Is there any substance to the Cavani to United stories which seem to be daily at the moment?

{Ed002's Note - Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are still interested interested in Cavani - I would not be surprised to see Real Madrid try and get involved again if they cannot get their first choice target. Chelsea want to see an early resolution.}

Given our interest and if successful does that mean we will be selling one of RVP or Rooney and do you know if United would listen to offers for either.

I cannot see how we would even try for Cavani means at least RVP or rooney leaving and possibly both

Read a rumour that Muller is LvG's top target. I reckon he would at least cost 30 million pounds?

Hummels, Kroos and Turan

Cavani, Shaw, Varane, Garay

Players I feel would bring back the United style of play and these players suit LvG's Team Structure IMO :)

Haven't seen much of Turan so not sure about him and whenever I have seen Cavani this season he has been far from convincing.

LB: Shaw or Coentrao.

CB: Hummels / Garay / Varane.

CM: Kroos, W. Carvalho, Fabregas, Strootman.

Forward: Reus, Muller, Pedro, Lucas Moura.

I think they are van Gaal's targets.

Well a striker is our weakest position.

Paper talk.
We need to proper central midfield players, a left back and a top drawer centre half.

Muller though is a right forward, what we need a long with a left forward with RVP up top. Muller, RVP and Reus - could you imagine that as a forward three.

I don't think getting a striker right now should be a priority. We have Rooney and I reckon we can get the best out of RVP next season. We all know this season has been a turmoil with RVP and other squad member clashing with Moyes. Our priority should be getting quality defence line. Hummels and Varane would be a replica of the one of the best defence lines we had (Vidic and Ferdinand at their prime). LB I believe Shaw is the man. But the price tag is preposterous! But yes he's proven in PL and getting Shaw would mean no LB for the next 6-7yrs minimum. For some reason Smalling hasn't been very convincing and Jones is injured half the time. Rafael I believe is a good RB, so we don't need to spend there. Coming to mid, I feel another major overhaul is required. Modric, Di Maria and Carvalho would be great additions.

ED if LvG decides not to retain Giggs and any of the class of 92 legends aren't we jeopardizing our own future there?

I understand where you are coming from, but I feel we have to close that chapter and prepare the base for the. Future. OH!
