Ander Herrera will targeted in January. Player wants move.

Believable9 Unbelievable25

It doesn't matter unless we pay 42!They will not negotiate.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't be surprised if he's put off the idea of coming to us after todays embarrassments.

I hope he comes though, he was definitely the player I was looking forward to the most.

Agree2 Disagree0

Ozwald, why would he be put off? If the imposter rumours are true then how is that our fault? I'm pretty sure that's what we'll twll him if we still want him and I'm also sure he'll take that if he wants the move - and why wouldn't he?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben80 Your right imposters would not be our fault. However where were the real Utd negotiating team? That is our fault or should I say their fault, as the fans/players and regular staff have no responsibility in this disgraceful showing. So he may be put off by the clubs lack of professionalism.Well we did get our big signing after all 6ft 4ins not exactly a marquee signing more a dome tent.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just don't see how they could have been impostors it sounds ludicrous to me. How were they to get money out of it when they went there to supposedly pay his buyout clause? Makes no sense.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 23:28:41
Seems like we have paid £27.5 million for BigWig. That is some £4 million more than his release clause.

Top, top negotiating by Woodward. That is around £2 per seat per match for all home games this season. How can Woodward stay on?

Believable42 Unbelievable8

Fellaine signing is like knowing you have to buy a bouquet of flowers and buy garage ones in the way home just to have something.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 23:28:16
Last minute deal for Coentrao on loan? Wont make up for the utterly embarrassing shambles we have seen in this window, but would be a very good signing if true.

Believable13 Unbelievable8

It adds to it as deal was done too late won't be joining, lame dog and monkey shoe

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you make out a very good signing! for Coentrao ever is just as good as him utd were a total joke in this window there lost without fergie and gill I think 3th or 4th for them this season

Agree2 Disagree1

02 Sep 2013 23:27:42
Coentrao confirmed season long loan, excellent but still doesn't make up for Woodward's incompetence.

Believable15 Unbelievable14

02 Sep 2013 23:27:34
contrao signed season long loan

Believable3 Unbelievable18

02 Sep 2013 23:27:07
Well that wasn't expected! Contrao.

Believable8 Unbelievable10

02 Sep 2013 23:27:04
Coentrao and Fellaini but no other midfielder is disappointing for us. Why didn't we go for Ozil? I'm sure Ozil would have preferred us to Arsenal

Believable10 Unbelievable23

02 Sep 2013 23:26:49
Fabio coantrao as signed on a season long loan from Madrid CONFIRMED!

Believable4 Unbelievable16

That is a bonus

Agree1 Disagree0

If that is true then that is good news.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 23:32:55
Yessss. Daily mail source. Herrera collapsed because of imposters

Agree0 Disagree0

COENTRAO SIGNED ON LOAN

Believable6 Unbelievable9

02 Sep 2013 23:24:20
Has anybody else seen the coentrao deal on loan?

Believable4 Unbelievable2

02 Sep 2013 23:23:41
Hearing we have signed Coantrao on loan?

Believable4 Unbelievable4

02 Sep 2013 23:23:40
Coentrao on a season long loan.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

02 Sep 2013 23:22:58
Possible Coentrao on loan, I called that this afternoon, hope it happens as he can play left wing.

Believable2 Unbelievable13

How random! Very interesting. I wonder when we switch focus from Baines to Coentrao.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully loan to buy, a lot better option than Baines I think

Agree0 Disagree0

Whoa hold on now syd. This is moyes were talking about! He'll probably just play instead of evra

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 23:22:06
Coentrao is coming in on loan. Done deal.

Believable2 Unbelievable7

02 Sep 2013 23:21:52

Believable3 Unbelievable4

02 Sep 2013 23:21:50
27:5 mill for a player with a buy out clause of 23 mill a few weeks backs .DESPERATE
Can't wait for some of the regulars to comment on this, you know the ones I mean .

I think he will do ok as he is better than some of the players we have but Jesus 27:5 mill

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Ridiculous money for him IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a joke jred. They've had time to prepare proper bids for players and it wasn't done. Instead we chase signings that will never happen. Lessons must be learnt

Agree0 Disagree0

Dealings this transfer window have been amateurish and shambolic to say the least, possibly criminal in the extreme and cast a very poor light on the club. Media driven pursuits of unattainable targets, deliberately (?) low bids and what seems from first three team sheets as attempts to keep the big personalities on board - kagawa, januzas, zaha nowhere near the first team despite pre or end of last season displays - just hope we get past the "big shoes to step into/ only started on 1 july" mode and back to understanding that Manchester United win things and that's how whatever personnel is there should perform.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's lots of money for him, you'd think we could get better for that kind of price.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good for Everton. They held out for a good deal and got one and taught us a thing or two. Seems like the Imposters in Madrid were the only ones trying to do a good job.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 23:21:17
Official Fellani is a united player few!

