.

Ben

Agree1 Disagree0

Ben, as it stands they have a better squad and therefore are rivals! I wouldn't be so naieve mate if I were you! If I remember they took 4 points off of us last term and are improving regardless of bales departure or not! And as for nani they are simply not interested in the player

Agree0 Disagree0

Spurs are not immediate rivals in the sense that city are, hence the inverted commas.

We did not sell Tevez to City, he was on a 2 year loan deal that we didn't take up the option to buy after that. False revisionism won't help you there. Just look at the fuss Heinze made over our refusal to sell to Liverpool, he took us to court, and the court ruled that a verbal policy had been made that United do not sell to rival domestic clubs.
If Nani is sold, it will be abroad, same as Rooney.

Agree0 Disagree1

We never sold tevez
We never owned tevez

Afternoon lads
Update on the ronaldo situation, with Gareth bale seemingly heading towards Madrid then a sensational return for ronaldo to united has been spoke about

No official bid has been made, and no talks had been held, but strong Interest does remain from Manchester United.

Hope this helps anyone

Believable35 Unbelievable31

Real selling Ronaldo doesn't make much sense, when you consider that they're probably trying to buy Bale to one-up Barcelona's acqusition of Neymar.

Because Barcelona didn't then go and sell Messi.

Agree2 Disagree3

That is possibly the worst update ever! Anyone who has read the papers or social media would know that and more.

Ben

Agree6 Disagree1

Why don't you tell us something we don't know/already read today in the national papers pal, I might get up at 6. 30 tomorrow morning, rush round the shop and buy the paper and then write on here the first bit of information I see about Manchester United, and say its me giving everyone an update

come on lad.

Lee Rannard the Myth

Agree4 Disagree0

Ex president of Real says United have held talks, who knows for sure what's going on

Agree1 Disagree0

We know

Agree1 Disagree0

Doesn't tell us anything?

Agree2 Disagree1

I have a strong interest in a Ferrari every time I see one. doesn't mean I'm going to buy one though! I think we're all falling into the trap of believing in something because we want it so much. Sorry to drop a dollop of realism here but I can't really see it happening. Ronaldo I mean, not the Ferrari!

J - Stand

Agree2 Disagree0

Blimey i'll sleep better after that insight. are you sure its not just a crystal ball your rubbing.

Ramón Calderón (ex Real president) on tv live call saying Ronaldo not on speaking terms with current president and talks with UTD have happened.
Elmo

Believable29 Unbelievable22

I'm sure the ex president doesn't have his own agenda or anything.

Agree0 Disagree1

Hasn't anyone considered the possibility that Calderon might be trying to run for Real Madrid's presidency and rival Perez?

REDFAITH

Agree0 Disagree1

The elections have recently taken place, Perez ran unopposed, so no elections are due.

Agree1 Disagree2

He has another 4 years to wait so must be a long term plan especially as he didn't stand recently

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard him on talksport the other day saying something very similar and it was interesting to hear that Ronnie insisteted with Real Madrid that he stayed 1 more season with united before he left. Ronnie has pined for the devotion and support he had at OT since leaving and showed real class and heart in last years CL match. I don't think it will be this summer but surely he's on his way back sometime.

Jiameuk

Agree1 Disagree0

I listened to that interview and it just came across that Calderon was incredibly bitter and trying to stitch up Perez at every opportunity.

Agree2 Disagree1

Calderon does love RM though and you can see that. When asked if players commenting on Bale was a tapping-up trick by RM he moved quick to deny that. I have no doubts in my mind that we have talked with RM, probably at the same time as the Di Maria talks, but I do not think we will pay what needs to be paid to get him.

Sydney! {Ed004's Note - Id happily take a summer of just fabregas (or marchisio, Modric, Gundogan) and Ronaldo. Then next summer replace Rooney if he hasn't improved, a midfielder to replace Anderson/the ageing Carrick and a left back}

So it's 75m for Ronnie plus Little pea going to Madrid. Jib.

Believable10 Unbelievable63

Hernandez would run rampant in Spain, could easily seeing him bag 30-35 goals if this is true

Gaz

Agree0 Disagree0

So your saying hernandez is worth 5 million

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate I hope u r right. cr7, fabregas and fellaini with rooney staying would make us a real European threat. Rooney, van Persie and Ronaldo up front. i'll pay to watch that big time

Agree1 Disagree0

Says a web site, so no.

