hey Ed what are the changes of signing w.sneijder in dis summer ?
And how much he wil cost to us..
=yaSH = (INDIA) {Ed002's Note - Not very good.}

Believable1 Unbelievable26

No chance what so ever, United no longer interested. We we're offered him on deadline day in the summer for £30 million, but he wanted £220,000 a week. No way were United gonna pay him that.

United Till I Die 1987

Agree0 Disagree0

You say that like it's a bad thing Ed!

DodgyBanter

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think hes worth it, we need someone reliable and hes had a poor season.

Faz

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously? Would anybody really want him after the way he's yanked our chain? There's much younger & much better out there.
20 Rising

Agree0 Disagree0

Sneijder would be excatly what we need class act on his day. Again as I have said before where is the evidence he held us to ransom last year all media based stories. He wants out of Inter and I think we could do a deal for him plus get him within our wage structure. We badly need experience in midfield and after last nights showing we need about 2 new midfielders.

Damian M

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but what if we sign him for a big fee and he has a really poor season like this one? what we need now is consistent midfielders, if only we could make scholes younger.

Trembling with excitement, this is and epic game. I don't think i've ever felt this nervous. Come on United!!

Shappy

Believable12 Unbelievable5

Giggs and park start. No Valencia. Oh dear.

Nozzla

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm absolutely disgusted. This is an insult to City (which I don't mind) but it's and insult to us, the fans, Valencia, Welbck and Cleverley. Which isn't right. I hope I'm wrong, but I see us being destroyed.

Percy

Agree0 Disagree0

How poor was that half carrick can't pass forward ball kept being given away we need someone with rooney up front and get carrick off now and I'm afraid park just not good enough.

Whitey

Agree0 Disagree0

Saw it coming after the wigan game tonight just showed more than ever the gulf in class
Between us and s**tty. Surely this summer we need to spend sum cash and bring in some class

Agree0 Disagree0

Am a united fan and we had very few chances tonight...will personally like city to win the league this season..so that those in charge at old trafford will realise that u have to buy world class players to win such games..just compare our squad with citys squad...the power base of manchester has shifted..by next season we will fall further back from matching city

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry but if you are a man united fan you should never say you want city to win the title! We keep the red flag flying high because man united will never die!
Come on Newcastle!

JJR

Agree0 Disagree0

Ferries entirely to blame for this evening ! The guys a legend but really can't understand why he starte the side he did? Still we have to believe title is not over yet

Agree0 Disagree0

Played for a 0-0 and thats the result. Poor.

30 Apr 2012 18:51:58
I did say a while ago both Morrison and Pogba would be off........................ Joined Juventus on a free. We will get some form of compensation though probably a £1 million.

United Till I Die 1987 {Ed004's Note - Where has this been confirmed?}

Believable2 Unbelievable18

Don't think it's hit most media yet but he's off.

United Till I Die 1987 {Ed004's Note - Shame if he has decided to leave, but isn't he with the squad tonight?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a quick question...

I noticed that UTID1987 has claimed a few things recently so, does anyone know if we have any reason to believe him?

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't, ignore him.

GDS

Agree0 Disagree0

'We don't, ignore him.

News will start filtering through in the next day or so. Maybe using the words 'gone to Juventus' was the wrong choice of words he's 'agreed to join Juventus'. Sad to see a talent like that go but we're Manchester United we'll move on :-)

Why does everyone think that we have basically signed Kagawa? Its just speculation for now, its like some people are already welcoming him to the club. All the press have said is that he is leaving Dortmund, that he dreams of United, and that he will probably come to England. There are so many teams in England that he could go to, Arsenla being one of them. We will see what happens, i'd rather have Hazard if i'm honest, but lets wait and see!

RedDevil19

Believable3 Unbelievable12

I would take a guess and say that Kagawa's attitude is better than Hazards and he may also not be as tempted as Hazard to a move to RM or Barca in the future. Not saying I wouldn't love Hazard at United tho, he would definately be fantastic

Anyone else think marek hamsik of napoli would be a good signing will be cheaper than our other targets and would do the same job?