Believable8 Unbelievable2

02 Sep 2013 23:32:04
should have bought wanyama when he was at celtic

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 23:21:07
Coentrao has signed for Manchester United on a season long loan deal

Believable4 Unbelievable4

02 Sep 2013 23:18:20
27, 5m for fellani is digusting!

Believable18 Unbelievable1

02 Sep 2013 23:20:06
Some reports that we've got Coentrao from Madrid on loan.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

02 Sep 2013 23:19:24
Fellani done 27.5mill

Believable4 Unbelievable1

02 Sep 2013 23:19:17
What a disgrace. How has our club changed from doing deals the right way and pretty quickly to the comedy we see before us? At the end of the day it's moyes and Woodward's decision but they should be made to stand by it and take responsibility for the consequences. Realistically I can see both of them not being here next summer as they haven't got a clue how to manage or run a club of this size with the pressure that it brings. Not sure what else to say really but, dig in as we're in for one hell of a fight

Believable17 Unbelievable5

02 Sep 2013 23:19:12
Fellaini done deal. £27m pounds, also contrao on season long loan in the pipe line.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

02 Sep 2013 23:19:10
£27.5m. I'm speechless. How in gods name did we mess things up so badly? We could have signed him for £23m 2 months ago. What a joke we have become. Other clubs will be laughing at us - and rightly so!

Believable15 Unbelievable1

02 Sep 2013 23:19:04
27.5 million fellaini wow

Believable2 Unbelievable0

02 Sep 2013 23:11:38
Belgian journos claiming Fellaini deal is done.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

27.5 mill why didn't we just sign him last month what a joke

Agree1 Disagree0

If we sign him for a penny more than his buy out clause last month Woodward should be sacked straight away

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 23:23:33
Deal is done

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately its true 27.5 mill we've been had!

Agree1 Disagree0

£27.5 million

Agree0 Disagree0

27.5 million when we could have bought him for 23 we are becoming a massive joke

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 22:51:34
Everton matched wigan's demands for Fellaini.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

That makes no sense?

Agree0 Disagree0

You mean McCarthy! But yeah i've also seen this. Apparently we have til 2:00am to complete a deal for Fellaini if a fee has been agreed. Medical etc.?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you mean McCarthy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha I did mean McCarthy! This deadline day has made me lose my mind! Haha

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 22:29:14
Amazing deadline day for us United fans. amazing transfer window too we spent a massive 2.4 mill. Exciting times!!

Believable4 Unbelievable2

What's that? No value in the market?
Laughingstock mate.

Agree2 Disagree0

Unbelievable incompetence, what an earth is going on?

Agree2 Disagree0

All these commercial deals done. Premiership rights money. Utter Sh1t.

Agree0 Disagree0

As my mate said this morning. Today is Transfer deadline day or as us United fans like to call it, Monday!

Agree1 Disagree0

Hard to believe but Cardiff have spent 14 times as much as us in this window!

Seem to remember a few posts early July asking why nothing happening and being shot down saying Its early days, well, I'm still struggling with this, really just can't understand what's going on at this club but believe me, Woodard and Moyes are not making much of an impression with us fans at min, god help them if our next result goes against us.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 22:05:04
Herrera deal is off according to Sky

Believable5 Unbelievable4

What the hell are they playing at. So much for unlimited funds.

Agree2 Disagree0

What is Moyes playing at certainly not a good start to his Manchester United job he is only making it hard on himself Fellaini our only hope now

Agree2 Disagree0

How has this not happened? We agree to pay and player agrees terms wtf is going on? Imposters at la liga? I hope this is a bad dream.

Agree0 Disagree1

I think the lack of experience at the top has caused panic in this window.

Agree2 Disagree0

Club has let fans down fingers crossed for top ten

Agree0 Disagree1

What the hell is going on. Been watching the Herrea deal all day. Now it seems imposters have scupperd the deal. We are turning into a joke club. Took Fergie 20 plus years to get us to we're we are today . Moyes and Woodentop have just put our great club into avery quick decline in my eyes. How the hell can we compete in the league with over aged mid fielders, and we can forget Europe, absolute joke . And to make matters worse, Arsenal now have Ozil.Had a little faith in Moyes when he became boss, but already he is getting on my wick. I'll see what happens this season, but to be honest guys in MY opinion, things are not going be great for a few years I'm afraid. for my north stand season ticket.

Agree2 Disagree0

We've turned into a laughing stock

Agree2 Disagree0

I honestly can't believe this is united! The team we all love is be run by Del Boy and Rodney .
I'm gutted and we ain't going to win a thing

Agree0 Disagree0

Man Utd used Herrera to unsettle fellainni maybe? so they don't have to pay out a large amount of money. starting to think the united of the old days where they spent the money to get the great players is over?!