Agree1 Disagree0

A complete non starter even with Hernandez not starting that many games for us he is easily a £20 mil striker and we would not even consider paying £95 mil for a player I don't care if Jesus Christ himself became available for that price we would never even entertain the idea.

Agree2 Disagree0

I dnt know I've heard JC's crosses are nailed on!

Agree5 Disagree0

If Soldado is 25m, Little Pea is more.

Roland

Agree1 Disagree0

No name brilliant!:)

Agree0 Disagree0

Great comment from no name. I have never commented on anything on here before although I do view this site quite often. I would absolutely love to see Ronny back in a united shirt where he belongs however unfortunately I really can't see it happening. He has been absolutely incredible at Madrid. I have always been proud of how well he had done since he turned up at OT as a scruffy 17 year old. Not going to lie though I would give my left and right nut to see him back in a united shirt. Would also be gutted to see Hernandez leave I think we can expect a massive season from him this year if Rooney goes. At united whenever we lose a top player someone always steps up.

Agree1 Disagree0

70m Ronaldo, 36m Fabregas, 15m Baines.

S**rt Espana reporting 40m bid gone in
from us for Fabregas this morning- moyes
just is not giving up he wants the fellow
bad (good for him)
Once we get Fab we might as well get
Ronaldo aswell whilst Woody Woodward
is in spain.

Believable33 Unbelievable27

That does make sense because it's cheaper to get an easy jet flight from barcalona to madrid.

Coups.

Agree1 Disagree1

Fabregas and Ronaldo would be the two greatest signings in transfer window history :)

Agree3 Disagree0

Giants, I think you are forgetting the shrewd signing of Bebe ;)

Sydney!

Agree2 Disagree1

And Eric Djemba Djemba. so good they named him twice!

Simmo

Agree2 Disagree1

This website says nothing about a bid for fabregas at that price?

Agree0 Disagree1

Dream land - I also got a pay rise, wife lost 10 lbs and the kids are behaving themselves.

Red Qudos

Agree2 Disagree1

Not a mention of this on their website though. Strange.

REDFAITH

Agree1 Disagree0

Your right Syd, how could I forget ;)

Agree1 Disagree1

Fab abnd Ronnie would absolutely wipe the smirks off Chelsea and citys faces.

I would absolutely love it (to quote Mr Keegan)

Agree2 Disagree0

Not even a mention of Fabregas in that paper, I have just been online and checked it.

Simmo

Agree0 Disagree1

The guy is telling the truth we have bid 40m

Agree1 Disagree1

Coming out of spain. The next bid has been rejected Fabregas is not for sale. he ain't coming guys. Now the good news Paul Scholes said he might consider giving it another go. The Glazers are elated no cost to the club what a coup.

Agree1 Disagree1

Id say the best transfer window at the time was kaka ronaldo and benzema to madrid.

ronaldo will come to utd for 92 million not sure currency

and nike and chevrolet will pay 1/2 the fee

Believable26 Unbelievable43

80m pounds

Agree1 Disagree0

Most people are speculating that Ronaldo will leave Madrid in January or next summer for approx £50 million. I'm not convinced by all the reports in the paper at the min, but I do hope it's true.

Agree1 Disagree0

Really 3rd party ownership in the prem. united will pay 60m that's the cut off that's why the dunces Madrid r splashing the cash on bale I can't see ronnie likin not bein the star attraction. And tbh there's not a chance on earth that bale is worth that money ye could buy 2 naymars and still have change. lude. !

Agree1 Disagree1

Just can't see Ronaldo coming back to united. If saf was still in charge then maybe, but there cannot be the same attraction with moyes in charge. If he comes back it will be to city. Jk

Agree1 Disagree4

Real want both Ronaldo and bale because Barcelona have messi and Neymar. Theyan affors both.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ronaldo won't play second fiddle to bale. he will leave in the next 12 months. And whoever said he's going to city get a grip.

Manchester City have made strong enquires for Cristiano Ronaldo. It is understood that the bid was approved by Real Madrid but they stated the player is only waiting for one club that being Manchester United.