Also with berba and owen pretty much out the door, cavani would be a great fit for us as hes clinical and also has aerial threat which we lack.

What you guys think? {Ed002's Note - No interest in Hamsik and he has signed a new contract.}

Believable20 Unbelievable6

Oh okay thanks ed, what about cavani though? {Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath. There is no interest and I doubt that Manchester United would want to spend that amount of money on one player.}

Agree0 Disagree0

'Cheaper'? I think i read somewhere that napoli value him at something like 40 million euros.

Anon

Agree0 Disagree0

Hamsik ain't cheap brother. Infact Napoli would ask for more compared to Bilbao or Benfica. No doubt he would be a good signing, bt paying outtoo much money isn't our policy.

Kagawa looks like hel be in a united shirt soon,
Ive not seen him play, has anyone seen him and anyone got any opinions on him?

Believable23 Unbelievable5

Go On You tube..... but German correspondent on talk sport earlier...said he was the "real deal"...pacey and can use both feet...plays behind the front two and scores goals.. on Yout ube there is various matches showing what he can do....very tricky player and does not get easily knocked over ..unlike Park... him and Hazard would be ideal with Martinez and a left back...

Okay thanks mate, and i agree with you fully kagawa and hazard would be great, martinez would be a dream come true looks unlikely though :

Even though he wont be playing in them, I hope to see gaitan confirmed soon!

Believable1 Unbelievable18

I hope to see some deals confirmed before euro 2012 but not gaitan's

Some on here may know I'm German born and raised...
My brothers live there still and one now lives near Dortmund with his wife..
He seems to think Kagawa is absolutely nailed one to come to UTD.
kagawa isn't a name I have mentioned before, but after all that has been recently written and after chatting to my bro I decided to give it some attention...
He seems like a quick, dynamic player.....always seems to be on the lookout for a forward pass or a quick turn. Seems to have great vision, is able to pick put a pass and excecute with accuracy.
His age is obviously a massive bonus too.
All reports seem to say he is a quiet, unassuming lad, which would fit the bill also.
With the amount of supporters and interest we have in Asia he would seem like a great signing seeing as he is the next big thing from that part of the world...
Any thoughts? Barring RFT and his standard 'replica shirt' comment of course....!

Whistler

Believable12 Unbelievable9

Very good player. If he was South American people would be linking him to RM & Barcelona every week. Not much to pick between him and Goetze according to a lot of Bundesliga fans, but a third of the price. Would love to see him arrive.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Fully agree with Sydney on that.

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Goetze is about 3 to 4 years younger and has more natural talent in my humble opinion. Nonetheless Kagawa looks good and would not be a bad investment.

Pip

Saying "my humble opinion" is the most contradictory thing ever. In any case, he looks like a good player.

I say i cannot understand 3 words here {Ed002's Note - It is from a blog dated January 17, 2012.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol @ Ed. Bt yaSH i think you need to calm down in a good way. There are tons of articles that are published abt Utd's teransfer possiblities, you'll hv endless sleepless nights & so will we if you keep posting these copy-paste articles.
Grab a beer & enjoy the rumours, laugh at the silly ones & put in your views where you differ. Cheers mate..!

IBleedBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

United have shown interest in Gaitan, but they don't want to spend over 22m.
Hazard plays in the same positions and will cost at least 32m being the quotes from his club. Thing i think would pay that as the Glazer's have promised 30-35m is available for a star player. Paying that much for a player will pretty much have him in the team every week.
LW Nani (maybe) RW Valencia (no) CF replacing Welbeck (maybe) even though the partnership has been blessed as the new Cole-Yorke. Could be a graet signing although it could turn out to be a Veron luxury deal. I also don't like his comments of England first then to Spain in a few yrs comment.
So for me if Kagawa is now for sale, i'd honestly prefer him. Think Park is on his way and is a great player aswell as marketing interest in Asia.