Agree1 Disagree0

The totally ameaturish way this so called high level team of managment at old trafford have handled this transfer window is unbelievable. Wooward is a clown beyond comaparison. Leave things till the last day then fu£k it up! What the hell happened with this Herrera deal? Their needs to be some serious dicecting of this cock-up, the club is an embarrisment. It's about time this club started to talk to it's fans and being honest instead of just taking us for granted as usual! Totally shambolic Mr Wooward, you're an ameature!

Agree0 Disagree0

This is an absolute joke, personally think we never had any thought of signing anybody Woodward and moyes glazer puppets we be lucky to finish in d top four dis season a shambles!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not Moyes fault, I can only imagine he said these are the players I want go and get them. I blame it all on Woodward.

Prinster if our club were run by Del Boy and Rodney we probably would have made a few cushty signings by now but the other clubs would have found out we paid with counterfeit money after it's too late ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is true we have to accept the board are not buying anyone this summer. I suspect we never were in for anyone. Low bids in order to apease us fans. Stinks of the Sneider deal, will we won't we. let's see what happens with this gamble. The Glazers are behind all of this. No value in the market. Plenty of young players have moved for low fees to our rivals. Well let's see how good our youth team really is this year. I hope the board enjoy the money they are making off our backs. The thing that makes me mad is we have been lied to all Summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a mess. Still time to screw up the transfer for the big haired lump. Be surprised if we make Champs League footy next season.

We won the league last season without actually being that good. This year the other contenders have taken the transfer window seriously - the Ozil signing is a great one. Even the scousers have strengthened immensely.

Depressing times ahead folks .

Agree0 Disagree0

Our club are one huge embarrassment, they tell us the squad is good enough when it is obvious where we have problems. The powers that be are just simply hopeless.I fail to see that they would not know how difficult signing Herrera would be and to leave it till the last day tells me they are not serious.Frankly I doubt whether they had any intentions of signing anyone other than Fellaini.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with Ozwald. We had chances with Fabregas and Ozil. Woodward spoilt it.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 22:00:33
21:23 Bilbao newspaper El Correo believes Ander Herrera will soon join United because of his willingness to take a pay-cut. It is reported he will earn around €4million per annum from a five-year contract at Old Trafford. However, there is no mention of the alleged hitch over the payment of the €36million clause.

Copy and paste from united website

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Its over isn't it. Had Fellaini not played under DM at Everton it seems we weren't good enough for him too. Just hope the youngsters get lots of chances now.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 21:45:03
Graham H. reporting that Ozil's reps are holding out on rubber stamping a move to Arsenal in the hope that United will step in.

Fingers crossed!

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Then step in Woodward! What is he waiting for? Fellaini and Ozil and we'll be set for the season and have one of the strongest midfields in the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

"The only proviso I would have is that if Arsenal seal that deal they are signing a guy who's will was to go to Old Trafford and who's agent has been holding on for that prospect until the last minute."

"So IF your rumour is correct then this is a high quality player we are talking about but, honestly, IF United get a footballer from Madrid tonight then think Khedira or Özil who, although Arsenal are so near to doing, keeps hankering after United. [Sorry Gunners fans but it's true]"

And from the BBC;

Fulham's German defender Sascha Riether:

"Welcome to London Mesut Ozil."

Steady on there Sascha. No deal confirmed yet. Anyone would think Mesut Ozil was waiting for a better offer.

Agree0 Disagree0

He just gave a speech about how excited he is to join Arsenal! :(

Agree0 Disagree0

Too late. What a joke Ed Woodward is.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 21:40:04
James McCarthy deal to Everton could be in ruins. Apparently Everton offered the money over 4 years and Dave Whelan was not happy about it at all!

Could this scupper our bid for Fellaini if it doesn't go through?

Believable5 Unbelievable5

No as lukaka is now set to join everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 21:15:13
James Cooper just reported that club photographer has arrived at Carrington and that Fellaini expected their in the next hour.

i hope it's true, btw we will not get herrea beacause wood does not have a clue.think herrea would have been awesome hope i'm wrong zee :)

Lingard to everton 1 year loan as part of Fellaini deal

Also Powell to Wigan for 1 year loan

Believable6 Unbelievable2

If you think felani is a good signing think again he is miles to slow for the way you play. dithering davy. strikes again.he, s no were near good enough to manage your great club.

Agree1 Disagree1

If you think felani is a good signing think again he is miles to slow for the way you play. dithering davy. strikes again.he, s no were near good enough to manage your great club.

Nick Powell to Wigan on a season long loan looks to be a done deal.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

At least he will get some game time and may even play in Europa games too.

Agree1 Disagree0

A very good midfielder! Hoping its a confirmation of a signing as he really should get a chance if nobody has signed yet.
A year's experience and he will become an excellent player

Agree1 Disagree0

Interesting. Moments after talking about this deal - Dave Wheelan announced that the club had pulled out.

This could mean McCarthy is staying; and in turn Fellaini.