Just20n

Believable43 Unbelievable29

No way on earth that United would allow this to happen. Fergie and the board just wouldn't allow it.

For all their faults (and there are many) the Glazers know the marketing potential of Ronnie around the world and the implications of him returning to england but not to united would be catastrohic.

I welcome citys interest and think them moving for him will push united into action.

DanW

Cristiano Ronaldo will return with Fabregas. Moyes wins title

Where did this August 8 rumour come from can someone tell me
Dan

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Me! I post about this earlier in this website.

There is a big surprise waiting on Aug 8 during Rio's testimonial game at OT.
A player going to sign and will play in the match.

I don't know who is the player. But personally I think its CR. *Fingers crossed*

Agree0 Disagree0

The testimonial is on the 9th genius. mdc

Big rumour

United and Real Madrid have spent the past 12 days negotiating an £80m package - and the Premier League champions are increasingly confident of getting their man.

David Moyes made his move two weeks ago when the club heard through the grapevine Madrid had stepped up their interest in signing Gareth Bale.

And for the first time they found their Spanish rivals prepared to negotiate after the player told them he would be interested in returning to England.

New United chief executive Ed Woodward made contact with Real president Florentino Perez in the knowledge Ronaldo had yet to agree and extension to his current deal at the Bernabau which has just two years left to run. Perez then sought assurances Ronaldo would commit to the new deal and was stunned to learn he was keen on returning to Manchester instead.

That forced them to open up to United's advances, knowing they would only get a fraction of the fee for one of the world's best players if he stayed another season.

It also explains why they are prepared to break the world record to ensure they clinch the signing of Tottenham star Bale in an effort to appease fans worried by Ronaldo's departure. United have been happy to talk openly about their interest in Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas, with speculation surrounding that transfer meaning work on the Ronaldo move could be done without fuss in the background.

In a highly complicated package, some of the money in terms of wages will be offset by American car giants General Motors making the Portugal star their global ambassador.

Chevrolet, owned by GM, become United's principal club sponsors at the end of the season and see Ronaldo as the ideal man to boost their image globally, and in North and South America during World Cup year. Kit manufacturers Nike have also been kept informed, as Ronaldo is one of their main sporting ambassadors.

Believable37 Unbelievable19

Have to say I usually read some 'rumors' & laugh. This seems plausible though. Fingers crossed.

Agree3 Disagree1

It has legs this.

RM could easily have waited till next year to go for Bale, see if he keeps up his level of performance while under more scrutiny.

They are scared to death of Ronaldo leaving them in the lurch though and them not having any 'global superstars' on their books with Barca having Messi and now Neymar (ridiculous when you think the other players they do have - though there are none really at this really highest level).

Bale in, CR out.

DanW

Agree2 Disagree1

What will happen with Rooney?

Agree1 Disagree0

I also see Gardiola was asked if Bayern were interested in going for Ronaldo and Pep said pointless there is only one club he would go to

Agree5 Disagree1

Pardoe, did Pep actually say that? When? Very promising if so.

Daily Star reporting United are in advanced talks to secure a sensational return for Ronaldo. Daily Star, so I wouldn't read into it.

Believable48 Unbelievable33

There have been talks between MU and RM apparently, but not sure it's about Ronaldo. let's wait and see, but it could be regarding Modric or another RM player. Still, if MU can get GM Motors and Nike onside they could make a Ronaldo move happen. It depends on how RM want the payments to be structured and whether Ronaldo is adamant about joining MU and only MU. I think it's still just a dream at the moment.

Sydney!

Agree2 Disagree2

I just have a sneaky feeling there is something in this. All of theplanets are aligning.

This would blow the socks off all the doubters,

DanW

Agree2 Disagree1

I'm stunned at how many people think this is believable! It's the daily star guys! As much as I'd love it to happen, I just can't see it.

Agree0 Disagree1

Have to admit, I really can't see it either, but. should Madrid sign Bale it will be for a world record transfer, this will push Ronnie's nose out of joint!, can you realistically play Bale and Ronaldo in same team?, neither will want to play second fiddle and although they're both known as wingers, they both usually play down the middle behind the front men. I'm not saying Ronnie will leave or even if he does that we could afford him, but the capture of Bale certainly makes things interesting!, maybe Real are a little more concerned than they're letting on about the possibility of Ronnie leaving.