I am starting to get the feeling we are gonna end up with the likes of kagawa and/or sigurrdsson, good decent players but not and never gonna be world class and certainly not enough when our rivals will mop up the cream of world football, just cant see us spending what we need too, really hope i am wrong.
Ste73

Believable15 Unbelievable4

You have obviously never watched Kagawa play mate.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

I hate this attitude, why wouldn't they be world class? because you've not heard extensive amounts about their potential by the media? I'm sorry but Kagawa and Sigurdsson in a world class team, such as ourselves, could easily become world class with the attitudes they have to training and their skills.

My definition of world class would mean performing on the top level (CL and In the league) consistently, which there is nothing to say either of those couldn't.

OK you may prefer Hazard, Lucas, Neymar, etc. but to quash the notion that anyone else can't possibly be world class is ridiculously small minded.

Sanshine

Agree0 Disagree0

People quote stats when it comes to Hazard and suggest that means he is definitely good enough to play for us. If you look at the stats of both of these players you will see they stack up as to them being good enough also. How many times have you seen Kagawa play to say he will never be world class?

GDS

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a big fan of Borussia and try to watch their matches as much as possible.....Kagawa is a super little player but i think he might struggle in the EPL. If we stick with a 442 he just won't fit in as he should. He plays behind the striker in a 4231 for Borussia and he is superb in this role as he can show his creativity. He can dribble past defenders, he is a great passer (9 assists) and he gets himself into the box at the right times. We'd have to switch to 3 in the middle to use him correctly. If you stuck him out wide or further up the pitch as a striker i think he wouldn't do too well at all. Who cares about world class, if he fits into our team that's all that matters.

RedMonkey

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we would all love world class players over the summer but that doesn't always work. Ole Gunner, Steve Bruce, Denis Irwin, Teddy Sheringham and even Eric Cantona we never classed as world class, not when we signed them at least but would you have swapped any off them because I honestly know I wouldn't. Barthez, Veron and Berbatov were in the bracket of world class but never really lived up to that billing although some of the critics of Berba have been way over the top. We have gaps to fill and I would be happy if we could get in some great young potential to fill these positions.

Agree0 Disagree0

As long as we sign at least one truly classy creative midfielder and a defensive midfielder (in the Hargreaves mold) I think our midfield will be a strong as anyones next season. I am happy to leave the choice to SAF who clearly knows far more than me (or anybody else on this site, for that matter).

Mike B.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kagawa will probably be a world class player but I don't know if he is suited to the premier league due to his size, then again look at Scholes and what he has accomplished

SAF 23

Agree0 Disagree0

'Ste73' ou obviously haven't seen much of Shinji Kagawa if you don't rate him highly, he's one of the best attacking midfielders in the Bundesliga. He's got a good attitude too, isn't the kind of player that could cause unrest in the dressing room like half these arrogant young players about. Also 'RedMonkey' - He is quite small but he's very good at staying on his feet and very agile so it doesn't make much of a difference. Chelsea have just signed Marko Marin who is more or less the same build as Kagawa.. Lots of other small players in the PL that still do well!

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozwald.....agreed however i was just pointing out that with his size being as it is he needs to be used in the correct way. If he's given the freedom to move around the oppositions half, he'll be fine....where as if he's used further up the pitch his size does become more of an issue as despite what people might like to believe, we do play some long balls & cross the ball a lot.

RedMonkey

...Dortmund rate Kagawa, 23, at around £15 million, but with no shortage of suitors for the playmaker the final transfer fee could be much higher.

Kagawa has scored 16 goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions this season.Impressive ! Isn't it ?
Ur thoughts mates....

asif da devil

Believable12 Unbelievable2

I don't know enough about him to be honest, however those stats are impressive as i wouldn't exactly say the German league is weak.