Agree1 Disagree1

Dave Whelan has confirmed it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good want this lad to get some game time in 1st team. looks a real gem of a player

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 21:06:50
evening chaps expect Rooney to move to Chelsea tonight, with lukaka moving to everton.

Mata is in talks right now for a move to united.

Believable4 Unbelievable9

I'd actually love this to be true! Get rid of the petulant brat! Said it for ages! He will only be moaning again next summer!

Agree0 Disagree1

Lukaka is now odd to West Brom.
But deal is still to go ahead.

Agree1 Disagree0

As the deal for herrera is off expect a strong move for for mata now.
heard it here first.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 20:53:05
United been given an extra 1 hour to complete the Ander Herrera, so we got until midnight,

I don't get this I not there is a Bureaucratic problem but why the extra 1 hour?

Believable5 Unbelievable6

If the deal is almost complete and the two clubs are certain it will go through you can request an extra hour apparently.

Agree0 Disagree0

The problem is the Basque VAT law so United don't pay VAT we have to give the money to Herrera and he has to "buy" himself plus he has to pay 1m euros out of his own pocket hence taking a drop in wages to join

There was some sort of bureaucratic hitch with the paperwork (Herrera probably forgot to sign lol)

You can get an extra hour if he player agrees and the clubs hence the possibility of Moysie time on the transfer

That is my take

Agree0 Disagree1

I'm led to believe that because of rhe favourable tax rates when there is a buy out fee. The taxes have to be negotiated with the authorities. sounds strange to us but there you go

Agree0 Disagree0

How can they get a 1 hour extension?

Agree0 Disagree0

The hour in past transfer windows is because the player has agreed but last min snag means that they can not register with fa like every player has to, gunners had it with arshavin, so it could be looking good to bringing him.in as long as clubs can sort it out I hope so we need a player that can work ball and run in to box in midfiled so bad

Agree0 Disagree0

Rumour is that the documentation was delivered in English not Spanish which seems hard to believe

Agree0 Disagree0

Hearing the hold up is that, the Man U officials brought all the paperwork needed with them, but it was in English not Spanish.Apparently been given an extra hour to finalise deal. Seems Everton are playing hardball with us, wonder if mop a top shop will actually sign. , Better then a kick in the nads I guess. But we deserve better.Roll on Tuesday morning.

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw that! If its true that we turned up with English paperwork then sums up Woodward really, absolute plonker! If Herrera does take a pay cut to join us then I'm already a huge fan! The kind of players we need that put football before money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Woowards deal make me think of only fools and horses

Agree0 Disagree0

It seems now on SLT SPORTS that the deal is now dead, no exrea hour, and also talk that the united team were imposters, what the hell is that then. me not buying a united shirt this season, I was holding off for a signing . not now .they won't get my money, why pay them if they can't pay us back with what we want and need . I want to be entertained.

Agree0 Disagree0

How incompetent can you get? Try to buy a player this late in the window without any sense of what is involved. In the meantime try to sew up the other deal for Fellaini in the last hour of the window when there has been talk for weeks about buying him. It probably won't happen now anyway. (Plus loan out a decent young midfield player who would have provided an option on the bench).

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 20:48:46
Heard that Herrera has cut is wages in order to play for us. Interesting.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

02 Sep 2013 20:27:21
Spanish radio COPE reported united have had 40m euro bid rejected for Madrids Kherida {Ed004's Note - If true I will be really pissed off. Ozil is three times the player of Khedira and he went for a little more than that}

Believable5 Unbelievable2

It's a question of need, we need a midfielder a lot more than an attacking player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Different types of player, khedira is a solid box to box player, breaks play up, gives it easy, ozil of the front man, kagawa can do that, khedira would be a good buy, forget the mone maybe over priced but who isn't, I mean 85 mill for bale? come on

Agree0 Disagree0

Lots of reports of this, so how does that work .
Where we after all 3 or is Herrera or fellaini a second choice
Or is it bs

Agree0 Disagree1

I guess it was due to Everton playing hardball over Fellaini. With such little time left you cannot put all your eggs in one basket. Since Fellaini has put in a transfer request and it looks like he is going to sign. Worryingly Jred it seems the Spanish FA are being gits about Herrera. Does City or Chelsea have contacts there ;)

Agree0 Disagree1

No Sydney, I think the real problem may be City's buying, the problematic purchase being Ed Woodward for an undisclosed fee.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed004, I really disagree.
Khedira would be great in the EPL and he is what MUFC needs.

Btw I am happy to see Eriksen to Tottenham because he is not what MUFC needs.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 20:24:28
The wig has handed in a transfer request!

Believable8 Unbelievable2

There still set to buy herrera as they have asked for an extra hour

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 20:22:20
Rumours have it that United have bid 40 million euros for Sami Khedira! Surely not. we are not that desperate are we.
On the other hand, Herrera seems to have agreed personal terms with the club with the only piece in the puzzle left is for United to pay the money.
Fellaini hands in transfer request prior to his move to United, seems like things could be going into place.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Wasn't the story that they had left without paying the money?

Agree1 Disagree0

Some issue with you don't pay the club to pay the buy out clause you go to the tax department(or somewhere like that) but when there could not pay them, but guillem balague says window may stay open for a extra hour for utd to sort this

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 20:08:58
United will sign Herrera, Fellaini and Baines before 11 for a combined total of somewhere approaching 72 million pounds. Source: Gut feeling ;)

Believable4 Unbelievable9

No chance mate, maybe Fellaini but not the other two.

Fellaini on his way to Carrington now apparantly.

Believable6 Unbelievable2

02 Sep 2013 19:22:34
Ready to be disappointed with Fellaini?

Believable8 Unbelievable7

Only if he signs

Agree3 Disagree0

You cannot be serious he can't be worse than Cleverly and Carrick

Agree3 Disagree1

Why what's up?

I am expecting him to arrive at Carrington within the hour.

Agree0 Disagree0

Left everton training ground about 20 minutes ago, expect him at Carrington in around 25 minutes, transfer request handed in

Agree0 Disagree0

Never seen this desperation in transfer window from us. Woodward has been a joke. Just heard on 5 live that united didn't pay the release clause for Herrera because of "Bureaucratic reasons". This must be something related to Tax that everyone was talking about.

Agree3 Disagree0

With him handing in a transfer request Everton will receive an extra £1.2m (approx) of the transfer fee.

Agree1 Disagree0

Which would be more disappointing? To get him or to not get him?

Not really sure myself.

Agree2 Disagree1

OMG what's up with some people.Fellaini is better than any of uniteds midfielders as you will see soon!

Agree0 Disagree1

He's the worst midfield signing utd could ever make in my eyes!never liked him, don't like this style of player Moyes is bringing in!i hope he doesn't come in!he is no better than what we have!Slow, lethargic, clumsy.he cannot create, he cannot tackle, he cannot set the pace of a game or take a game by the scruff of the neck!this guy is not the type of player utd need!you think berbatov slowed up our game, this guy is supposed to play in midfield!hes slower than carrick and has less charisma and technical ability than
Him!id be sick if we buy him!it shows the end of an era!anyone want to buy a season ticket!i cannot watch this clown in a utd shirt!it sickens me also that we didn't get Ozil, absolute joke!we have slipped up big time in this window and we deserve answers as to why we didn't bid better than Arsenal for ozil!

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm not a big fan of Fellaini (as you may have noticed by now), but he will be usefull for us domestically.

We still need a creative player like Herrera more though.

Kagawa, Rooney and RVP are our only really creative players at the moment and with RVP or Rooney up front, and Rooney or Kagawa behind them, we can't rely entirely on them to do all the creative work for us, especially in europe.

For the record though, Fellaini is not better than Carrick.

Agree1 Disagree0

Fellaini is far better than all our midfielders bar Carrick and he's 32! Anyway things look glum at the moment as Everton can't get a midfield replacement and will not part with Fellaini unless they do. As for Herrara, the Spanish tax and our incompetence seem to have buggered that. Why do I like football. As I write this photographers are arriving at Carrington, hope springs eternal

Wesley Sneijder spotted at Manchester airport.

Believable8 Unbelievable13

Ha ha . .

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know this?

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't a transfer window without one of these beauties.

Agree1 Disagree0

Jake my sources say, he got into a black jeep with tinted windows and was picked up by 2 men in suits! That all we need to complete the window!

Agree0 Disagree0

Let me guess.with 2 men in dark suits and dark glasses. All getting out of a black limo with blacked out windows. lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard he was sat next to Ronaldo and messi!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah, will smith and tommy lee jones

Agree0 Disagree0

Heaneyboy,

this is clearly a joke. Doesn't really feel like a transfer window without him being mentioned. like Babels helicopter, or Redknapps infamous window interviews

Agree0 Disagree0

What's the transfer window without us being linked to Sneijder eh lol.

i heard that 3 united representatives are at the la liga's headquarters hope is true guys I think we will get herrera and fellaini, sorry ed's not remember my password so can't login zee :)

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish I shared your optimism. To complete a deal like this in this short amount of time is unheard of. It will be a surprise if we got it done in time. Fingers crossed though ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

It's looking good if you believe in Slysports

I think Herrera deal is off! Only Fellaini realistic now!

United have been told a price that chelsea feel is acceptable for mata and utd are intrested long shot but still could happen! {Ed044's Note - You don't think it will be Mata to PSG; Hulk to Chelsea; Damiao to Zenit as suggested by another Ed then?}

Believable7 Unbelievable14

Can't see us paying what it would take - nor can I see Chelski agreeing to sanction a move to United.