Del boy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Kagawa's agent said last year that he would be a united player now if he had not broken his foot, joeyored

Agree0 Disagree0

His stats look good, but every time I've watched him,(apart from YouTube, where even Crouch looks graceful),he looks like a slightly better, more attacking version of Park. However, I admit I may have just seen half a dozen games where he was below par. I would rather go for Marvin Martin, very good all round midfielder, or Strootman who looks similar. I haven't seen to much of Strootman mind. I would certainly try to get Ba or Cisse. Ba has a 7million buy out clause apparently and Cisse is only on loan. Baines is another possibly for 5-7 million. if we could get Ba for 7million,Baines for 7million and Martin for 20million and Villa for 25 million we would be the force that we usually are again. add young Clyne that would be around 60 million. Berbatov 7million,Park for 4million, Anderson for 8million and Hernandez, the great falling down Djemba-Djemba of the opposing penalty area, for 10million 1.5 million on De Laet that would bring us in just over 30 million and the yanks part with 30 million (the most I could see them parting with) we'd have the cash. I would also retire Scholes and Giggs and pass on Owen. The ginger prince and the Welsh wizard have been legends. These days anyone who has a couple of good seasons is called a legend, but in these two it's the correct term My heart swells with pride to have been lucky enough to have seen them play, However, time has caught up with them. Giggsy has only looked good in fits and starts this season. Scholsey was magnificent against lesser teams for a month or two, but last night against s**tty he looks worse than I've ever seen him. Let's remember them as the world beaters they were and not the aging has beens that they will become if they keep on going.Football is a game for young people.
With the players I suggest we could have - De Gea, Raphael, Smalling, Vidic,Baines. - Valencia,Mvila,Martin,Nani -Rooney and Wellbeck. In modern day football you need two teams and our second team would be Lindagaard (spelling),Clyne,Jones,Evens,Evra - Pogba, Carrick, Tunnicliffe, Cleverley Young -Ba. I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but even if a miracle happens and we still wine the league, this outfit look far stronger than our aging stars and sub United standard players (Hernandez,Anderson etc). It's time for revolution not evolution

Hey ed I had a chat with a few lads from work and they said we are looking at Rasmus elm, what position dose he play and are we interested thanks Mick {Ed002's Note - Juventus, Spurs, Manchester United and Liverpool have shown interest in Rasmus Elm and Liverpool are well placed to complete the transaction for the midfielder.}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Elm is a decent player if Liverpool can wrap him up. His preferred destination was OT so perhaps we have calmed our interest like we did with Henderson. He would certainly fit in at Liverpool image-wise ;)

This would put Liverpool out of the running for Kagawa if he became available. Another player who wants to move to our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some Swede Hansen & Dixon MotD type people said, "he won't cut it in the EPL"
Needs another season or two.
I thought he was heading for Spurs.
If he's not good enough or ready then I hope he makes a shambles of a signing for Liverpool.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we scouted him in the past but haven't followed through with any real interest. He's not good enough for a top 4 club in my opinion. Like the Ed says Liverpool will probably sign him.

United Till I Die 1987

Ed, any chance of doing a transfer competition , and whoever gets uniteds transfers ins right gets something next to their name ie, red devil or united logo if it is possible to do, or if not then just for fun.

Winston {Ed007's Note - There are too many anonymous posters to do anything like that. I wanted to do a page for it predicting league placings and cup winners etc back in the summer, but no point of endless lists from multiple anonymous people. It's like the lists of players/wishlists/ or what the team might be etc, with no names attached it would just be boring lists after MOTD or the new FIFA comes out. Although it has got better with people using names so maybe something we can look at doing, I will run it past Sheldon and the geek squad. I don't have a problem looking after it if the geek squad set it up and it is taken seriously by people.}

Rumours & gossip

People have said Clyne, Gaitan & now Kagawa are so called done deals.
We all know the transfer window isn't open yet.

Would anyone be surprised if we end up buying some
Cameroon LB no ones heard of from the French Div.1
Followed by some Finland youth superstar prospect.
Then finally someone from the Portugese Div.3 AGAIN for a rip off price tag of 7.4m

We always sign some players that make us scratch our head and think.........what?,Who? & how did he get here signing.

We really don't need a big change, though I would like at least one superstar or potential superstar signing.

Modric, DeRossi, Hazard, Javi Martinez would get in the first team. The made up Finland player would probably end up being a Kleberson, Miller, Djemba type and end up at Kidderminster Harriers in the end.