Agree2 Disagree1

Remember what Jose said regarding Rooney? "It old fashioned to refuse to do business with a competitor because it simply means good talent leaves the league and goes to strengthens other leagues. I have seen in Italy players moving between Inter and Milan, Juventus and Inter, Milan and Juve. Now that's modern" Come on Jose release Mata to United or Arsenal or Liverpool tonight!! ha I am having a laugh. Jose is a clown if he doesn't live to his word.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed044 I do think that PSG would be fav for mata but if the rumours iv heard are true and utd have been informed of a price for mata then he's prem tested utd should use the money they say they have to get him. but that merry-go round seems a possibility. what are you thoughts on the fellaini deal? {Ed044's Note - I have checked and can confirm that there was no price given for Mata. There were two rejected enquiries, that was it. Fellaini will be a good buy.}

Any truth to a mata bid

Believable4 Unbelievable14

He's a player with immense skill and vision so there's no chance. PSV I believe have made contact. Liverpool made a bid but were rejected.

I don't think so, we need someone other than fellaini though!!

Agree0 Disagree0

We need better then him, looks to me no one wants to work with moyes I no fergie is gone but he would have good signings sorted by now

Agree2 Disagree0

Better than Mata?
Who exactly? He's been one ofthe best premier league players sincehe arrived
Utd clearly need another creative spark in midifeld.
I would have loved him at Arsenal too but couldn't see chelsea selling him to a close rival.

Agree0 Disagree0

Afc_bacon no I ment better then Fellaini, mata quality player

Ander Herrera will not be joining man united because there isn't enough time for him to do his medical

Believable12 Unbelievable14

How does any team sign anyone on the last day of the window then?

Agree2 Disagree0

There is time for it to happen. medicals can take hours and hours but they can be done in 2 hours or slightly less so there is time and utd can apply for extra time to the FA if they present enough evidence that the transfer is at a certain stage and can be completed.

Agree1 Disagree0

That doesn't make sense. 5 hours left, that's plenty of time. You do realize that the medical can be done in spain, he doesn'thave to fly to manchester for it.

Agree0 Disagree0

He not worth the money anyway bids for diamio and mata would be good

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently it will be done in Spain, like Ozil has had his in Germany.

Agree0 Disagree0

Faraday - sereiously? He's not far off where Fabregas was when he moved back to Barca. Given the inflated modern prices, that makes him almost a bargain.

Agree0 Disagree0

The tax issue will stop this from happening not the medical

Agree1 Disagree0

I honestly think Herrera will be more influential than Fellaini maybe after he's adjusted to the PL but he's got more flair and much better passing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabregas was a premiership player

Agree0 Disagree0

Faraday have you even seen the guy play before?

He is certainly better than what we have and would improve the team and is rated very highly, but as he is no good on FIFA we shouldn't sign him!

Agree0 Disagree0

So? Fabregas was unproven in the Spanish league, just as Herrera is unproven here.

Anyway, why do you say Mata and Damiao? We desperately need a central midfielder, we certainly do not need a forward, and while an attacking midfielder like Mata would be nice, it's a luxury, not a neccesity.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes I've seen him play and he had a better season in 11/12 then 12/13 as for Damiao i'd like to see him play with rooney and rvp that's just my personal choice and would be a quality player for us can't understand why chelsea would let him leave, didn't mean to upset you kid

Marnick Vermijl has gone to NEC. That's why we are looking at a young RB.

Believable7 Unbelievable4

NEC National Exhibition Centre - Birmingham?

Perhaps he can make an EXHIBITION of himself lol

Agree1 Disagree0

Thought it was a loan deal?

Agree1 Disagree0

Its a loan yes. He started most reserve games last season guessing there's not anyone else in that position looking too promising from the academy? Or is Varela staying?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm assuming Varela is staying. He was supposed to be going to Boca Juniors on loan, but I believe it didn't come off

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but Cumbria let's not forget players can still go out on loan after the transfer window closes, not sure when that period ends though.

Ed do you happen to know?

"Manchester United will need to unravel complicated Spanish tax laws if they are to get the Ander Herrera deal over the line before 11pm.
United have met the midfielder's €36m release clause at Athletic Bilbao, but Herrera could be forced to take a pay cut to ensure his move goes through.
All very complicated, and a quirk of the favourable tax laws for Basque clubs and players, but it is another element that has to be overcome before a deal can be signed off.
Still no breakthrough in terms of Marouane Fellaini and Everton, but that one still expected to happen."

Copy and paste, but update on Herrera.

Believable7 Unbelievable9

I m sure they have thought of this tax situation before running so hard.

Agree1 Disagree0

Herrera pay cut! surely not, why would he move?

Agree1 Disagree0

Technically to force a buy out clause in most Spanish contracts the fee must be paid by the player and not the purchasing club. However in most cases the club will accept that amount from the purchasing club. However the selling club are reluctant they can
Demand this money comes directly from the player, in most cases the player will not have this kind of cash at his disposal so therefore he would have to get this money from the buying club. This would be considered personal income and therefore taxable.
Therefore the tax is only an issue if Bilbao make this demand. They gain nothing from that but a better negotiating position.
From what I've heard this is not being demanded. But who knows.

Agree1 Disagree0

I've heard that he's willing to take a pay cut to get the deal done. Not surprised Bilbao are a club slowly in decline since they've sold Martinez and Llorente and not reinvested. They finished 12th last season!

Agree0 Disagree1

Dont worry chicken, least utd have signed the belgian lad!

As I said earlier I will keep you UPTO date it will come official soon, mata has handed in a transfer request, we are placing a bid there's no doubt about that, but psg are also in for mata. But we have the advantage as psg also want kagawa, looks like we have psg where we want them just a case of getting mata to agree personal terms

Believable5 Unbelievable16

You're going to look awfully silly come 11pm :)

Agree2 Disagree0

Either silly or a poster to trust for info. I'm not one to jump on people willing to share info so i'm hoping your right mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just see his previous attempts.

Anyway, he's assuming that the only barrier to a deal for Mata would be competition from PSG. The real problem would be Chelsea not wanting to sell to a major rival, especially one who just refused to sell the striker Chelsea wanted.

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree with redseven.

I'd rather have Kagawa than Mata. Mata is ridiculously one footed where as Kagawa can use either and if given game time he can become better.

Agree2 Disagree3

Antmufc is a b*llsh*tter, plain and simple. He has yet to agree to apologise to all forum members if his previous "FACTS" are not delivered this evening (see previous posts). Moyes may have finalised the deals of Hererra and Fellaini . , but the word is he is also critically looking at bringing in a DM and Baines who could be the last of our incomings. , a bid for Baines of £15m has been submitted and a £12m bid for Daniel de Rossie was made this afternoon but Roma has rejected it and so another vastly improved and hard to reject offer will be tabled for Roma

And finally Chelsea are listening to offers for Juan Mata and I understand we are interested and may bid the £35m but I'm not sure if we have a strong interest .

Baines is not happening

Herrera deal to be done by 8 o'clock

Kagawa's agent still in talks with psg

Pastore also being considered

Di Maria also being considered nani being used as bate

If I hear any more I will be sure to post as soon as I can

I assure you I am a reliable source please replie and I will try to replie to any comments

Believable6 Unbelievable17

What's the idea with Kagawa? He hasn't had a chance to prove himself, so am puzzled why they would let him go, unless it's as a swap with Pastore?

Agree0 Disagree0

I can understand something on with Kagawa or else why wouldn't he be used at all by Moyes.

Do you know anything about Anderson? I can't come to terms "backpass" Cleverly gets selected ahead of Anderson.

Di Maria would be great but you sure Nani as bait? He just signed a new contract as per Juventus' claim!

Agree0 Disagree0

I assume that moyes doenst fancy kagawa then?

Why would Madrid even consider Nani?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani as bait? What are you on? He isn't good enough for our team, what do RM with Ronalda, Bale etc, etc want him for, to sweep the fooking dressing room floor?

Agree2 Disagree0

Kagawa's going nowhere.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sounds good mate but hope we keep kagawa

Agree1 Disagree0

Just can't believe about Kagawa. otherwise I would be very happy if u are right

Agree1 Disagree0

Been reading on twitter about united being in for 3 players - fellaini, herrera, and the other i'm not sure who. Is it di maria or pastore? You have already ruled out baines.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate but it's all guesswork from you. You cannot put a timescale on transfers. We will do very well to get the Herrera deal done in time.

Agree0 Disagree0

If they sell Kagawa they've lost the plot completely! Who else would fancy a late raid on Madrid for Di Maria or Jesse Rodriguz? Not that we're that we would have thought of anything that productive!

Agree0 Disagree3

The rumours regarding Kagawa came from a tweet last night of a guy who posted a picture of him at Manchester airport, he asked him where he was going and kags said Paris. However another guy posted a picture with him soon after saying he was told that yes he is going to Paris but is on international break and is seeing his mother there before linking up with the national squad.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes nani as bait, Real Madrid see potential and maybe a good word from ronaldo and pepe has been passed on, for some reason Madrid are hopeful of united agreeing

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani is poor bait. Kags never got a chance Pastore has not lived up to his price tag not so sure that's a good deal. if we get fellani and Herrera I'd be pleased but Baines would be a big miss I have to Admit Evra was very poor again yesterday and not surprisingly is short on confidence not sure he will ever play well for moyes now he knows he didn't want him so a left full is a must. pay what we have to pay through in ando or young

Mufc have agreed/met release clause of Herrera and as part of deal will play Bilbao on friendly to help facilitate rebuilding/completion of their stadium. And Herrera has agreed to take lower wage of 64,000/wk in a 5yr deal.

Fellaini has been given permission to join up late with national team in his pursuit to finalise mufc move: so Fellaini and Herrera is sure grabs.

SAMFORD001

Herrera is now looking likely as is Fellaini. The fact that the number 7 shirt is free leaves me a little puzzled. Neither Herrera or Fellaini are going to be given the number 7 shirt - so could there be a surprise in store or are we going to leave the shirt vacant?

Believable4 Unbelievable5

I hope it's Mata

Agree3 Disagree0

It'll be left vacant for this season I'm guessing.

Maybe we're reluctant to spend money this season because a lot of money is going to be spent on one player next season? As in the return of Ronaldo!

He'll only have one year left on his contract and if he doesn't get on with Bale in the team etc he could leave.

even if we don't sign a creative player then for christ's sake at least give Kagawa, Januzaj the chance they deserve as its getting frustrating seeing the likes of Giggs playing instead of them.

Believable15 Unbelievable1

Moyes picks worng side zhara, kagawa, januzaj even lingard, look like players we so.clearly missing yes I know somehad knocks and long trips om international but surly one of them could take giggs, younge, nani out side they was all so poor at weekend, plus what is going off jones has to.go.ofd smalling on.bench but no moyes drops on the most attack minded player we had on bench and real pace what people think?

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe Moyes was just choosing experience when he had his first game in charge and then with Chelsea and Liverpool did the same as they're massive games, he didn't want to lose by a few goals which is always the risk you run when selecting a young inexperienced side. I reckon we'll see Zaha and Kagawa against Palace. Hopefully Januzaj too.

BREAKING: United meet release clause for Biblao's Herrera. I honestly have never seen him play and Youtube videos don't do justice. Can anybody inform me on the type of player that he is and how he will improve the team.

Thank you.

Believable6 Unbelievable2

A very clever, tactically astute player with a good passing range. Balague says he will be one of the best in the EPL by the end of next year - could be good. Could of done with an immediate fix though!

Agree0 Disagree0

He ripped us apart when we played Bilbao.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a midfielder in the mold of the Fabregas and Iniesta's but not at that level.

Although to be fair he does not have the players around him that barca have, so who knows maybe just as good. Quick, dribbles, passes forward and gets into the box. What scholsy used to do and what we don't have. He is not big but will run all day for you and a typical gifted spanish midfielder.

I think it might take him some time to get used to the pl but what is more interesting is what he can do with Kagawa interlinking with him. I think Cleverly is a benchwarmer with him joining once he gets settled.

If true and we do this in a civilized way it open the door for future deals with Bilbao who have lot's of very good players with Muniain and Demarcos and sussieta(spelling) also very good players.

Finally, he tore us apart a couple of years ago and they made our midfield look like a division 3 team. I am not counting our chickens until we see something official from either club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cracking potential. Great defensively & a good pass success rate. Barcelona have been tracking him & he was earmarked as a potential successor to Iniesta or Fabregas should he have joined us. Great business if we can get this tied up, herrera & Fellaini would give us a great midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's an alternative to Cesc Fabregas who clearly wasn't available.

Yes I can tell u most easy!

he will give us options to choose from which we clealy lacked last season

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Why does everyone harp about Cesc, He did not want to come and they were not willing to sell Mate. We can blame the new setup for lots of things but can't put a gun to a players head if he does not want to come.

Agree0 Disagree0

I for one can't believe we're sitting here waiting for a deal for Fellaini!, it stinks of desperation, he apparently had a buy out clause of 23.5 mill which passed a short while ago and we did nothing!, now we'll probably end up paying a ridiculous amount for a clown that we just don't need. Sorry for negativity but if this is all we can land then we really are on a slippery slide, even tightwad Wenger has blasted our transfer record in his bid for Ozil, really does stink of desparation, he'll be totally out of his depth in champions league this year, as will the rest of our midfield bar Carrick perhaps.

Baines (£14m)
Fellani (£undisc)
Ozil (£44m)
Di Maria (£20m + add ons)
Herrera (£35million + add ons)
De Rossi won't happen.
Ronaldo (£65m + Nani + stock add ons)

Also expect one last throw of the dice for cesc fabregas although it seems unlikely the move will happen.

Believable5 Unbelievable20

Unfortunately ozil appears to be off to arsenal when I'd have loved him here I've liked him for years, I can't see Di Maria although that's more likely than your proposed ronaldo love I can't see that at all and for real to take nani that's just not something I can see happening. Believable4 Unbelievable15

If we were honestly after Ronaldo we definitely would not leave it to the last day of the transfer window and rush it. That deal would take a while! Ha some people make me laugh.

Dave Whelan has said in a interiew that Robert Martinez has told him that Baines won't move.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah like PR i've also seen that Baines will not be moving as he's happy at Everton and will not force a transfer whereas Fellaini will.
